The house was perfect for my friends and I for the ski weekend we planned. The only bad part about the house was that the driveway was completely iced over and it was somewhat dangerous trying to get our cars up the steep driveway. Some of the vehicles had to park on the road that couldn't make it up the drive. So I would recommend some de-icing be done to the driveway. That's the only complaint, otherwise the house was stocked with great supplies for the kitchen, and was just what we needed!
There were 6 of us (3 couples) who decided to travel to VT for NYE. It was the best idea ever to rent this place. House is beautiful inside and out. It has everything you need. We loved a Very cosy living room and fireplace. It's about 15 min drive to the ski resort. We had an amazing time and did not want to leave. Thank you very much for letting us stay at your house!
A family reunion for a wedding led us to booking this nice cabin for 3 days in mid-October. Accommodations were just right for 3 couples, and a few more could be squeezed in if necessary. Everything was great.
Only negatives were the fact that we needed to bring towels and sheets (from Minnesota), a fact that was not disclosed when we booked it. And the fireplace seemed to be mediocre at pulling all the smoke up the chimney; as a result it smelled smokey when we got there and every time we had a fire it got smokey again. (Note we have decades of experience building fires in fireplaces.)
We were happy with it and would book again if we need to return.
We stayed here for a skiing/hiking weekend in March with our family. The layout of the house is great with the bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs, kitchen and living room upstairs. There is a large mudroom which is perfect for storing ski bags, boots and gear, and there is a great laundry set up there as well. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, including a crock pot, and great cookware. The house was very clean and the beds and pillows were really comfortable. The pictures do not do this place justice. It is very bright and sunny upstairs and the porch is beautiful. We especially loved the location as we have friends in the area, and it is very close to where we like to hike and only 10 minutes to ski. Booking was easy and the owners were extremely responsive and accommodating. I don't have a single negative thing to say about this lovely home. We would definitely stay here again.
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at the mountain chalet. Location was perfect for us, not too far outside of Killington. The house exceeded our expectations by far. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances, dishes, etc. which allowed us to cook meals everyday during our stay. One of the best parts about our vacation was hanging out at night in front of the fireplace after a long day of skiing. It was perfect. Having the bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs makes it convenient so we didn't have to carry all of our luggage up and down a flight of stairs. The cleanliness of the house was excellent. The open floor plan upstairs is great and allowed everyone to be together. The only regret was not staying longer. We will definitely choose this house next time we go to Vermont and would recommend this property to friends/family. Owners provided excellent customer service as well!!
My friends and I absolutely loved this house after a full day of snowboarding at Killington. The layout was perfect (bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms downstairs) and the kitchen and big living area upstairs with the deck. The fireplace was GOLDEN and warmed the entire house in minutes. The property was easy to get to and you are only on a "country back road" for about 5 minutes which was nice for all the cars without 4x4. We were located 15 minutes from both Killington and Mt. Pico so we alternated between to the two. There are a bunch of rental places as well if you don't have a board. Honestly I've rented many homes for the winter and this house plus the surrounding area was the best stay I've ever had. All amenities are around you (country markets, gas, restaurants) and you aren't searching just to find civilization. Definitely would rent again!
