Milagrosa Hills House Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom Guesthouse With Private Patio, Barbecue, and Hot Tub

Fully furnished 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom Santa Fe Style hillside casita, with incredible views of the mountains and the city of Tucson. This newly constructed guesthouse is fully furnished, including a clothes washer and dryer, and is located in the foothills of the Catalinas, at the base of Mount Lemmon. The guesthouse is located on a three acre property, is surrounded by Saguaros, Ocotillo, and desert wildlife, and has a private patio with a private hot tub.

Arizona National is the closest golf course and is only a 5-10 minute drive from our casita. The closest shopping center is 5 miles (10 minutes) away, according to Google Maps. The drive up to Mount Lemmon starts only minutes away and leads to hiking, cycling, mountain biking, camping, fishing, scenic overlooks, and skiing (depending upon the season and the weather). By car, downtown Tucson is 36 minutes away, and The University of Arizona is 29 minutes away (both according to Google Maps).

The guesthouse is designed to accommodate up to 2 people using the king size bed, but we may be able to accommodate a couple with a small child, as well. Please contact us about this situation ahead of any requests for booking.

Our stay was simply - AMAZING!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent the month of May at this truly amazing property. We came from Los Angeles to get away from the city and enjoy a month immersed in the desert landscapes of Arizona. We did not have a specific location in mind so we just searched Air B N B and VRBO and stumbled across this listing mostly due to the amazing pictures and low price. To be honest our expectations were pretty low based on the price but we decided to give it a shot and were absolutely delighted with our experience. The Casita has everything you would need to enjoy a great stay. Some of our favorite features were the amazing tiled rain shower, king bed, sky lights and well appointed finishing touches of the home. Out of all the home rentals that we have stayed at this was the best experience we've had, and cleanest - it was as if we were the first people to have rented the home. It was spotless. The views cannot quite be described properly with out experiencing first hand. But notably during the day there are fabulous views of the valley, and from the bedroom there are spectacular views of the mountains. The property is really situated ideally in our opinion. Due to the design of the property the sun never came through the windows on our stay, and due to this, we never once had to use the air conditioning. At night the lights of Tucson in the distance are amazing to watch while sitting in the living room or enjoying the night stars out on the Casita's decks. Each night we used the jacuzzi to relax & star gaze and that added to our experience greatly. What a way to end the day! The owners are there if you need them, gone if don't. They were also very personable and informative regarding the area and very attentive in making sure our stay was great. Since the property is located next to/within an animal sanctuary we saw many different species of truly amazing animals!!! The best way to describe our stay is simply, AMAZING!

Comfy Casita Stay

  • 5 of 5

What a comfortable and convenient place to stay! Our five-day agenda included seeing the typical tourists sights in the area, plus hiking in Saguaro National Park and a night Sky Watch tour of the Mount Lemmon Observatories. The casita was the perfect location for easy travel to the places we wanted to visit.

The setting is lovely, with great nighttime views of the stars or the Tucson city lights. The casita is well appointed, with everything you need to grill on the patio or prepare a simple meal in the kitchen. Dining for two can be inside or out, and don't miss the chance to relax in the hot tub.

Finally, the hosts are helpful every way. Thanks so much for answering our many questions and making our stay pleasant, indeed!

Lovely location in the foothills of the Catalinas.

  • 5 of 5

This property was very clean and well-equipped. It was exactly as advertised. Alejandra met me on the street after I became confused about a missing street sign and directed me to the property.. The directions were provided by Google maps and were somewhat inaccurate. She helped me with my luggage and told me about a local park. She gave me a tour of the property. When it was time to leave she again offered to help me. The location was near to Saguaro East NP which rapidly became my favorite destination. I visited Mt Lemmon, the Arizona Sonoran Desert Museum, Saguaro West NP as well. I had a wonderful time and would recommend the location to anyone. Great starry skies at night, too. I used the hot tub which was located on the patio. Very nice after long desert hikes. Very quiet location with spectacular scenery all around. I would definitely return.

A great place to stay at the base of Mt Lemmon

  • 5 of 5

This casita is the perfect place for 2 people. My husband and I were looking for accommodations close to Mt Lemmon so that we could spend our time rock climbing; not driving to the climbing. This place fit our needs perfectly. Just the right size for the 2 of us, close to climbing and places to eat, and best of all a hot tub with great views to soothe sore muscles. The casita was well equipped with the basics in the kitchen and the bed was large and comfy. Even though the owners are right next door, everything felt super private because of how the property is laid out. Alejandra met us when we arrived and wished us safe travels when we departed. Overall, the whole experience was wonderful. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful Setting

  • 5 of 5

The casita was perfect for my stay. The owners are very nice people and were quick to respond so everything went well. The location is fantastic with incredible views and gorgeous sunsets. Did two days of hiking at Mt. Lemmon. The casita was very clean and my only suggestion would be to put some plants or pots on the patio to make it more inviting. All in all a great place to visit and will certainly return.

Beautiful Quiet Serene

  • 5 of 5

The Area - NE Tucson is the area if you want quiet, closeness to nature and recreation. I am a cyclist and writer, this place was perfect. Not as close to the fancy shopping or the very coolest restaurants but no traffic, super quiet. Le Buzz for breakfast and Zone 76 were great choices for dining out btw.

The property - a well designed, brand new, immaculate guest house, plenty of space for two. Nice bathroom, big bedroom, good high speed internet, cable tv, hot tub very well placed so its private with pretty views, back deck with umbrella / table / chairs was my fave hang out. Kitchen is great, no oven but I was not baking lasagna so never missed it. Made breakfasts and lunches, everything i needed was there. Clothes washer dryer worked great.

The nice couple who own the residence are kind, responsive, friendly and almost invisible. Perfect.

Stars and quiet at night. Faces south so views of the city at night, tons of sun pouring in during the day, unless you close the blinds. Windows open for a nice breeze at night.

I shudder to think that I actually considered staying at a Comfort in on a busy street in Tucson. About the same cost as having a nice home here.

Five stars - superb !
