About Garnett Hundley
I live in the main part of this house - renting out the two separate apartments. I enjoy meeting new people and take great pleasure in being able to share this part of the country with others. There's so much to do here you'll have to come back time and time again to see it all. Check out my other property, same location - 352393.
Garnett Hundley purchased this Apartment in 1987
Why Garnett Hundley chose Wallingford
I bought my house in 1987. Once I toured this neighborhood, I knew it was for me. The downstairs apartment was part of the house when I moved in - and has provided opportunity for 'sharing the wealth' all these years. It was fully remodeled approximately 6 years ago to my specifications; a lovely space.
What makes this Apartment unique
You'll be able to look out the back kitchen window at the lovely garden, enjoy the planter boxes that surround the window, enjoy a quiet and peaceful sleep in the bedroom or living room, enjoy the bright sun, walk to the park across the street. If the day is warm, open the front door and let day in - or go outside and sit in the patio area, surrounded by red raspberries, flowers and growing vegetables - meet the neighbors walking the area.

This cozy little apartment is in a great neighborhood. Within a few blocks are lots of restaurants and shops. Trophy cupcakes has delicious cupcakes - even gluten free! My husband loves pastry and the Grand Central Bakery is just a short walk. A lovely park is across the street and lots of shady walks through the neighborhood. The apartment is small but has all you need. Very comfortable bed.
A memorable stay
We loved our stay at Garnett's place. It is within short walking distance to the shops. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. The property is so well looked after and so homely. Facilities in the unit where just what we needed. Garnett was very responsive to any questions we had and easy to contact. I will definitely stay here again when I am next in Seattle. Garnett, thank you for providing us with a place to make our stay in Seattle so memorable.
Thank you for finding me - and please , do stay with me again. You truly enjoyed the Wallingford Village and all its offerings.
We really enjoyed Garnett’s lovely place. It was very close to our daughter’s apartment and we had lovely weather for walking every day. The zoo and several lovely parks are walking distance as are numerous restaurants and cafes. And the bed was so comfy, we slept well every night! And Garnett is a great host - and gardener!
Thank you for your review - and for your enjoyment of this nearby area. I hope you come back!!
Comfortable, cozy and convenient
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for five days over the Christmas holiday. (We were in Garnett's Apartment #1 on the main floor of the house). We were in Seattle for a family gathering at our daughter's house, which is just a couple of blocks away. The apartment has everything two people would need. There are 3 rooms: sitting room in the front, bedroom behind that and small kitchen in the rear. So much nicer than a hotel room! It is decorated colorfully and whimsically and has nice functional touches like well-located lamps for reading. The queen size bed is comfortable and the linens were nice. Though the weather was cold outside, inside the unit was toasty warm and cozy. There are several space heaters that provide as much heat as you like, in addition to the main furnace. There is plenty of natural light from the windows in the sitting room. The only possible negative for the apartment is that the shower stall is quite small. A person of large girth would not be comfortable in it. Other than that, it was quite a perfect place to stay. And, as other reviewers have said, the location is great. The apartment is three blocks from the restaurants and stores on 45th and close to frequent bus service to downtown, the University and elsewhere, on both 40th and 45th Streets. The Wallingford neighborhood is also a charming area to just go walking in. We would happily stay here again.
Thank you for the review. I (and others) appreciate all the detailing.
I truly, truly wish I could enlarge that shower but it was remodeled to fit the largest the room would hold.
I'm glad you and your family had such a lovely holiday. Come back often - lots more special days to come!!
Quiet Seattle neighborhood bungalow
Perfect for a couple who wants a central location in Seattle. Free parking and small well-equipped kitchen to cook breakfasts is a big plus. Bed is comfortable. Overall a great place to stay.
It was nice to meet you - and I hope you'll find another occasion for a return visit.
Thank you for your review.
A lovely homely apartment, which was a great base from which to explore Seattle
This was a really comfortable apartment, with lots of thoughtful touches such as pictures and ornaments to make it feel all homely. The kitchen was very well equipped, the bed was huge and nice, and the shower was strong and hot. The area is a leafy peaceful suburb, yet only 5 minutes walk away is bus no.62 which in 30 minutes takes you to downtown for all the sights. You can park your car for free opposite or just round the corner, in what feels like a nice safe neighbourhood. The owner was very friendly and welcoming during all our email conversations. I would definitely recommend this place to others. Thanks very much!
Thank you for your review. I hope you'll come back for another visit to Seattle.
