Gorgeous, beautifully-appointed 1912 Craftsman bungalow in the premiere walking district of Seattle - theaters, restaurants, shopping and more shopping, parks and trails for walking and biking; close to bus lines to downtown Seattle, the Seattle Art Museum and Seattle Center and the Sound Transit trains; near the tulip fields and ferries to the San Juan Islands and historic areas north of Seattle; Mt. Rainier and Mount St. Helens are a day-trip; quiet, residential neighborhood with plenty of street parking. Relax on the outside patio for some quiet time, enjoy a short walk to one of the neighborhood theaters or restaurants (sushi, Italian, Japanese, Thai, vegetarian, fusion, pizza, etc., etc.). There's nothing you'll need that you can't find in Wallingford. This is the large downstairs unit, with southern-exposure garden windows, a private entrance that is accessed from the side of the house, and a guest-available garden patio.

I live in the main part of this house - renting out the two separate apartments. I enjoy meeting new people and take great pleasure in being able to share this part of the country with others. There's so much to do here you'll have to come back time and time again to see it all.

The Owner purchased this apartment in 1987
I bought my house in 1987. Once I toured this neighborhood, I knew it was for me. The downstairs apartment was part of the house when I moved in - and has provided opportunity for 'sharing the wealth' all these years. It was fully remodeled approximately 6 years ago to my specifications; a lovely space.
You'll be able to look out the back kitchen window at the lovely garden, enjoy the planter boxes that surround the window, enjoy a quiet and peaceful sleep in the bedroom or living room, enjoy the bright sun, walk to the park across the street. If the day is warm, open the front door and let day in - or go outside and sit in the patio area, surrounded by red raspberries, flowers and growing vegetables - meet the neighbors walking the area.
This was a return stay for us. As always it was a peaceful and delightful place to stay. It is a wonderful walking neighborhood with many conveniences within walking distance. We will be back.
Garnett has created the most wonderful bungalow inside and outside. She's thought of everything a visitor would need - really comfy bed, nicely equipped kitchen and bathroom, and a perfect outside sitting area. Location is great in Wallingford. Ruby and Jessie (her cats) are friendly and affectionate! We had the best stay there while visiting our son. 5 gold stars for sure! Thank you Garnett!
Garnett's apartment is a great little spot; super convenient, and equipped with everything a traveler needs for a comfortable home away from home. King bed is especially nice, as well as an actual bathroom counter to spread out all the annoying sample size stuff you have to drag around for travel (this is huge, IMHO). Completely functional kitchen, tho we just made breakfast here (pre-ground coffee and filters supplied). Garnett is a gracious host, and tho we didn't meet this time (we had met face to face on a previous visit), we felt welcomed and attended to in just the right way. She phoned me with a heads up about an anticipated parking challenge on the Fourth of July, when the rest of the city flocks to nearby Gasworks Park to watch the fireworks. She was right: the streets all around were chockablock and had we not heeded her warning to park our car by mid-afternoon (right across the street from apartment entrance), we would've been waaaaay out of luck. We anticipated a noisy night that night, with revelers returning to their cars, but we were not disturbed at all (considerate Seattlites).
Highly recommend Garnett's place!
Wonderful location in a beautiful neighbourhood. Easy walk to groceries and restaurants. The suite was well appointed with everything we needed as well as many homey touches. Street parking can be a challenge but no fees involved and once parked we had no need for our car until we left.
Amazing location. Great bed. Awesome and private hosts.
We'll be back!
This was a repeat stay for us and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This VRBO is in a wonderful location, close to great restaurants, grocery store, pharmacies and many walking destinations. It is very clean and very attractive with all the amenities we wanted and needed. It is close to bus lines to downtown but also has adequate parking for those who are driving a rental car. The owner is on site so any needs are met immediately. We recommend this pretty rental and we will be back.
