Feel right at home at Summer Breeze, a gorgeous 4 level house, located in Summercamp. Explore the area (known as the Forgotten Coast) on bicycles or relax and enjoy breathtaking views from one of the porches. Grab your beach towel and tote (provided) and take a short walk to the secluded white sand beach. Enjoy cooking your own special meal on the gas grill downstairs or in the fully furnished kitchen. Save at least one day to try your hand at kayaking (kayaks provided), or charter a fishing boat out of Carrabelle, just a short drive away. Golf, tennis, nature trails, excellent opportunities for photography, and hiking are all close by. Or take a day trip to Apalachicola to poke around antique shops and sample Apalachicola's legendary fresh oysters. Wherever you wander, you will be glad to return to your 'home away from home', Summer Breeze at St. Teresa.

Why Julie Schulz chose Florida

This unspoiled area of the Gulf coast has been unchanged for many years. Small towns along Highway 98 reflect the relaxed atmosphere of the south. Charter a fishing boat, eat the freshest oysters you ever had, and explore unique shops in Apalachicola.

What makes this house unique

You can really get away from the rat race here. It area has been left 'natural' and is home to many birds, deer, even the occasional black bear or the little gator that lives in the pond across the road. Even in the warmest weather, the screened porch is comfortable for dining. And the beach is nearly private, and has gentle waves and the beautiful soft white sand that this area is famous for.

Summer breeze in December

  • 5 of 5

This house was fantastic! A little further from Tallahassee than we were looking for but the house and location were well worth the extra drive. The boardwalk just down the street that leads to the beach provided quick access to a lovely and secluded beach where we took many walks at all times of the day. The amenities in the house were excellent. We used the kayaks one afternoon but the weather was not the best so we didn't go far. We also took the bicycles out around the neighborhood a couple of days. The house itself provided excellent views from the many decks. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all very comfortable and stocked with plenty of towels and paper products. There are many restaurants nearby but we only tried one in Panacea. We really loved our stay and everyone agrees that we should make sure we need to return next time we are visiting the area.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your helpful review and we do make every effort to keep the house well stocked with everything you need! We'd love to have you back again, and you will get to try some of the other restaurants in the area, and maybe check out nearby Wakulla Springs. We hope to see you again soon. And once you get used to the drive, it is just a short trip (about 1 hour) from Tallahassee!

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful property, beach was full of wildlife....starfish, conch shells (we found one intact measuring over 12" long and 7" wide), saw a bald eagle, dolphins. We saw one other person on the beach in 3 days! Beautiful home, comfortable beds, full bath in every room! We will return!

Beautiful spot for family and friends to enjoy quiet and peaceful surroundings. We enjoyed sitting on the beach, riding the bikes, kayaking, and canoeing!

None of us wanted to go home!

We are looking forward to our next visit!

Very quiet beach vacation

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for a very quiet beach vacation this is the place. This house was very comfortable and clean. It is roomy and with the bedrooms on different floors very private. Everything you will need is provided and in good condition. The area is very well kept and there is no one around on the beach in the pool or around the development. The beach is clean and the water very shallow nice white sand easy to walk or just sit and relax. There are several good restaurants in the area Angelos and Sons was excellent for fresh seafood and not a la carte anymore. Overall a nice place to visit.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the great review of the house. I'm sure it will help other guests know what to expect. Also, good to know that Angelo's is not a la carte any longer. It's close to the house and has great views. We'd love to have you back any time, so just give us a call!

Best vacation rental experience we've had!

  • 5 of 5

It was beautiful! If you like to be away from the crowd this is the place for you. We were a 3 generation group and we ALL loved it! The house is large enough the 6 of us had more than enough room. We went to the beach daily, sharing it with a couple fishermen and many ocean creatures...crabs, starfish, manta rays. It's a very calm shallow area, which was great for our 3 year olds. It was amazing. The pool was also very nice, very well taken care of and never crowded. We can't wait to go back!

Owner's Response: Thank you Jill for providing a great picture of what this area is all about. It's also great to know that 3 generations all came together and enjoyed it. We'd love to have your family back again any time you can get away for a relaxing vacation.
