This home is located near the heart of historic Seaview, Washington and is just a few blocks from Bloomer Mansion (same owners).Enjoy outdoor expansive first and second story decks with barbecue, outdoor hot tub. Also new is your own private path to the beach through six acres of native pines, wetlands and dune grass. Note: The path may be impassable in the Winter as ponds fill with rainwater.

This newer craftsman beach home has so much to offer. So many amenities!

About Chandy Gaub

The 45th Street Beach House is the second vacation rental that Rob and Heidi own on the Long Beach Peninsula. The first is the Bloomer Mansion. 'We all love the Long Beach WA Peninsula, and frankly we never imagined that the Bloomer Mansion would become so successful that it is rented out nearly every weekend. We actually needed a place to stay when we came to the beach.'

Rob and Heidi both fell in love with the 45th Street Beach House and purchased it in December 2009. It is the perfect size for one or two families, has a fantastic ocean view, a hot tub on the porch, and a large garage, that over time, will be converted to an amazing recreation room.

They are hopeful you will enjoy their second home as much as the Bloomer Mansion - but perhaps not so much that they never get a chance every weekend is booked year round.

We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to anyone with a large group. Nicely supplied kitchen for those who enjoy cooking for themselves. we were a group of musicians with plenty of room for string instruments including an upright bass to play in the living room area while the others enjoyed watching the rain. All in all we had a great time with our friends!

We were very pleased with the house. The only thing that could have made it better, is if it were a little closer to the beach. We appreciated that this house has some toddler dishes for our little one, very family friendly. I was expecting a strong musty smell, due to other reviews but was pleased to see there was very little of that. None of us noticed it enough for it to be any problem. I had to change credit info about a month before our stay, and they were very friendly and helpful. We would stay with this company again.

The owners are constantly looking for different amenities to make the house super comfortable for adults and kids of all ages, and we are so happy that you appreciated the toddler dishes. Also, thanks so much for bringing up the "musty" smell. The garage was converted to a recreation room (pool table, ping pong, arcade basketball, TV etc) a few years ago and then completely closed in. That room can have a slight musty smell that some people are sensitive about. Most people don't notice it at all, and if they do, having the big extra bonus room seems to be worth it or they can choose to just watch TV in the upstairs living room. We are looking for solutions, as we can't locate any source for the smell. The owners are aware and the hope is we will have a solution before long. Chandy-Bloomer Estates Management

The house size and layout is exactly what we all liked. However the supposedly pet friendly yard - WAS NOT!! the yard was very un-kept and full of little thorns that we had to continuously take out of our dogs paws and the bottom of our shoes. The yard was not usable at all!!! We had to basically walk our dogs out of the yard each time they needed to do their business. HUGE inconvenience. The oven also dis not work properly. We tried a couple of times to bake in in and it would shut itself off. Gave up after the brownies half cooked, restarted oven and then they were hard. There also were spiders everywhere inside and out of this home!!!

Owner's Response: Hi Katharine, we are so sorry your stay was not as great as we would have hoped! These little thorns are difficult to remove once they are in the yard. The owners are going to do all they can to remove them from the property. One thing to note about the yard at 45th is it is really tiny and not really a yard at all. It does have on the west side the private path through the pine trees to the ocean, which is huge. We like to think the beach is the real "yard". In any case, we appreciate the feedback so the owners are focused on either getting it fixed, or finding a way to fence off the part of the property causing the issues so as to save the paws of the pets. If the oven is indeed broken, a new one will be ordered soon. This is the first we have heard of this issue. Also, this is the first we have heard of the spiders-so we will spray immediately. Again, we are sorry your stay was not perfect, but your feedback is valued, and I am sure the next guest will appreciate the fixes. Chandy-Bloomer Estates Management

Love the location and the house works fine. While I consider the $375 per night rental fee per night as "pricy," there are some minor issues worth mentioning. For example, there were nearly no hangers for clothes in the bedroom closets. The upper deck shakes considerably when someone walks across it. Check in time was very late (4 p.m.) when it could be more reasonable such as 3 p.m. or earlier. A suitable floor mat at the former garage entry would help minimize pine needles or other grassy debris from entering the house.

We are always available for guests so we are hoping when you come back, if you see anything missing please give us a chance to fix them while you are here. We have added hangers, and have checked on the deck. We aren't seeing any shaking, but for sure we will double check to make sure it is secure. We are used to get 5 out of 5 scores on cleanliness, and we really do need the full 5 hours between 11 and 4 to get the houses cleaned. But if you want an earlier check in time, please call ahead. If the houses is ready, you can come anytime! Hard to do in the summer, but much of the winter we have the houses cleaned well in advance. Chandy-Bloomer Estates Management

Mold smell from garage renovation

The kitchen is well stocked and house clean. Beds are usual rental house quality. The well intentioned renovated to game room garage was very problematic however - what can only be described as a mold smell enveloped the room causing headaches and throat irritation. If the door was not kept shut this strong odor was apparent in the lower floor bedrooms and even upstairs. We left a note on this condition for the property management.
