Great mother/daughter getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed this adorable home. Very convenient location in Market district. Plenty to do within walking distance, including restaurants, shopping and Whole Foods. The home was a great landing place at the end of the day on our adventures! Kitchen nicely stocked, newer washer and dryer and comfortable beds. Home was very clean and Mike was a very gracious host. The only downside given the nature of our trip was the immediate vicinity. The home is off a narrow street and surrounded by businesses and storage units. We used Uber often, and since it was just the two of us traveling, felt uncomfortable getting picked up/dropped off at home due to location. So, we remedied by using Clark's restaurant just around the corner as pickup/drop-off. I'd highly recommend this property based on convenient location and helpful and responsive owner.

Very welcoming experience!

Mike ws such a welcoming host and gave great local recommendations (we went to Clark's every day!). The home itself is very privately nestled on an unassuming street, and within walking distance to so many amazing sites, restaurants, and the best Whole Foods I've ever been in. Thank you again for opening up your home to us during ACL!

This was a perfectly situated spot. It is quiet, and was so conveniently located. It's about 3 blocks from the original Whole Foods. The house had everything an out of town traveler would need. The owner is as generous and welcoming, and helped out with recommendations on restaurants and nearby places. I would rent this house in a second if we go back to Austin.

I came to Austin in 1970 to go to UT, fell in love with Austin, and have lived here ever since. I have lived in my house for 25 years and watched this city grow all around me.

Why Mike Beisman chose Austin

I raised my daughters in this house and both graduated from Austin High. One graduated from UT and the youngest graduated from Colorado Boulder. Kids are gone now, I tease them about renting out their room.

We moved the house to the rear of the lot in 1971 so to access the house you need to drive down the alley and it affords a unique privacy for downtown Austin.
