Reviewer Comments:

The location of the property to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Traverse City, Leland, etc. was perfect. The kitchen and gas grill were clean and in working order. The unit itself is definitely a rental and although, not dirty it was not fresh. The air conditioners are wall units that run constantly. What was not perfect was the property that surrounded it. When I booked the vacation home in January, the description mentioned a ski resort. What it didn't mention was the resort is surrounded by a chain linked fence, weeds and a for sale sign. We loved the staff at Visit Up North and would use their site again but would not book this unit again.

Reviewer Comments:

We were 7 adults that stayed here while up north for the Taste of the Season wine tour on the Leelanau Peninsula. The location of the condo was great and central to all wineries. We rented the property because it had 4 bedrooms with 4 en suite bathrooms. The rental company (Visit Up North)was great to work with and kept me updated on everything. We did not have hot water the first morning until we realized that the hot water heaters circuit breaker was flipped ( later learned it was by the condo management). I feel the condo could have been cleaner - it was dusty and kitchen floor was sticky. The condo seemed dark and more lamps in the rooms would be beneficial. The value was good, the location was good, and the rental agency was great. We were out and about most of our time there and this property met our needs.

Reviewer Comments:

This townhome was very functional for our group of 5 adults. Plenty of beds, bathrooms and living space. Loved having a washer/dryer available and that the kitchen had enough cooking supplies for us to cook-in every night--even had a crock pot. Only thing missing was a corkscrew for wine. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms functional. It is awesome to have 4 baths for privacy and ease of use, especially when the whole crew is trying to get ready at the same time.

Reviewer Comments:

This is going to be a strange review, so bear with me! We had a great time enjoying this spacious condo. It was perfect for 3 couples. Each having our own bath was wonderful, and we used the 4th bedroom (with the bunk beds) to store our road bikes, so that was handy. However, none of the reviews I read (nor the property description) disclose that this resort complex has been vacant since the early 2000s. This group of condominiums is right next door to an abandoned, decrepit hotel, an empty, long-ago closed pool and other vacant buildings. The abandoned chair lifts (and their buildings) are rather eerie and although a trek to the top of the ski hills provides spectacular views, the buildings are graffiti covered and are being used by teens as a place to smoke pot and drink. If that doesn't bother you (it really didn't bother us) much fun can be had making jokes about the zombies that surely live in the abandoned hotel. And if you like "quiet", this place definitely fits the bill. That condo itself is in good condition and clean; the kitchen was well stocked enough for us to make a pretty beautiful dinner one evening and the place is really comfortable. If you don't mind the overall ambiance of an abandoned ski resort (and if you like zombies) this is a great destination for adults. Not sure I'd bring the kids...

Owner's Response: Kids love the area plenty of room to run and an open swimming pool in the summer to enjoy for the condos. I am sure there are no zombies and you must have been there on an off weekend that people were partying in there, they really monitor it. The condo itself is not butted up to the resort and there are so many positives that the resort being closed is only sad. I hope you will come back and enjoy yourself and your funny stories but it has been a wonderful place for families to save money and be close to everything!

The condo was great. Everything was clean and it had a decent selection of kitchen tools for cooking. Beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. Like most places in this area, expect a drive to/from wherever you are going.
