Cool game room

  • 3 of 5

House has negatives and positives. Game room is a positive with pool table, tv, sofas to lounge on. The game room is a fun room to have. The tv wasn't working properly but management came out within 20 mins and fixed it. We planned to do lots of cooking and baking but kitchen was very small. It was difficult for more than 1 person to be in the kitchen. Kitchen had no cookie sheets and no oven mitts. Also the kids made a mess with chips on the floor but there was no broom or mop to clean up with. Mattress on beds are extremely uncomfortable. Everyone in our group complained of not sleeping well. Thermostat was not working properly. It kept getting too hot, even though we had it set to 70°. You can hear every noise and foot steps from upstairs. Living room is spacious, we had a good movie night in front of the fireplace. Hill in the backyard was perfect for kids to sled on. Master bedroom is very cozy and bathroom has nice bathtub with jets. Could have more stars if some of the negatives were addressed.

Beautiful Cabin close to Big Bear Village

  • 5 of 5

The house was very clean and cozy, and had plenty of room for 10 of us to eat dinner together, hang out in the living room and play games together, and the kids to go upstairs to play pool and have their own fun, too. There was lots snow for the kids to play outside, everybody was really happy! Make sure to bring a warm blanket for the front bedrooms, though. Also, if it's warm enough outside, you can even walk down to Big Bear Village, it's not too far of a walk.

The street that this property was on was I paved and very icy. The driveway was also covered in ice. Walking into the front door the homes appearance was nice. Upon looking more closely there were crumbs and other debris on the wooden floors, as I wiped them up the floor was very dirty. The kitchen table top was also sticky. This was very disappointing since the cleaning fee is quite hefty. The heater did not work well. The beds were all very uncomfortable and lacked blankets on 3 out of the 6 beds. The light above the oven did not work, the outlets in one of the downstairs bedrooms did not work , the hot water is turned up so high it will burn you , the laundry room had a rug that was completely soaked from maybe a leak, and there were cigarette butts all around the back patio area. I would recommend to always choose a property that has had several reviews before booking.
