1195- Grumpy Bear Retreat
Our stay was fine, cabin is just very dated. The biggest issue was the TVs are super small and super low end, also you don't get very many channels, we were there when a lot of college basketball conference championships was going on and my husband was pretty bummed there was no ESPN. Anyway, it is in a nice quiet little neighborhood and I would say it's fairly priced, I thought the beds were comfortable enough. I just felt like cmon you can put a little effort to spruce the place up a bit, the living room furniture was very questionable, you have a cabin that sleeps 8 but you have a small dirty looking couch and 2 recliners and the "game table" is an air hockey table where the puck barely slides because it is so old... This cabin will serve its purpose just know you are getting nothing fancy and nothing high end and you will probably be a tab bit disappointed with something.
Our stay was good we enjoyed it, except for some minor improvements, like mattresses were uncomfortable need to be replaced. TVs are out dated and too small.
Although we enjoyed our stay, we had some difficulties with the steep driveway as my husband uses a walker and it was hard for him to get up & down the driveway without help. The cabin was comfortable and had basically things that were needed. However we felt having only one towel per person for a two day stay was not enough. We could have brought more if we knew. We enjoyed dinner at the Pines restaurant and would recommend it to everyone.
Great cabin & quiet & peaceful neighborhood. I would strongly recommend this cabin & area, near the village & lake we were very happy with everything. Big Bear Vacations ! Thank you so much for all of your help.
