Perfect spot for our first stay in LA

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Atwater. The studio was just perfect to accommodate our needs. Clean, updates, and comfortable. The outdoor seating areas were a perfect place to chill and have some breakfast that we picked up after walking to the Proof bakery, a few blocks away in town.

Kristen was an excellent host and made sure our stay went smoothly. My wife and I loved and LA and we will be returning and will rent this property again :).

Cute but not cozy

  • 3 of 5

The room was very cute and had all the conveniences we needed except for heat. Upon walking in, we noticed a funny smell. Perhaps it was the cleaning agent used, but it lingered for our entire stay. The doors rattled from the wind the entire first night, preventing us from getting much sleep and it was so cold. We tried to turn on the heat but were very disheartened to find there was no heat. Overall, I think the place was nicely decorated and clean, but we were not comfortable.

Owner's Response: I'm so sorry you had this experience with my hear. However I was not even notified about this. It would have been any easy fix with communication. I am always available to answer questions andakenmy guests more comfortable . Next time I suggest you reach out to your host!

Great, quiet place to stay

  • 4 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood is quiet and the yard is lovely, and Kristen was very attentive and available if we needed anything or had any questions. The space is as pictured- cute and perfectly adequate for one or two people. Our favorite part, however, was all of the excellent independent restaurants, shops and bakeries within walking distance. It was also very easy to drive to lots of other neighborhoods, downtown, Hollywood, etc. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit LA.

Surprisingly Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

Given my experience and perception of Southern California being chaotic with the hustle and bustle of life down here, it was very nice to find a place that was serene and peaceful. While close to the freeways and businesses, we heard more birds than cars. The outdoor area was great to sit and have a cup of coffee or tea and read a book. The indoor space was perfect for two people. The decor seemed to be inspired by Chip and Joanna Gains. A little slice of heaven and much needed relaxation. The owner was very accommodating and communicative.

The unit is a darling secluded garden apartment with patio

  • 5 of 5

I stayed for three nights. The bed was very comfortable and the setting was lovely. The apartment is a short three block walk from the best bakery-cafe I've been to, the Village Bakery, where I breakfasted.

The owner of the unit was friendly and very responsive to the one problem I had and immediately corrected it, despite not being on site. I'd stay there again!

Great experience. Exactly as described and pictured (With lots of updates so actually nicer than described.) Was super easy and convenient to access and the location is amazing. Just blocks from great shops and places to eat. And the street the property's on and surrounded by are really quiet and peaceful. Was enjoyable to stroll around the neighborhood.

There is a great boutique spa 5 minutes walk from the house with sauna, steam, and body treatment services. The fire pit at the house can be used to grill and there is chopped firewood and smoking coals available.
