Recently renovated cottage from top to bottom offering first availability summer of 2011. All new electric, plumbing, cabinets, appliances and electronics along with interior finishes, not the least of which is the newly refinished hardwood floors that were discovered under year's old carpeting. In addition to the complete renovation, we more recently made a significant investment in 2013, replacing the windows along with structural renovation and encapsulation of the crawlspace, eliminating humidity in the house, further mitigated by complete replacement of all HVAC ductwork.
You'll enjoy the peaceful setting from your picture window seat in the living room that affords a full view of the front yard (and the occasional black squirrels that pass through). The 40" HD LED Smart TV provides traditional television content as well as NetFlix movies and other entertainment options.
The master bedroom features its own bathroom along with Olympic Queen Sleep Number bed, 28" LED TV and closet. The second bedroom is likewise equipped with a 28" LED TV and two Twin Beds along with a small closet.
The full featured kitchen is equipped with gas range, microwave and refrigerator in the midst of ample counter space along with brand new cabinets. You'll also find a stacked washer and dryer quieted by its closet in the corner of the kitchen.
In the midst of the renovation we made an effort to retain a few relics from the original house such as the cased entry into the kitchen [retained the North trim piece with all its flaws!], the 2-panel doors [two were converted to pocket doors and the other two retained in their original state, complete with glass door knobs].
Location, optimized space along with all the conveniences and comforts to make your stay in Saugatuck one to be remembered!

We are Dave & Laurie Boller and are pleased that you're visiting our listing!
Originally from Florida [Dave grew up in Tampa - Laurie grew up in Key West], we moved to the Midwest in 1995, raising two children in the Chicago suburbs accompanied by our Labrador Retriever.
We enjoy the RV lifestyle, having traveled the country in a travel trailer and now a motorhome, which currently is our principal residence while we engage in seasonal employment at recreational venues around the country.
With that, it's easy to guess that we enjoy all things outdoors, be it hiking mountain trails or walks on the beach and everything in between.
Dave Boller purchased this cottage in 2010
Following a vacation along the Michigan shore July of 2010 we found ourselves making day trips back to the various communities, finally settling on Saugatuck for its small harbor town appeal along with the shopping, restaurants, beach and access to Lake Michigan. We picked this particular property because of its immediate proximity to town while leveraging the elevation of the hill to escape the congestion of the business district.
Access to town along with a quiet, peaceful neighborhood setting. Sipping morning coffee while sitting in the living room picture window will be a great way to start the day. Five minutes out the front door you can be making your choice where you'll be having breakfast in town after which you can enjoy a walk along the harbor or ride the chain ferry to the other side of the river.
This place was perfect for our family of 4. Very clean and cute place with nice yard. Also, close/convenient quick walk to town or high school track to get in some exercise. 10 minute drive to Oval Beach was also easy. We will definitely be back in future summers or fall.
The Mason Street cottage was perfect for us (myself, husband and dog). The house is clean and well furnished. The queen bed is very comfortable. The cottage is in a lovely Saugatuck neighborhood that is quiet but very close to shops and restaurants and a short drive to great hiking and beaches. We emailed a question to the owner during our stay and got a prompt and friendly response.
This cottage is perfect for a getaway in the Saugatuck area! I stayed with girlfriends for a weekend and we had absolutely no complaints, everything was exactly as advertised. Excellent communication from the owner with rental and arrival information, spotlessly clean and neat as a pin, tastefully decorated, detailed instructions to help enjoy the stay and prepare for departure, prompt return of security deposit. The furniture and beds were cozy, plenty of towels, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen. Very safe, quiet, beautiful neighborhood. We didn't have time to enjoy the outdoor furniture and grill, but it looked lovely. We are hoping to return again next year for our annual weekend. Thank you, Dave, for the awesome accommodations!
It was a lovely place with all the amenities we could have hoped for. Very close to town and overall a great experience.
Nicely renovated as explained in their vrbo information. Very clean on a quiet street, yet steps away from downtown Saugatuck.
I stayed in this house for two nights with a couple friends. We were amazed by the great use of space. It was cozy, but had good room for people to just relax and hangout. It was a nice 5-7 minute walk to town and had a cute grill and patio furniture but it was too cold to use for us. Overall a great place for 4 people (we didn't have anyone on the couch).
Beautifully situated in a quiet neighborhood, yet within steps of town and the waterfront. Incredible shopping and dining abound, complimented by local attractions such as Oval Beach, dunes, markets and seasonal activities.
