About Jennifer Alessi
We love travel, and we love to use VRBO to vacation ourselves, so it seems natural that we would want to share our home and help others create vacation memories that last a time time.
Jennifer Alessi purchased this Chateau / Country House in 2006
Why Jennifer Alessi chose Steamboat Springs
The fact that Steamboat has so many activities to offer and with its western heritage and down to earth attitude, It truely has something for every one. Champagne Powder, Worldclass Snowmobiling on Rabbit Ears Pass, National Forest access minutes away. World class fishing opportunities close-by. Music and Mountain Culture too!
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
The convenience of being able to bring the entire family and all the pets to a safe and fun environment with enough room to spread out and enjoy. Having so many amenities on site is the definition of luxury. Having wonderful pasture for your horses, a pond for the dogs and a gameroom for the kids? And Awesome peace and quiet for you...

Beautiful home and property that was fully equipped for our long weekend in Steamboat.
Wonderful Winter Wonderland
The home is so lovely and the kitchen is well-stocked with items necessary to feed a crowd. The home is well-suited for providing entertainment (tv, foosball, video games, sauna) for those who want it in a separate, well-defined first floor recreation area while allowing others to enjoy the peace and quiet of a fire in the main living area. We would not hesitate to come back again if the home is available.
Exactly What You Want In A Steamboat Rental
This property is so great that I almost don't want to write a review about it so that it may be available when we want to return.
It's located about 10 to 15 minutes from town in the valley right after Rabbit Ears pass. The kitchen is large and literally had everything you could need to make a lovely meal for a lot of people. We are a foodie family and commented on the quality of the kitchen items - le creuset, William Sonoma dish wear, etc.
The main floor lining room/dining area is spacious and comfortable. There is a large window so that you can see the beautiful valley surrounding you. The sunsets are breathtaking. So pretty.
Off of the main floor living room, there is a short hallway. The first door to the left is the bathroom (which is the bathroom utilized by the second-floor area). It's a nice-sized bathroom with a shower and a pedestal sink.
The hall ends into the Master bedroom, which has its own bathroom (including a clawfoot tub) and a small office with a separate door. The Master also has lots of windows showing the valley around you and a door into the deck, which includes the hot tub very close to the Master Bedroom door.
Near the halfway from the main living area are the stairs upstairs to the second floor area. This area does not have its own door, so if anyone in your party is sleeping up here and goes to bed early, you will need to keep the main living area quiet or head to the downstairs area (which is fabulous). The second floor area is large and has one double bed and two twin beds. It's right upstairs from the bathroom. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for everyone and their luggage.
The downstairs area is accessed by a spiral staircase at the end of the main dining/living room. It is a walk-out basement, so there is plenty of light and access. Downstairs there is a large living room with a television and sectional sofa, a "gaming" smaller television with two chairs facing it, a bar area, a foosball table, a bathroom with shower, a sauna, a laundry room with a dog-washing tub, and a bedroom with a queen bed and a large closet.
There was a giant snowstorm the day we checked in and the property manager, Cobb, who lives on-site was AMAZING. He checked in with us on the way up to discuss the condition of the roads, the made sure we could access the property due to the significant snow, cleared the decks and the roads of the snow every day, and was available to answer any questions.
Ultimate Steamboat Property
Staying at Sweet Air Ranch was the best decision we made. The property has beautiful scenic views, solitude in an otherwise busy ski town, and wonderful amenities. What else could you ask for?
We loved this property and intend to come back and enjoy it again
