Pine Mountain Club is the perfect Southern California destination for travelers seeking great scenery, relaxation, and a lot of fun. Just 90 miles north of Los Angeles and surrounded by vast old forests that shelter a wide variety of flora and fauna, including the rare California Condor, you’ll quickly understand why Pine Mountain Club is the ultimate “nearby faraway place,” offering ample recreational opportunities for visitors of all ages.
Come experience the natural beauty of Pine Mountain Club by staying in this lovely 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom cabin, whose design was inspired by a Swiss Chalet and built with love. Even though this home feels very cozy and intimate, there’s enough room to easily accommodate over a dozen guests, which makes it an ideal setting for large family gatherings or groups traveling together. The living areas are spacious enough for large or small families to spend ample time together, yet the 3 separate floors allow everyone to have his or her own privacy. Head to the upstairs loft for some spectacular views, relaxation on the loft deck, or to utilize the Jacuzzi bathtub located in the loft bedroom’s en-suite bath. The home’s washer and dryer are also up in the loft. On the main floor, you’ll find another full bathroom and a bedroom perfect for the kids, offering 2 sets of bunk beds and a crawl space for storage or hiding. Prepare delicious meals in the fully equipped kitchen, complete with dishwasher, before gathering for a fun family dinner. Adjacent to the dining area is the expansive living area, featuring a complete, brand new Entertainment Center with Dish Satellite TV, CDs, DVDs books, puzzles, and games for guests of all ages, as well as massive picture windows that extend 20 feet up to the majestic vaulted ceilings. From here, you can look out onto the large wraparound deck and observe the beautiful trees, birds, and never-ending sky.
This cabin is located at the top of a hill, right across from a stream running alongside a nature trail walk to the nearby waterfall. You really are in nature here, because the house backs up to the 1.7 million-acre Los Padres National Forest! Pine Mountain Club is a family-oriented, friendly, safe community with plenty of services to make your stay as comfortable as possible, yet the area is small enough to feel “away from it all.” There are activities for everyone to enjoy, including golf, tennis, swimming, hiking, horseback riding, playgrounds with equipment for kids, a baseball diamond, restaurants, shops, and much more. Owner cares and is responsive. We should be back for a third college retreat!
Treetops cabin is one of the last homes at the top of a two mile hill. It does accommodate 14 people sleeping doubled up, or on bunk beds. But was very crowded with 12. Counter space is limited in the kitchen, but we were able to cook. However, we weren't able to sit together at the small dining table.
The cabin did provide space for gatherings; and waking up surrounded by God's creation was wonderful.
Would recommend for families.
It has taken almost a year to put this review up, and mainly because I didn't think I could review since I didn't have an account when I booked this. The owner was excellent, helpful, and available when we had questions about the house, and they were more than fair, gracious, honest, and understanding in handling some property damage during our stay. The house itself was beautiful, better than the pictures reveal, our group enjoyed every minute of our stay there, the available entertainment in the house was a pleasant surprise, plenty of things to keep all ages busy and amused, and the nearby hiking trail(literally at the end of the driveway) was good exercise too. The best part was the layout of the main floor, it had ample space for our group of 16 gather in, or to spread from kitchen to living area to the exterior deck bbq while holding a conversation. This property is tucked away at the top of the road, it's still close enough to be convenient to the local amenities, but far enough up to offer a bit of seclusion compared to other properties in the area. We loved the Tree House, thanks again for the great experience.
Great stay! Great location! Loved that the trail to the waterfall was right across the street. The cabin is great and in a great condition. Very comfortable with lots of blankets and provisions to make sure that everyone who stays is comfortable.
There was 11 in our group and we all had a blast!
Just some minor fixes here and there. The fire place let a lot of smoke out into the cabin at one point (nothing that opening the widow couldn't fix) and one of the bunk beds has a broken board (easy fix).
Overall, very pleased!
It was very quiet here. Not much to do if you're looking for excitement. But we did enjoy the hike to the waterfall. The cabin was a nice size, but not really private unless you stay in the lowest level. Well stocked with games to play, towels, kitchen stuff, etc...
Our stay at the Tree House was great! My family and extended family came just a a little weekend treat and it was great! The house was well taken care of and clean. It was nice to be able to sit on the outside deck in the evenings and enjoy the quiet! The nature trails are right outside the door which was great! The kids loved playing outside the home and in the cul-de- sac. The only things that we would recommend would be for the bunk beds to be tightened as they were a little wobbly, my niece was afraid to sleep on the top and none of the adults were brave enough to for fear they would break and the deck there are gaps around the trees that small children could slip through so if you have small children you really need to be careful! But overall would highly recommend!
