Not the Ritz but who needs that when your in Hawaii

Cute and comfortable but what makes it OH SO SPECIAL is the view. If you are torn between a fancier place that's not directly on the water and this one, choose this. It makes all the difference in the world. We sat on the deck every morning and watched the sunrise and fed the silly Myna birds and wood peckers (they like danish best). Very quiet, really cant hear the traffic from the road from the deck or inside just the waves. Could use a little sprucing up, the reason I gave it a four instead of a five, but that certainly won't affect the quality of your stay. Bed was decent. Great for the price. Arish, the manager, is very sweet and accommodating. Arish left ya a bottle of wine, an old lady can only drink so much even on vaca, hope ya didn't give that away.

great views w reservations.......

My wife and I loved the views and the location. Kitchen worked well for basic self-catering and loved the large bathroom and the shower that had a door opening up to the ocean view beyond.

After we bought new cotton sheets we slept better on the bed. After finding our granola bag munched open and the on the floor the first night, we kept all food in the upper cupboards or fridge the rats were not too problematic. We left the supplied rat trap for the property to use. Hopefully this problem will be resolved for future renters.

Wonderful place!

Wonderful place!

Thank you for wonderful four nights on the ocean shore.

It was nice to wake up and look at the beautiful sunrise. Charcoal BBQ was awesome. Just sit in lanai, do nothing and watch the ocean was great. A seal on the beach was a nice extra.

Not a fancy place, more like a cottage but clean and relaxing. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and in eh bath.

As someone mentioned, it might be hot at night but if you keep the lanai door open it is not bad at all. Kind of remind you that you are in an “always summer” island.

Beach was not really perfectly swimmable (we swam) as we were at the time of storm. But the location is very convenient and you can drive to any other part of the island easily.

Famous shrimp tack a short drive north… Make sure you do not miss it, yellow track on the mountain side.

Arish was great helping with everything we needed.

Thanks a lot.

Perfect Oceanfront Retreat at a Great Price!!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful oceanfront bungalow for four nights before traveling to Kauai. It was the perfect place for us. As we relaxed from a long flight, looking out over the water, it seemed as if we were on a ship. The ocean is so close; the sounds of the waves and smell of the sea air were wonderful. Arish, the manager, was very kind and helpful. We met the nice lady who cleans the bungalows and the house and had a delightful visit with her. She told us about a place that had fantastic fish. We had several delicious breakfasts at Keneke's in Punaluu. We enjoyed talking to the owner and touring his back yard with the beautiful trees, plants, and mountain view. Polynesian Cultural Center was in Laie, close to the bungalow, and was so educational and entertaining. The luau and the play, "Ha, Breath of Life" were amazing. After visiting Pearl Harbor, we had a great breakfast at Anna Marie's which was recommended by the tour guide. We then traveled all around the island, stopping at breath-taking vistas, ending back at our comfortable, perfect bungalow. If we ever return to Oahu, we would love to stay at rental 36344 again.

See the view, breathe the air, and just say "Aahhh..."

We stayed in Bamboo Tiki for four nights, and it was a wonderful way to end our two-week "second honeymoon" in Hawaii. We wanted quiet relaxation on the ocean and that is just what we got. We took a kayak out twice, which was awesome, and saw turtles! We snorkled right off the lagoon...get vinegar in the event of a jellyfish sting : )... and took tours at Kualoa Ranch, which is right down the street. It is an easy drive to Waikiki or further to the north. The turn into the driveway is intimidating at first, but you get used to it. Everything is just as it is pictured. Comfortable bedroom, huge bathroom with a shower door that opens to the outside--very cool!--and an efficiency kitchen. The bungalow is perfect for couples, and I am sure the main house is perfect for families of any age and constellation. The lagoon would be great for little kids to play in, and then the whole ocean is right on the other side of the rocks. There is also a beach right "next door" to the north. There were other people on site when we were there, we saw them once. We had all the privacy you'd need. We would definitely stay here again, it was clean, comfortable, in an excellent location, and the views were beautiful!!! Arish was very responsive when we needed a light bulb, and very encouraging when I was a little afraid before our first kayak trip. Overall, this is a great vacation spot!!
