Discover this seaside escape, tucked away on 33rd Avenue and just 4 houses away from the beach. Your family will be delighted with this traditional Isle of Palms home that not only highlights the best of the past, but has been completely renovated to feature all the amenities and conveniences of the future. Located on a corner lot, the tradition of the Isle of Palms comes alive with the two large porches (the first level is screened) and roof top deck. Each porch features comfortable seating which bring back an era when most islanders spent their time outside when on the Island. A spiral staircase takes you to a fantastic roof top deck. When you are not spending time on the screen porch or sun deck, 6 on 33rd Avenue has a wonderful private in-ground pool surrounded by a spacious deck. After the beach, this is the ideal place to spend a few hours with the kids with easy access to snacks and drinks in the kitchen just feet away.
Each evening your family will enjoy the completely renovated interior of 6 on 33rd Avenue. The first floor features beautiful tile throughout. The living area has comfortable furnishings plus a large flat screen television and sound system. A bedroom is also located on the first floor featuring a queen bed. The bathroom on the first level is amazing with one of the most unique showers inside the deluxe tub. There is a game room on the first floor that features a full size air hockey table located just off the pool deck. Finally, the kitchen is just tremendous and features stainless appliances with a Wolf stove/oven and Subzero refrigerator. The countertops are all granite. Some of the most expensive homes on the Island do not feature appliances as nice as 6 33rd Avenue.
The second floor features three bedrooms, one being the master bedroom. The master bedroom includes a king bed gas fireplace, French doors that lead to the second level porch and a spacious walk in closet. The guest bedroom on the second floor features a queen bed. Finally, the kid’s room is the largest bedroom in the home. It might be tough to get them to the beach each morning since their room is so much fun. Featuring a pirate theme, the kid’s room includes a large sitting area, queen bed, bunk bed, and a handcrafted loft twin bed. The kid’s room is so much fun, it will have them reliving Blackbeard's Blockade of Charleston Harbor. The upper level bathroom is just as beautiful as the lower with custom tile work and a Grohe shower system.
6 on 33rd has many other fantastic features which include a Rianni water heater, a sound system and speaker system that plays throughout the home (perfect for a little Jimmy Buffet or Jack Johnson to get the entire family in the beach state of mind), an exterior shower, beautiful landscaping, and a detached garage storage area for your beach bikes and gear.
When you are ready to live a week as an islander, you must consider this terrific seaside escape where you can enjoy the traditional style of the Island, while relaxing with the best amenities the Island has to offer.

Location was great- just a block away from the beach and a few minute drive from Harris Teeter. Beach area close to the house was fantastic. Property was fairly clean, although outside cushions could have used some work. Also, there were droppings or bugs of some sort on the stairs when we arrived. There was a stain on the master bedspread and sheets were ripped in one place. "Handcrafted loft twin bed" turned out to only have a child size mattress on it, so don't take it into consideration when planning for adults! Plenty of bath towels provided. Full sized washer/dryer made it nice to not have to go home with sandy beach towels or a bunch of dirty clothes. Good sized kitchen was updated and well stocked with utensils/cups/plates/cooking equipment. Received a text and email 2 days into the stay to ask if we needed anything. Keypad entry made it easy for our large group to come and go as they pleased. Also, house was available to check in at 2pm (2 hours early). Enormous custom closet off of master bedroom w/playpen. Thought unheated pool wouldn't be an issue in September, but it was quite chilly and we weren't able to enjoy it much.
The advertisement talks the place up a lot more than reality. The air hockey table has broken handles that almost cut me and barely moves the puck. The roof top deck that is talked about has no furniture and wood railing and planks are unsafe, especially for kids. The sound system speakers outside didn't work only in the downstairs areas. Also recommend getting someone over to spray for ants. A ton of ants around pool. Overall we enjoyed the house. It fit our needs and we had a great time.
This was my first attempt at renting a house for a family vacation, and I will gladly do it again!
The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was conveniently located -- just a short stroll to the beach.
The kitchen was totally equipped with all dishes / cookware / glassware, the laundry room was brand new and we used grill on the outside covered porch often.
Our grandchildren loved the "pirate" bedroom!
Honestly, the only two reasons why I'm not giving this house 5 stars is that there wasn't a "user's manual" on site to explain the Wi-Fi password (although someone did stop by and leave a note with the password the following day) and when one family member filled the downstairs bathtub and turned on the water jets, black particles shot out of all the underwater jets. (I assume nobody normally takes baths, but uses the shower only.)
Our family had an amazing stay at this fabulous property! Beach access right across the street was ideal, and having the pool in the backyard was a wonderful addition for us and all the kids! House was roomy and open and very well maintained. Beachside Vacations was wonderful to work with as well, very timely when it came to answering any questions and we received 5-star service! We would definitely stay at this property again and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Isle of Palms/Charleston!
Our family truly enjoyed our time at this house. It was wonderfully appointed and plenty of space for 6-13 (the numbers we had varied from day to day).
Beachside Vacations is a great property manager. From the time of our reservation through arrival, we received emails about our upcoming vacation. I loved the text check in. A few days into our week, we called about how to use the stereo and got a reply within 10 minutes! We had 4 adults and 3 teenagers in the home and it was the perfect size. There are so many spaces to read alone or gather as a family. Our teens liked the pool and lights for night swimming. We'll definitely book our vacation next year with Beachside Vacations.
