Relaxing romantic getaway

A perfect getaway on an absolutely beautiful farm. Great place to unwind and getaway from it all. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well decorated with many interesting treasures from around the world. Coffee and cocktails on the balcony. Couldn't ask for more.

Very Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I were just looking for a night away and our schedules opened up only a few days before the weekend. Jane was more than accommodating on the short notice I gave her. We were just looking for peace and quiet and the ability to wander to a Vineyard and take in some history. This was the perfect place for that. Thank You Jane for allowing us to stay in your home. Next time we will stay longer and take the tour of your farm.

Magical farm stay

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Jane's farm was short but ever so sweet. We arrived late one night in pouring rain - Jane was very helpful and considerate of our late arrival due to weather. When we woke up in the morning, the sun was shining and Jane gave us a wonderful tour of her farm; baby chicks, day old goats, spring flowers and vegetables. We wish we could have stayed longer but we will go back instead! The studio is bright, super clean, comfortable and such lovely views. Jane is a wonderful host and I would recommend staying at her place any time.

Peaceful retreat

Our stay was relaxing which is just what we needed.Despite the rain and then heat, we took several walks around the farm exploring. Beautiful! Very much enjoyed our talks with the owner, Jane.

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Jane's farm. Everything was just as described. The rental is on a working farm, and we loved seeing all the animals (goats, sheep, chickens, horses, donkeys). Jane was kind enough to show us the farm, and we were able to try her fresh produce, eggs, and meats. My husband was in heaven with all the fresh food! The room itself has everything you need, although as noted, there's no internet. Luckily there were lots of brochures, maps, etc. to help us decide what to do each day. Charlottesville is a quick drive, as are numerous wineries and the hiking trails of the Shenandoah National Park. There just wasn't enough time to do it all. Back to the rental, it was just what we needed to relax. It was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, the linens were great, the kitchen has all the necessities, and the air conditioning worked great. Jane was very accommodating and available if we had questions, but she never disturbed us. She was very responsive before and during our stay. We'll gladly return for another stay when possible. One last note, make sure you have a picnic by the river that's on the's one of the most gorgeous and serene places I've been.

Fantastic Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

This was the best weekend we've had in a very long time. The studio was clean, the owners are awesome and incredibly friendly and the setting is unbelievable. It's got everything that you need for a quiet weekend in the mountains. My wife and I went for our 20th anniversary and I imagine that we'll be going back in the very near future.
