Hi, I'm originally from Switzerland and have just fulfilled my dream, to live in the most amazing city on earth. I am a travelling nurse and most of the time out of the house. My hobbies are life long learning, travelling, sports (I run at least one marathon per year), listening to music, looking good movies, rarely cooking, I adore the sea, deserts and the mountains above 4'000 m. I'm jewish, have plenty of energy and can tell you all you want to know about Jerusalem.

The accommodations were great! The host was warm and welcoming, she communicated well before the stay and while i was there. She was able to provide great tips on local transportation and things to do. The apartment was perfectly centrally situated and I was able to access all of the main areas easily. Would definitely recommend!
Perfect Home Base
Having taken multiple tours to Israel, I wanted this trip to be different. I wanted to visit Israel for Sukkot and be in the mix of everything. Choosing Deborah's home was perfect, not only because of location, but Deborah herself was a wealth of information and help. My daughter and I had an amazing time!
Within walking distance is the Israel Museum, the market, the Davidka Square (where you can catch the train, bus or meet tour guides), the Old City, the Mamilla Mall and lots of cafes scattered around the neighborhood. You can catch a taxi just walking out the door and waving one down.
We were able to explore Yad Vashem, the Old City, Masada, En Gedi and the Dead Sea and also booked a private tour to the Galilee region. Well worth it.
Deborah also connected us to locals so we were able to share in a Shabbat meal and spend the evening with both locals and others who were visiting for the feast. Very special time.
If you're wanting five star accommodations this is not for you. If you're looking for an authentic experience close to everything, a comfortable home with everything you need, a hostess who can quickly and easily give you insight, directions and help you have the best time ever - this is your place!
Thanks for everything Deborah! We'll definitely be back...
Modern very comfortable apartment, awesome shower. short walk to Mahane Yehuda market & restaurants
Deborah was a gracious and fantastic host. She directed us around the city center of Jerusalem, and even attended one of our daughter's soccer matches at the Maccabiah Games. She is more than a lessor and host, she became a friend in the 10 days we were there. I highly recommend this property and I will be back my next trip to Jerusalem
This listing has all that is described and much more. The accommodation is one of two bedrooms in the owner occupied apartment. It was like having a live-in concierge. Deborah is very friendly and helpful. She provided both useful published information and personal recommendations. She shows concern that her guests are comfortable. The bedrooms are small but nicely furnished including quality linens. A small snack and bottle of water in the room was a nice touch. The apartment is modern, stylish and very clean. Entry is direct through a private courtyard/terrace. The kitchen and bathrooms have all modern fixtures and appliances. The location is ideal. It is residential (on a main street) and within reasonable walking distance (within 15 minutes) or easy public transit of city center, the old city, the knesset and museum. It is a 10 minute walk to the central bus station. Sachar Park is a few blocks away for jogging, biking, etc., as is Machene Yehudah where one can find all kinds of food and restaurants. Deborah knows a free parking area a 5 minute walk where we were able to leave the car. If you need something or have any questions, don't be shy. Ask. Deborah is a most gracious hostess. In many years of travel and a number of Homeaway bookings this one stands above the rest. It is like staying with family or friends.
Perfekte Gastfreundschaft in Jerusalem
Herzlichen Dank, Deborah!
