Fantastic view but needs updating badly!

  • 3 of 5

The location and view is amazing. Layout is functional and nice. The place needs some extreme TLC. The sliding doors do not shut fully (not level) and are very hard to slide. Would be difficult for an older person to slide them if at all (my mother was not able too). There is not much silverware for eating so you have to wash them every time. Missing light bulbs in multiple fixtures (we robbed one from one fixture to put in the main room ceiling fan light. Door on the refrigerator is missing it's bottom interior bar which makes that door shelf unusable. Sorry for the not so good review but the good news is these items could easily be fixed with a few dollars and some TLC.

Great Condo

  • 5 of 5

The condo was great. Big enough for 6 adults. Love the location right on the beach and close to stores and restaurants. There were some minor cosmetic issues such as ripped shower curtain liner and sliding doors are hard to open and close. Loved the balcony...saw dolphins and great sunsets.

We loved staying at Arena de Madeira! The view and the proximity to the beach was amazing!!

  • 4 of 5

There was plenty of room for the five of us. We were all very comfortable, however the trundle in the single guest room did not work. I loved cooking in the open concept kitchen. My one suggestion would be to get new pots and pans because they were teflon and scratched. At any rate we had a great time! We would definitely return!

We had a fantastic time on our vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The property offered many amenities that made our vacation much more comfortable. The size of the condo was great for the four of us. I'd have to say my favorite spot was the balcony.

I would most definitely stay there again

Nice place nice location

  • 5 of 5

Nice place in a nice location close (walking distance ) to johns pass and restaurants in both directions. Comfortable and good size condo with new granite counters, baths and wonderful flooring, plenty of closet space . Wonderful wrap around balcony that overlooks gulf and sunsets . Dolphins were seen often swimming in the gulf from the balcony. Parking under unit as with most in the area. 7 foot clearance so if you have newer high conversion van you will have to park in guest spots . There are 7 guest spots available. Make sure you place guest pass in window as the building "parking czar" (a board member or official ) is out for blood . The unit parking guest passes were missing so we hand made a note and placed in window with unit number and missing pass explanation. The "parking czar" seemed to be satisfied with that. There was only one night the guest spots were completely full so I doubt it's a issue all that often . We did have guests over one day and one night for dinner . He was staring at us counting heads from his balcony while we enjoyed a day in the beach and pool. Awkward :/

Now working with the actual owner of the unit was simple and everything was provided as stated via email and text . Didn't have to contact for any reason except to inquire about possible rebooking . Only unit issues are the windows and sliding doors .. All were functional but are probably in need of being replaced in the entire building. You can hear some noise because of the windows condition but it didn't bother me at all . I didn't really notice and only one person in my party really mentioned hearing outside traffic at night in the back bedroom . The sliders were a little hard to work but again were functional . Overall they are just a little old and in need of upgrade . Also you have to be careful with main door if you have sliding doors open. It will slam shut if you don't hold it properly which I'm familiar with from experience. This is the case in any beachfront unit on the coast ;) Entire property kept nice and is cleaned a few times a week . Only thing that would be a nice addition is if the complex had a grill. Unit was spotless on arrival so cleaning personal are doing a great job :)
