When I arrived at the hotel the check-in process was smooth and quick (the hotel will request your credit card for hotel incidentals which is approx. $100 per night). The room itself was PERFECT! I must admit I was little disappointed when I saw that the room was right at the elevator but that quickly faded away when I open the door. It was just what I needed for my solo R&R mini vacation. There was a mini kitchen, washer & dyer (it was nice to return home with all clean clothes), eating utensils, glasses, and bowls were provided. The balcony was a nice size that provided an immaculate view of the pool and ocean. The location was convenient to the shops and restaurants on the A1A. The hotel staff was very professional and courteous. I can't wait to book this room again!!

Such a disappointing experience

After booking our rental 7 months in advance and paying in full, we were expecting to enjoy a laid back vacation to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. When we arrived at our hotel, we were told that there was no record of our reservation and in fact, the unit we booked was already occupied with other renters. We were told to go wait in the bar while they worked something out with the owner. After 30 minutes of waiting, we were told that they found us another room similar to the one we rented. It was still a king, ocean view, however there was no washer/dryer or full refrigerator. This was something we specifically looked for in a rental when booking. We never heard one thing from the owner for an explanation of what went wrong or an apology at all. The first day at the hotel was great the first day, we sat by the pool and enjoyed ourselves. The second day we woke up to chainsaws and looked out to the pool only to see them cutting down all the palm trees surrounding the pool area. We were told that the pool would be closed for the next 2 days. We figured that we'd just go to the beach and it wouldn't be too big of a deal. Until we got down on the beach and found out that the chairs would be $50 a day to rent! The chairs are free by the pool, but you have to pay on the beach. We couldn't go in the water on the beach either since it was a red/purple flag day the whole time we were down there. When we finally got back into the pool area a few days later, it was all blocked off and they were putting up scaffolding all day so it was not relaxing at all. Very loud. We were told that our balcony furniture would be removed and we'd no longer have access to our balcony the rest of our stay. So, what's the point of an oceanview?? My view was a bunch of scaffolding the last 2 days we were there. Needless to say, we will NEVER use either Evolve, VRBO, or this Hotel ever again. I recommend you keep researching. There were plenty other beautiful hotels on the beach to choose from.

The photos provided an accurate picture of this studio. The living, bathroom, and kitchenette were accommodating for light meals (e.g. breakfast and lunch) and the washer/dryer was particularly welcome. We would have welcomed a bistro table for eating.

Since the unit overlooks the pool and Market Grill restaurant be prepared for occassional events, e.g. a wedding and/or Saturday night revelers, and more regularly gleeful but loud children playing in the pool.

The service and amenities of the hotel were very good, however, we found the building and parts of the unit we stayed in looking a bit tired -- chipped furniture here and there and walls that could use a fresh coat of paint. We didn't pay top dollar compared to some other available units in the building so I think we got value for what we paid.

Great location for walks on the beach though we recommend a car for trips to Publix or the many very good restaurants on Los Olas.

We'll consider staying here again.

I had to travel to Ft. Lauderdale for work and spent 4 nights and 5 days here. The room was perfect! It overlooks the nice pool/pool restaurant/lounge area and ocean! The hotel itself is just beautiful and I experienced not one problem. The restaurant on the first floor, Beauty and The Feast, was also very good. There are several other nice restaurants and bars within walking distance. The spa was fantastic, just one floor below. I feel lucky to have found this gem.
