Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a great time staying here at our own private hideaway. The generous deck with views of Flathead Lake was our favorite feature. The colorful flower baskets made it even more inviting… We also enjoyed the whimsical decoration and big screen tv… We would love to come back sometime soon…

Peaceful and secluded getaway overlooking Flathead Lake

  • 5 of 5

This is an awesome place to stay if you are looking for privacy and relaxation. Very peaceful and serene. The view from the double deck overlooking Flathead Lake and the mountains is especially nice. The outdoor space is terrific. We enjoyed the use of a barbeque grill. The flowers and bear planters are a nice touch. It was a treat to sit and watch the hummingbirds go from flower to flower. While going for walks we would see some deer in the area also. Inside is just as nice as the outside. We had everything we needed and more, including a full kitchen and even a washer & dryer. The huge walk-in shower is great. The air conditioner came in handy on some very hot days! The free Wi-Fi was also appreciated. We enjoyed the whimsical homey touches. My wife and I spent a week here in July while exploring Glacier National Park and the surrounding area. The location is perfect to come home to and getaway from the crowds. Dan's directions and check-in instructions were very thorough. The info packet he provided was also helpful with getting us acclimated . We would definitely stay here again!

This is a very nice place! Well located with great views of Flathead Lake. Sunrises are

spectacular. Well kept, well equipped, and fun decor. And a gated deck to keep the dogs safe.

Montana Hideaway

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the most enjoyable and relaxing vacations my husband and I have ever experienced. We brought our two dogs and they both loved the location. One of our dogs took up deer watching as his vacation activity. Fabulous! The rental "Hideaway" was perfect! Further, we have already booked to return next year.

The rental is fully equipped. Anything you could want or need to feel at home is there. The décor is charming and comfortable. It is spotless clean and tidy. The view is amazing. It is peaceful!

Dan has paid attention to every detail. It is clear that he cares very much about the property and the experience of his guests. I guess I could go on and on, but I hope anyone reading this gets the idea by now; it was wonderful.

If you have never treated yourself to a visit to this part of our country, do so. If you want to make it an amazing visit, book this property. I can't say enough about it.

Wonderful experience In Flathead!!

  • 5 of 5

Highly recommend!!! We (my nine year old daughter and two dogs) stayed here the entire month of July and the experience exceeded my expectations. The Hideaway is delightfully appointed with everything you could possibly need for a long or short term stay. I have to admit the bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on! We spent most of the day outside enjoying the lake and nearby areas like Whitefish and Glacier and many evenings on the lovely deck. Lakeside is a few minutes away and has all the water rentals like boats and paddleboards you need. The Tamarack Grill / Brewery is awesome, too. Dan was always available to answer my questions. Also - I made more friends in one month in Montana than in five years in Seattle. The people, especially Dan's neighbors, are so nice! I can't wait to return next summer!!!
