This quaint and charming home is centrally located ,in the heart of downtown Eugene, Oregon. It is only a brisk walk from the eclectic Whitaker / Blair Boulevard neighborhood with its many ethnic restaurants and grocers, gourmet dining establishments and great music venues. One of Eugene's best bakeries is only a few steps away! Deliscious! The Pizza Research Institute and Papa's Soul Food Kitchen are extraordinary and Sam Bond's Garage is a popular music venue for local, and not so local, artists. Just down the way a bit is the Hult Center where touring companies bring theatre and music to Eugene and where the notable Eugene Symphony, the Mozart Players and the Bach Festival perform to the delight of local and international audiences. Setting: The Madison Guest House greets the visitor with an inviting country garden displaying a variety of seasonal flowers and shrubs that soften the urban landscape and lend a tranquil air to the cottage. Tucked behind a cedar enclosure you will find a quiet oasis with space for relaxing, reading or meditating as well as for casual dining...

Beer: Micro brews are another part of the culture and economy of the area that has seen steady growth in popularity. Home brewing is also well supported in the region and worth investigating. Several establishments in Eugene specialize in local brews and offer tastings periodically.. Some of these are within walking distance of this property..

Throughout Oregon wine has become a prominent part of the culture as well as the economy. Within Eugene and the Willamette Valley are some of the best wines produced domestically. Wine tasting tours , barrel tours, are offered at various times during the season. Tasting rooms are located throughout Eugene and are easily accessible by foot, pedal, bus or car.Micro brews are another part of the culture and economy of the area that has seen steady growth in popularity. Another lovely stay!

  • 5 of 5

We just love staying at the Madison Guest house when we are in the Eugene area. The lay out is perfect for families and the house is extremely well equipped. Carolyn is always great to work with. Took a walk down to the river front this time(10 min walk) and passed a tasting room, brew pub and distillery on the way. Looking forward to trying them out next time!

Great experience. Comfortable. Can walk downtown and to many restaurants.

  • 5 of 5

Best vacation rental we have had in Eugene. Very comfortable. Nice kitchen. Family friendly. Carolyn was great to work with. If you like restaurants or food in general, fantastic location. Can walk 1-15 minutes to many restaurants, incredible bakery, food shopping and 5 beer gardens/breweries. Downtown and Saturday market too. Longer to U of O. We have other vacation rentals in Eugene. This is the best!

This place is a gem! This was the third time I've stayed here and definitely won't be the last. The location is awesome as it is within walking distance of the best of downtown.

Cozy house in downtown Eugene

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at this cozy home in Eugene. It almost felt like coming home. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, and everything needed - from the towels, linens, miscellaneous bath supplies - to Keurig k-cups in the kitchen and ice in the freezer. Conveniences of wifi and cable tv as well as washer / dryer on site a plus as well. We enjoyed our stay here and many meals around the table as well as games and a puzzle (there as well) with family. Nothing fancy - just old fashioned charm and coziness. Carolyn (owner) is a joy to work with as well - although there was no need to contact her after our arrival as everything was perfect. Great cozy home in Downtown Eugene. Thanks.

Charming and great location

  • 5 of 5

We came to Eugene for a family wedding. This location couldn't have been more perfect for us! The house is comfortable, charming and eclectic!

There was a storm our second night and the power was out for 12 hours.

Luckily there were plenty of candle holders in the house for the candles we bought to have some light! If our travels take us to Eugene again, we'll be back to the Madison House!!

Thank you, Carolyn, for sharing your beautiful little home. My family and I felt so cozy and comfortable. You thought of everything anyone could possibly need and then some. We really enjoyed being able to walk to the fish market as well as the bakery. The house was spotless.

Thanks again. We hope to return soon.
