The beautiful pool Villa Vravrona Tower is situated in the east suburbs of Athens, 35 kilometers from the center of the city. This rural area of Attica, Vravrona, is surrounded by fertile fields and resembles Italy's Tuscany. Its 10 minutes drive from Athens airport (Venizelos) and the metro subway.
The villa has a big garden and a swimming pool. The surface of house is 250 sq. meters, divided in three floors. In the lower floor there is a spacious master bedroom, with bathroom, one bedroom with a double bed, a children's room with two twin beds, and an extra bathroom. In the middle floor, which has a beautiful view to the pool and the vineyards of the area, there is large living room, a dining room, the kitchen (fully equipped with oven, microwave, fridge) and a VC. Also, there is a small room with another single bed.
Up in the attic, another cosy bedroom welcomes you (with sofa double bed) and an extra single bed. This is ideal for 3 member family, or close friends.
Included an free of charge: TV set in every bedroom, air-condition, towels, sheets, products for breakfast.
The garden is exquisite and very big, two acres long. It is shared with the residence of my family. Actually, there is a common main entrance and a common garden for both houses but there is a long distance between them, so you can enjoy your own privacy.
The small town of Markopoulo, is almost 5 minutes by car from the villa. There, you can find banks, supermarkets, shops and buses that go to Athens. The wider area is called Artemida and it is the archaeological region dedicated to the goddess Artemis (Diana). In 10 minutes (by car) distance you can visit the museum with ancient findings and you can find isolated sandy beaches. Also, the beautiful beaches of Porto Rafti, the night clubs and restaurants over the sea, are about 15 minutes by car from the house. If interested in visiting the beautiful Greek islands the ports of Lavrio or Rafina are almost 35 minutes away by car. Through the national highway 'Attiki Odos' you can reach the city of Athens in 30 minures drive. If you prefer the subway, you will drive for 15 minutes till Koropi station where you can park your car and take the metro.
Together with my family we have chosen to live 30 kilometers from Athens in order to minimize city stress. Wre love the agricultural region of Markopoulo and Vravrona where cultivated fields provide us with products sucha as grapes, wine and vegetables. I am always happy to guide you and suggest the places you should visit.
-Near to Athens International airport
-Near to the sandy beaches of Porto Rafti
-Near to Athens
-Near to Helexpo exhibition center
We suggest to chose this property for your holiday since it is a 'idyllic refuge' only 30 minutes away from Athens city center. The natural area is protected by law as 'Natura' and the ancient stream Erasinos flows near the villa. Many birds create their nests near the villa.
The natural surroundings in one the unique benefits of the villa. It is situated in the wine fields of Vravrona, near the ancient temple of Artemis. From the dining room we enjoy the view of a venetian castle. Sandy beaches are in 10 minutes drive from the house! Also, If you want to go to Athens, the metro station is also 15 minutes drive from the villa. Shops, restaurants and bars you can find in both Markopoulo and Porto Rafti.
This villa on the outskirts of Athens is perfect for groups or families. We were two families with a total of four children, and everything was perfect! The owner lives on the property (in a different house) and is there to help with every question, including ordering you food or requesting a taxi! The sitting area by the pool is where we spent most of our time, listening to music, sipping wine and watching our children play by the pool and in the nicely landscaped yard! I highly recommend this property :)
This is a lovely property and we had one of our most relaxing holidays here. The hospitality shown by Maria and her family was second to none, not only ahead of our visit but also during our stay. The pool area deserves special mention with the outdoor dining area used every day, offering shade and comfort. The villa is in a great location and it was particularly easy to drive into Athens which we did a couple of times to see the sights (recommend Smile restaurant near the Acropolis museum). Markopolou and Porto Rafti are close by and are great for evening drinks. No concerns about the airport - conveniently close and really not noticeable. Don't forget to visit the Temple of Artemis; a real gem and only 10 minutes away. We are a family of 5, but had plenty of space with the facilities catering for all needs. Our thanks once more to Maria and we would love to return to Greece again in the not too distant future.
Extremely satisfied with the accommodation and facilities. Villa was perfect for young family with baby. Pool side was brilliant, spacious with plenty of outdoor space to lounge and enjoy bbqs and meals outside. Rooms were modern, clean and comfy. Kitchen facilities plentiful. Overall very happy with stay and owner was extremely helpful with recommendations.
Local amenities Supermarket/shops are 5-10mins away by car however essentials were kindly provided by owner upon arrival.
Would definitely go back again with the family!
We arrived at night to the achingly romantic setting of a floodlit pathway & illuminated pool. In the Villa no extravagance is overlooked. Each room is lavishly furnished & the facilities are top of the range. Water coolers are inside the villa & outside by the pool. I connected my iPod to the stereo player outside & played some of my favourite albums whilst swimming. Blissful! The pool is as spacious & inviting as the pictures suggest. Each morning we were overwhelmed with the breathtaking views of valleys, mountains & the mystical Tower. There is so much to enjoy in the vicinity. We chose not to drive & were concerned that this may restrict us but the villa is so well located close to the airport, Athens & the surrounding beaches that everything was within easy reach by taxi & the cost is relatively inexpensive. The noise from planes is infrequent & minimal so does not disrupt the tranquillity whatsoever. Markopoulo is nearby for shopping trips, as are the gorgeous beaches & romantic tavernas in Porto Rafti to enjoy freshly prepared local cuisine outside right by the sea. Fiki Fiki & Karavidas are favourites. Koropi metro station is a short taxi ride away & the brief train journey to Athens costs merely a few Euros. Alternatively it is not overly expensive to take a taxi directly to Athens for a more relaxed journey. Don’t to miss the museum when you visit the Acropolis & experience the Temple of Hephaestus in the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Olympian Zeus & Hadrian’s Library. The traditional shops & tavernas in the Plaka are enchanting. The Old Tavern of Psaras is recommended. However, the most memorable adventure was the drive to the enthralling Temple of Poseidon at Sounion, an ancient white marble monument that stands against the magnificent backdrop of the sea and hills. Most important of all were our sincere, witty, intelligent and welcoming hosts, who had the perfect balance of always being at our beck & call whilst respecting our privacy. Maria was so generous with her time & offered invaluable advice on what to visit & how to travel. Nothing was too much trouble. We were treated to an authentic Greek experience for a glorious day in the company of her family. We have genuinely made true friends. Maria, Dino, Harry, Johnny & of course Zeus the dog we hope to see you all again more than you could ever know! Thank you for such a memorable & outstanding life experience!
The villa is really beautiful with all equipment you need, nothing is missing.... Maria is just so nice and very welcoming! We thank her again for everything.
Renting Villa Vavrona is for sure having a very good holiday!
