Charming sunny 2 bedroom Berkeley Craftsman on a tree lined street. You will have the entire house for yourself (no sharing).
Living room has hardwood floors, a large picture window, fireplace, and built-in cabinets. Kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel fridge, new gas stove and a cozy kitchen table where you can relax and sip your coffee or wine. There is a laundry room in the basement. The bedrooms are furnished with 2 queen size beds with very comfortable mattresses. Also featuring a twin size sofa in the living room to provide more than enough sleeping space for 4 people. We will offer linens/bedding for sofa upon request. The house is decorated with comfort and quality in mind, with all linens/towels and basics for your stay.
Located in the heart of one of the nicest streets in central Berkeley, very close to the new Berkeley Bowl West, Paisan, Claypot, Café Trieste and Mo Joe Coffee, 900 Grayson, and Gaumenkitzel German restaurant. There are fabulous parks and hiking/biking areas within walking distance, and the express bus to San Francisco picks up 1 block from the house and will take you to the heart of the San Francisco in 30 minutes. The Ashby BART station (metro/subway) or North BART station is a 15 minute walk from the house and will also take you into San Francisco in 30 minutes. The house is within 1.8 miles of the UC Berkeley campus, making it convenient for visiting family and friends or attending local events. This is a great location for sightseeing all around the Bay Area, Napa Valley, and Sonoma wine country.
Enjoy this tree-lined neighborhood, warm/friendly neighbors, fine dining and easy freeway and BART access.

Norm & Oksana purchased this house in 2012
Could not have been nicer!!! Great quiet neighborhood, very comfortable quarters and Norman and Oksana, we are grateful for your taking us to the Berkeley Bowl, over and above the call of duty! thank you for your hospitality.
Our party of five spent four nights in this great house in a quiet neighbourhood in Berkeley. We found it very comfortable & well equipped for our stay. The owners, Norm & Oksana, very kindly left us a few provisions in the fridge for our arrival, which was much appreciated. We had a hired car to get around but did use the Bart one day to get into the city as parking is a nightmare there! Norm & Oksana were great to deal with & very prompt at replying to emails & also gave us a recommendation for a restaurant for the next place on our trip. Would definitely recommend this property.
This house was just fantastic. It had everything. We used the kitchen to make breakfast in the morning and
sat out in the backyard for lunch. The owners (live right behind the property) are very friendly and helpful giving us
tips on how to go into San Francisco and what area restuarants are good to eat at. The neighbourhood is extremely
quiet. The location is just 20 minutes from San Francisco and and hour from Napa Valley. We hope recommend this
place to any future renters. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
For the property owners, Norm and Oksana, I would rate this property 5 stars. They are wonderfully responsive and I would highly recommend them. We had one issue with the pull out couch, it was really not comfortable, and they immediately refunded a portion of our fee and thanked us for letting them know so they could remedy the problem. I was really impressed with that. The property itself is in a modest neighborhood about a 10 minute drive to the happening parts of Berkeley so be prepared to drive. It's not really walkable unless you have lots of time. But it was super quiet and we had no problems whatsoever. Also, if you plan to take lots of trips into the city of San Francisco it's a half hour drive over the bridge. I'm not a huge fan of the city itself, not sure I'd actually want to stay in a hotel downtown, but it's something to think about if you don't want to drive a lot. The master bedroom is comfortable with plenty of dresser and closet space. The upstairs bedroom also has a comfy bed, but not so much space to put stuff. The front room of the house is where the pullout couch is and frankly it was not an ideal place for someone to sleep as it's right on the street. The house is best suited as a two bedroom to accommodate four. The kitchen is passable but not amazing and though there is a washer and dryer in the basement we didn't use it. Overall the house gets the job done and there are plenty of nice little touches, but was it the most beautiful house I've ever stayed in in the most beautiful neighborhood I've ever stayed in? No. For the price did it get the job done? Absolutely.
My overall experience was wonderful it was our first time going through HomeAway, and it had every necessity we need it and we would love to do this again.
Very cute home with all the necessary items you need to be able to relax and enjoy. We shared this home with our friends who had a son graduating from Berkeley. It was a great being so close to campus. We could park in the driveway which was an added bonus. We really enjoyed this home.
With frequent travel to the east bay area this was a welcome change to staying at hotels. It was comfy and met all our needs. With the rainy days we had when we were there - it was nice to come back to a warm house and relax. The owners were great at communication. We used Uber several times but could have walked more if it hadn't been pouring down rain. We would stay here again!
