Woodstock Barn Rental Photos and Description

The Woodstock Field Studio

The Field Studio is in a very convenient private place. Off Route 375 at the end of Hasbrouck Lane is the studio driveway that goes along a large field. As you go down the field driveway you will see a very unique building surrounded by over 65 acres, the studio property is 7 acres. The land is so special because of its location, so private yet very close to town, you can get the newspaper in 3 minutes. The forest is all around, and the beautiful field is where there might appear deer, turkeys, geese, fox and other wild animals. There is a hammock hung between two trees, a table with umbrella and chairs to hang out on close by in the field. You will see an unobstructed view of the mountains and sky. Also you might see geese taking off over your head as they assemble in a nearby pond.

There is parking in front of the Studio. The building is nature-inspired with two large windows creating the entire front of the building. It is completely insulated with an interior color scheme of light brown that works with the original wood and beamed ceiling. Once you are inside, the huge windows facing the field allows one to feel so connected to the outdoors and yet protected in the pleasant cozy indoor space. The studio is one large space with pine floors. The two unique vintage heavy doors were found in a Massachusetts flea market. One door is square with square glass inset and the other arched with a triangle glass inset. The original barn wood room has a charm all its own that will give you a warm, comfortable, uncomplicated living space. There’s lots of lighting fixtures but the great large hanging iron chandelier is especially effective. A 4 post queen bed with night stands over by the side window give graciousness and distinction. There is a coffee table and couch where you can relax, look out the windows, have a glass of wine or watch a movie. The studio has a flat screen, Apple TV, WI-FI, Bluetooth for your tunes, and Netflix. All you need for access to the outside world.

Behind the couch is an iron marble top table with 4 different coffee makers and an espresso press. The free standing butcher block is there to help with preparing food. An antique bakery shelf holds dishes, pans, a toaster oven and a microwave. There is 4 burner oven stove for cooking and a large refrigerator that fits nicely in the kitchen area. Adding to your cooking possibilities, there is a grill outside for use in the summer.

Across from the kitchen is a large French easel, an asset if you want to bring drawing pads or do some painting. Up against one large window is a country table and chairs with a long bench. One is always aware of nature whether you are using the table for something or having breakfast while looking out the windows. There is always a reminder of the larger outside world.

Remaining in the Studio is the vintage barn-wood enclosed bathroom with an interesting hanging night light. It has a large antique sink, a bathtub and shower, clean colorful towels that are folded on a barn wood shelf overhead for you.

As you can see from the pictures, The Woodstock Field Studio is all about fun stuff. Nothing is better than ever minute having a good time and worry-free.

What makes this barn unique

Close to town, very private, big windows, lots of nature, You will see turkeys , dear, geese, that you can see from the Studio living room.

Wonderfully rustic hideaway to unplug, unwind and recharge!

  • 4 of 5

Our stay was wonderful and we highly recommend this property. The studio is exactly as described and was everything we were looking for to get away and unwind. A wonderfully rustic place that is close enough to town, yet off a quiet road where you won't be bothered. While it may not have everything you would have in your own home, it has everything you need to be comfortable. A few notable amenities: The huge windows face a beautiful green meadow and were perfect for watching the world go by on a rainy day we had. Also, the bed was very comfortable which is always a pleasant surprise when you travel to other places. A great nights rest and waking up to a window full of nature makes for a great getaway!

The reason we gave four stars is there was some miscommunication regarding our arrival. There was some difficulties getting in and the property was not ready when we arrived. However, the property manager stayed in contact with us until everything was resolved. Mistakes occasionally happen and it did not affect our overall stay. In fact, the manager went beyond our expectations to make things right and we would happily stay again and recommend the property to friends.

Comfortable and Warm

  • 5 of 5

When we drove in , my dogs and myself , the house was just as in the ad. The view from the windows was beautiful !

The weather wasn't the best , chilly and wet . The heat was wonderful and cozy . Made a cup of coffee and got comfortable .

The house was convenient to everything, yet off the beaten track .

The perfect midweek vacation.

Thanks, Eve

Stylish, Comfortable Studio With Cabin-Like Charm and Privacy

  • 4 of 5

I really enjoyed our weekend in the Field Studio. The studio is down a long street with a few other houses, but it is at the end, so from the studio you can't really see any other homes. There is a big field out front to play with the dog, as well as woods behind to explore. The decor is charming - rustic and also a bit retro (in a good way). It's not quite a cabin (no fireplace and it is all one big room), but it still has a cabin like feel. I was impressed that the studio stayed nice and warm even though it was (literally) -7 degrees out at night. It was a very cold weekend so I was grateful for the netflix and fast wifi, since hiking wasn't really an option. The photos are very accurate.

Beautiful setting, surrounded by nature

  • 5 of 5

The Field House is a perfect retreat into nature that is also so close to the town of Woodstock. We woke up each day with wild animals peacefully moving about the meadows - deer, geese and turkeys. The huge window overlooking the yard make you feel a part of the outdoors and inside the house has everything you need to feel cozy and content. We had a lovely stay!

No A/C- Infested with ants-No Refund

  • 1 of 5

Had a terrible experience at this property. A/C didn't work and temps were in the 90's. The place was infested with large black ants! Called managers and first manager said she was aware of the problem but never sent a repairman. 2nd manager never came by but referred me back to the first when I called him. Spent the day and night mopping up water and sweating. We had to cancel the 2nd nite because of the situation and were never refunded that fee! Worst VRBO experience in 12 years!!!!!

Owner's Response: I had talked to this guest on the evening of check in when he said the AC wasn't working. I said I would be there the next morning to have it fixed or replaced and he had said ok. I was there the next morning early and he had left. I look at the AC unit and guest had changed it from AC to dehumidifier the unit works well and did not need to be fixed. I saw a little water on the floor but and sponged it up. As for ants, this is the country there might be an ant or two but I didn't see one that morning.
