Lovin' Life: Brand New Beach House With Private Pool

Property type house
Minimum Stay 4 - 7 nights

Overview

About the property

3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

This beautiful new house was just completed in August, 2013. It sits atop 35-foot-high dune above an ocean beach and enjoys 50-mile, 180-degree ocean views. The saltwater pool beside the house shares these same spectacular views.

A 100-yard (one-minute) walk north on our quiet sand road takes you to a beautiful and completely secluded cove/beach on the ocean. A mile further north is the magnificent Sky Beach resort with an excellent restaurant, beachfront infinity pool, and swim up bar. South of the house is the famous Twin Coves Beach, which has some of the best snorkeling on the island.

Inside, Lovin' Life has three bedrooms. It features a split plan with master bedroom suite (king size bed), and two guest bedrooms – one with a queen bed with TV, and one with twin beds that can be combined to make a king. All bedrooms are air conditioned. There are two pack & play cribs available.

Lovin’ Life’s dune-top pool is 12’ x 24’ with a maximum depth of 5’. It has a salt sanitized system. You will enjoy the feel and notice the absence of chlorine. There is a lovely patio deck around the pool and a Pergola with a grill (both propane and charcoal).

The outdoor shower overlooks the ocean and there is a rinse off at the bottom of the stairs leading up to the house when coming from the beach.

Lounge on our hammocks on the front porch where you can enjoy the 50-mile view of the ocean and the sound of the waves. There are also patio loungers and chairs on the deck.

WIFI, Beach chairs, beach towels, sand buckets & shovels, floats (pool/ocean), boogie board, hair dryers, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer and stove are in the house. Direct TV in the living room and one guest bedroom, DVD player and video library, books, board games, binoculars and playing cards, coolers, snorkel gear, fishing poles and more are there for your use.

Housekeeping is provided before check in/out and midweek for stays of 6 days or more. The housekeeper will be happy to assist with personal laundry service if needed. All bath towels, linens, pillows, etc are provided.

A Bahamian cell phone is made available for you during your stay. You can use it to call locally or even out of the country and you can receive calls from in or outside of the Bahamas. This phone also works as a mobile hotspot and provides the house's WIFI. We start you off with a balance of $10.00. You can add additional funds at the store if needed for more phone calls or WIFI download capacity. The WIFI is for email and websites, not for large files like streaming video. Don’t forget to leave the phone when you check out.

If you need to download big files, the beautifully restored 100 year old Haynes Library offers broadband (cable) WiFI for a small fee that helps support their programs and is an interesting place to hang out.

The kitchen is fully equipped. We start you off with bottled water, paper towels, soap, toilet paper and bag of ice. There are usually coffee filters, sugar, tea, coffee, etc based on what the last guest left. No perishable food items are left after check out.

Rental cars are available for this house from Big T car rentals.

Lovin Life has a next door neighbor to the south, but there are no other houses for a quarter mile on this quiet and secluded sand road. You’ll be Lovin' Life when you stay here!

Beautiful property, great location

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time during our first trip to Eleuthera. We weren't sure what to expect, but the people at Eleuthera Vacation Rentals (Kristin, Matt and Tara) were very helpful. They answered all of our questions, sent us information about the island, such as how to get there and what to do there. They even recommended a great travel agent who helped us book flights and arrange a stay in Nassau. We were so glad that we chose to spend most of our Bahamas vacation in Eleuthera. We loved the quiet, yet adventurous nature of the island. Everyone on the island was so friendly and welcoming. We went to a different beach each day and were never disappointed. We even saw a dolphin at Skye Beach. Other favorites were Twin Cove, Ten Bay and the old Club Med/French Leave beaches. The restaurants on the island were amazing - it was hard to fit in all our top picks before we had to leave. Our favorites were 1648, The Bistro/Sammy's at Skye Beach, Pascal's, Tippy's and Wild Orchid (Rock Sound). The Lovin' Life property was perfect for our family of 4. Lots of space, fully stocked with what we needed, clean and very comfortable. We all loved the pool. It was a great way to end the day or spend a whole afternoon. Lots of fun pool toys and beautiful views of the ocean. Lenny (the caretaker) was very friendly and helpful. He brought over boogie boards for us to use and our kids loved riding the waves at the beach. The location was ideal, right in the middle of the island and close to Governor's Harbor. We could easily go to the south end or the north end of the island for a day trip. We were also so close to many restaurants and great beaches. We really enjoyed the local fish fry on Friday night in Governor's Harbor.

We look forward to our next trip to Eleuthera and Lovin' Life!

Beautiful quant home with pool and awesome views

  • 5 of 5

The property was beautiful and private with exceptional reviews. There was six of us in our group and plenty of room and privacy for all. The house was well stocked and provided everything we needed for our stay. We've been to Eleuthera several times and would consider staying at Lovin Life again if we ever go back.

Perfection!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Lovin' Life for a Valentine's Day getaway and it was the most peaceful, perfect vacation! The pool and views are amazing, Lenny (the caretaker) is so friendly and helpful, bed was comfy, and the home had PLENTY of room! The home is in a great location, because you're close to many great beaches, grocery stores, town, and great restaurants. Our favorite restaurant happened to be Tippy's (which was a short drive) and we loved Sammy's at Sky Beach Club! Sammy's is down the road from Lovin' Life and has a heated pool and hot tub and was a great spot for lunch. The house really is perfection! It had everything we needed and more! Don't hesitate to book this home if you're looking for an Eleuthera vacation spot!!

"Relaxing, Secluded, Paradise"

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four spent 8 nights at Lovin' Life through the Christmas/New Year's holiday. Everything was just as advertised. The view can't really be described adequately with words or pictures...you just have to be there. The lulling sound of the Atlantic waves is the only thing you hear while staying there. The house is very secluded but close enough to restaurants, bars, and beautiful beaches (some of these, virtually deserted). Many days we were the only ones on the beaches we discovered. Our favorite beaches were: Skye Beach, Twin Coves, and Ten Bay. Skye Beach Club has a great outside swim-up bar/infinity pool with one of the best bartenders on the island (Sammy) and is only a short mile or so from the property. Another great restaurant that we frequented (6 or 7 times) was 1648. This place has exceptionally beautiful views, delicious pina coladas, and stunning sunsets. We became quick friends with Torez at 1648 who is an asset to their property!

Lenny, the caretaker of the house, was extremely helpful with everything during our stay. He even volunteered to stock the house with some essentials before our arrival when we asked about shopping. The residents of Eleuthera are some of the friendliest, warmest people we have ever encountered on a Caribbean vacation. The island is just the perfect place for an "unplug, get away from it all" trip. Lovin' Life was a great home base for all of our daily trips around the island. However, if you want to just stay at the house and enjoy the pool, lounge chairs, and hammocks, you can do that too. The house is well equipped, but would only suggest a nice speaker system for the pool area. Kristin Tonrow with Eleuthera Vacations was also extremely helpful with all of our questions regarding the property and the island. All in all, Lovin' Life was a great choice for us on Eleuthera. We would recommend this property, but you must be a fairly adventurous type.

Paradise found

  • 5 of 5

Lovin Life will not disappoint you. It's rare to find a private pool in an Eleuthera rental that's affordable and beachfront. Meant for the traveler rather than the tourist it's an adventure getting to the house thru a jungle road of about a mile but that makes it more fun. Well built and comfortable the house is well suited to 2 or 3 couples or a family with several kids. The house overlooks the ocean but your private beach is about 250 steps down the jungle road. It's convenient to town and the airport just remember to stay on the right side of the road which is actually the left! That takes a little getting used to.

Great Location and Beautiful Pool

  • 5 of 5

The house was perfect for our group of 6. There was plenty of room for all, with a king bedroom, a queen bedroom, and two singles in the third bedroom that could be put together to make a king. The caretaker, Lenny, was very helpful and provided us with snorkeling gear. We loved the salt water pool and listening to the waves. The property is just as described. If you walk about 100 yards on a dirt road, you get to a path to your own private beach. We also enjoyed walking farther down the road to Sky Beach Club for drinks and food. To get to Sky Beach Club, you can drive or walk- it's about 3/4 mile. Part of the walk will be on the dirt road, and part of it on a beautiful sandy beach. Heading the opposite way you can go about the same distance to Twin Coves. The snorkeling there was great! Be sure to go at low tide. Lenny also showed us a place across the island on the Caribbean side where we could snorkel if it was too windy on the Atlantic side. The weather was unseasonably cold for the island, but we still swam or snorkeled every day. It was also really windy several days, but that made for some good wave watching. The kitchen had everything we needed- coffee maker, blender, etc. The bed we slept in was comfy and it was great to have a screen door from our bedroom to the pool. I really like the area around Governor's Harbor. The people are very friendly, and you're in the middle of the island so you can explore both north (Harbor Island and Spanish Wells) and south (Cape Eleuthera and Lighthouse Beach). Or you can just relax in this lovely home.
