Find sun, fun and tranquility at this cozy cabin on 30 pine-covered acres, just minutes N. of Davenport. A great family get-away or perfect romantic rendezvous featuring lush landscaping with a fenced-in yard and large Play Toy for the kids (adult can swing, too). Majestic views out every window and breath-taking sunsets make it a rare retreat. Hike among the deer, then soak in the luxurious jetted tub. Lounge and bar-b-que on the wrap-around deck, or launch your boat at nearby Ft. Spokane State Park, which also offers a picnic/swim area for the kids. Marinas provide boat/personal watercraft rentals. Explore waterfalls and rock formations along the clear rivers. Catch your fish limit, or catch air wake-boarding/tubing. Visit the quaint nearby towns for antiquing, festivals, parades and local music. Free live concerts at the local casino each Saturday in July and August. Take in the theme water park near Coeur d'Alene (ID), hit the Vegas-style Northern Quest Casino or simply grab a chair back at the cabin and star-gaze.
"I am pretty selective (translated: picky) when it comes to choosing a vacation rental and looked at pretty much every listing in Eastern Washington before choosing Paradise Pines. My research paid off! This place is a true gem. The cabin was sparkling clean upon arrival and beautifully furnished. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped with most everything you need to prepare meals (pots, pans, dishes, etc.). The beds are super comfortable and there are enough pillows to go around. The tub in the upstairs bathroom is divine. Our favorite part of this house was the deck. The view is incredible! There is plenty of high-quality deck furniture, where we did a lot of lounging. We enjoyed a spectacular view of the Saturday fireworks display. The lawn is lush, soft and beautifully landscaped. The adirondack-style swing is perfect for taking in the sunsets (gorgeous!) Our kids LOVED the pool, which was clean and easy to maintain (owner provided instructions and supplies). There were deer on the property every morning and evening. There are many recreational activities in the surrounding Lake Roosevelt area. We hiked, fished, swam, took scenic drives, and rented a pontoon boat from nearby Seven Bays Marina. Silverwood Theme Park is a 2-hour drive and we enjoyed a fun day at the water park there. This cabin is an incredible vacation spot and terrific value.
Sandy was positively the best property manager I've worked with. We traded several emails leading up to our trip; she patiently answered all of my questions and her replies were prompt. On our departure day, the battery in our car was dead. Sandy called a neighbor to come give us a jump start. She emailed me the next day to make sure we made it home safe. In the end, we felt like we had rented the cabin from a friend. Hope to be back next summer!"
This Lake Roosevelt cabin is a perfect choice to get away and enjoy the beauty of Eastern Washington. The views are great and the sunsets are stunning! It is fun to watch the morning and evening "visitors" of deer, turkeys and all the different varieties of birds. The close access to the Fort Spokane boat launch is an added bonus. The cabin is well equipped with most everything you need. Love the downstairs shower! This was our second year at the cabin and we highly recommend the property. Great owners too!
We've stayed at a lot of rentals over the years and I would rate this one in the top 3 for sure. Very clean and well equipped with modern appliances. Jetted tub is definitely a nice bonus! Unbelievable view of the river that includes a beautiful view of the sun setting right off the deck. We saw deer casually walking by every evening and on one particular day, a group of turkeys. Hummingbirds were a regular sight at the edge of the deck, likely due to what I assume were strategically planted flowers they obviously love. Just a few miles from the Fort Spokane boat launch that we used twice a day to go out and catch abundant numbers of walleye and bass (very nice fish cleaning station at the launch). We didn't target trout but managed to catch a couple nice ones just by accident. If dining out is important part of your experience, you'l be hard pressed to find anything around here, or at least we were (Davenport has a couple of places, 22 miles away, but nothing fancy). Didn't really matter though as it wasn't a priority, just something we like to do on occasion. Owners were excellent to work with and were always quick to respond with our many questions prior to arrival. The housekeeper was actively involved in getting us settled in and very nice. I highly recommend this home, you won't be disappointed.
Beautiful place. My daughter loved playing in the yard and nothing compares to those sunsets. The perfect location, close to everything. We will be back! The owners are always available if you need them. Thank you!
Our fifth year in a row returning to this amazing cabin for our family trip to the lake in August! Sandy and Jill are amazing to work with - and it feels like coming home more each time! The cabin is so beautifully furnished inside and out and includes all the necessities to keep things simple and relaxing! I continue to recommend this to family and friends and we will return again next year. Thanks again for your hospitality!
My wife and I went here for 2 nights for our anniversary. We kept saying to ourselves:
"We struck gold."
"How did we find this place?"
"We've GOT to come back here, alone, and with family."
"How does it only cost this much?!"
The location is fantastic: beautiful summertime and NO ONE around. Gotta love that.
The amenities really are top-notch. TV in each room, awesome jetted tub. Really comfy couch.
Had some trouble with the water but the owner was very responsive and helpful.
A lot of wildlife outside. Some wild turkeys got stuck in the fenced-off yard and so I had to urge them out, which was pretty fun.
Plenty of parks/sights (Fort Spokane, Grand Coulee Dam)/beaches not too far away.
Definitely coming back. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
It's as good as the pictures make it look - even better, really.
I see I didn't post a review last year - but 2012 was perfect just like 2013! There is more fun stuff at the cabin every year! My son loved the basketball court this year! Lots of boating from the Fort Spokane launch and one day we ventured north to the Hunters launch and ice cream at Daisy! The owners are wonderful to work with and the property is well maintained and a perfect home base!
Concerts each Saturday in July at the Two Rivers Casino and several community events throughout the area all summer long. Grand Coulee Dam is just short drive and the kids will love the laser show! We’re only about 90 minutes from the Silverwood Theme Park just over the boarder in Idaho. The waterslide there is the largest in the Northwest.Have basketball hoop now and big playtoy for the kids to play on.
