The Hollows Villa 3 is located on the North Side of Lake Travis, this Newly Remodeled villa is a vacation home and located in The Hollows Resort. Only 45 min from downtown Austin, this villa is perfect- with 3 full bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counter tops, and all cooking utensils and needs. Our villa also offers a balcony with lake view and Hill Country view! With three bedrooms, our villa sleeps 7 comfortably. Our guests will enjoy The Hollows Beach Club with swimming pools, hot tubs, restaurant, and a fitness center. Other activities include hiking, kayaking, boat rentals, horseshoes, hammock relaxing, sand volleyball, grilling pool side, or picking up a game of kickball with the kids on the huge lawn next to the pool.

We really enjoyed our stay. However it did suck not having excess to garage and not finding parking. Especially in the evening in such a dark place. I was worried about the safety of us and other. But overall it was great.

good potential, fell short of expectations

First, there is not enough parking spaces in front of the condos. We had to park down the hill. We were also hoping to be able to walk to the pool beach club, but it was a couple minutes drive, not difficult, just not effortless. The condo itself was furnished nicely but is showing signs of wear. The bunk beds' ladder was not secured and we didn't allow our kids to use the top bunk. There were well over 1/2 dozen light bulbs not working making the place seem dark and closets completely dark. None of the TVs had cable service working. The master bath toilet would not flush. We called maintenance and they sent someone although poor communication on letting us know when to expect someone. They fixed the toilet that 1st evening but never replaced any of the light bulbs for the duration of our stay. On the first night we had very sensitive neighbors that kept banging the ceilings (that we were too loud) even going so far as calling the local security, even though we were just going about normal activity with a couple kids, this made for a sour experience starting the first night, we felt we had to tip-toe the rest of our stay. We hoped the pool would redeem the experience. On our "drive" over there, we were not told to put a # for the gate code, we finally figured that out while cars waited behind us. Finally on arriving to the pool, it was guarded with a person doing check-ins. They had a fit when not every single person was listed in our group staying at the condo... it was just another source of frustration, had to sign waivers to use the pool, etc. The pool itself is very nice with pool side servers to bring food n drink. It just seems like the bureaucracy of staying here totally kills the enjoyment and the potential is lost in all the small details. We have stayed in other places in Lago Vista with half the hassle that made for much more seamless and effortless stays. We were attracted by the pool beach club but this stay fell short of expectations.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry for your experience in regards to the beach club and the neighbor below this unit. After booking with us and receiving your rental agreement, it is asked for EACH of the people staying at your property. This property has a maximum of 7 allowed at any time. This is a Hollows POA rule - not ours or the owners. This list is then turned over the Hollows POA so that you are registered for the beach club prior to your arrival. A quick signature upon your arrival at the Beach Club is all that is required . The beach club is a hot commodity within Lago Vista as you can see, and therefore it has to be monitored closely by the POA at the entrance of the beach club. Only those staying at the Hollows are those who are allowed to use the beach club and it's facilities. At no time is it accessible to anyone NOT listed on the rental agreement. This information can be found on our website, in the Lake Travis & Co app, and inside the unit. As far as the neighbor below, we did receive calls that there were what sounded like children jumping off of beds. As with any condo, you typically have someone either below you or above you and since this unit is on the 2nd floor, you had both. Again we are very sorry for the inconvenience and wish you the best of luck with your next vacation rental.

We wanted to have a relaxing time with the family (5 people). The place had a great view, nice kitchen, each room had a tv and a big tv in the living room. The place offers different outdoor activities and a nice club house with 3 pools and a nice hot tub. We had an amazing time!

Horrible Experience !!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

We arrived to a FILTHY room; blood on toilets, dirty diapers, soiled linen, mold floating in the coffee pot, and trash everywhere. I did not receive a call back until the next day. We had to clean the property. The management promised maid service that didn't come. They moved us to another unit which took time away from our vacation. Management promised to make things right but instead of taking responsibility for the condition of the unit, and issuing a refund for one night's stay, management lied and said we left both the units in poor condition. It took them 3 weeks to finally respond to this situation and it was only because they were threatened. They have been unprofessional the entire experience. Only refunded the cleaning fee!!

Owner's Response: Sharron, Again we apologize for the condition of your rental unit when you arrived, but we attempted to make it up by moving you immediately. Your group did not experience the best arrival but you were upgraded to a premier condo and not only did your group break into the homeowners closet but the condo was left in a horrible condition. We try very hard to please all of our customers, we take responsibility when we are wrong but this rental was not a good experience for either parties. Our cleaning company had to spend an extra 4 hours on the cleaned new unit your group was moved to. Obviously there was no way for our company to compensate purposeful neglect and disregard. We did compensate you for the cleaning fee and offered you an additional night for free along with a 50% discount on future rentals. Sometimes we can not please everyone but we try very hard to learn from our mistakes and make our renters happy, but sometimes that is just not possible.
