Comfortable Waimea guesthouse during CoronaVirus uncertainty
This property was clean, comfortable and very spacious. Gemma, the owner, provided everything from laundry detergent, soap, toilet paper etc. (We have stayed at many other VRBO properties and this isn't always the case) Loved the full size, newer washing machine and dryer. Rooms were spacious (King-size in master), beds were comfortable and the enclosed garage was great too. My family loved the bonus friendly kitty that came to visit.
Because this rental is located in rural Waimea, it became a "safe-haven" for us during the stressful CoronaVirus shutdown. We had to cut our trip short and get back to Canada and Gemma was very understanding and quick to get a refund for us.
We certainly hope to get back to our favourite island soon, and we'd definitely consider staying here again.

Cozy home away from home
Real Hawaii, spacious, clean, comfortable, with beauty all around, in a neighborhood. Owner provides all essentials, full kitchen, fans and heaters, condiments, wi-fi, games, laundry. We have returned several times. Always happy here.
Clean, spacious, and affordable place to stay
A kitchen, living room, bathroom and 2 bedrooms that are clean and well-maintained. Large garage with covered parking. Floor is mostly carpeting and rugs, and is spotless. Air purifiers are installed in each room. Bed sheets smell clean.
Excellent value property but may be damp and musty
This property is excellent value and very well equipped with everything you need for a great stay!
Unfortunately, upon our arrival after a week of heavy rain, the suite was very damp (75% humidity) and musty smelling because the dehumidifier had not been turned on before our arrival.
After running the dehumidifier for several hours with no reduction in humidity or water in the basket it was clear the dehumidifier was broken.
Gemma was good in her communication about this issue and had a replacement dehumidifier provided the next day, but the issue could have been avoided in the first place and the broken dehumidifier identified and replaced in advance if it had been turned on before our arrival to ensure we had a comfortable suite waiting for us.
