About Jeanne Blaettler
Welcome to Jaden's Getaway! We are so happy to be able to share our home with you. This home is named after our 12 year old son Jaden. The closing date on this home was the one year anniversary of his adoption which was in August 2008. We are originally from Pennsylvania and when we found this house we just knew it was meant to be. We hope that you have a wonderful and relaxing time here at Jaden's Getaway.
Jeanne Blaettler purchased this House in 2008
Why Jeanne Blaettler chose Port Angeles East
My husband and I had been vacationing here for years and fell in love with the area and the slow pace of life. We made an across country move from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. We are retired, and to be honest, we can't imagine living anywhere else. The weather is perfect and the waterview is so amazing and it’s a great place to raise our son!
What makes this House unique
You will get to see cruise ships leaving and arriving to the Port of Seattle and to Vancouver, British Columbia. There are a lot of cargo ships and freighters as well as sailboats and ferries. Let’s not forget the Coast Guard Station that patrol the waters. You will see them going out and checking all marine traffic coming and going. There is never a dull moment on the Strait of Juan de Fuca! Also, you will see bald eagles regularly and the deer are always walking around the grounds, stopping to peer in the windows. Guests have reported seeing whales out in the strait in front of the house!

Great place with gorgeous view
This was a great place for two couples. It has great amenities. The view is spectacular and our early morning raccoon and deer visitors were quite charming. If you stay at this property make sure you get up in time to see the incredible sunrise. We had a problem with the heat when we first arrived, but the owner came right over and provided space heaters. It was promptly fixed the next day.
Barbara, thank you for the wonderful review! I am so glad that you guys loved the house. We were so sorry about the heat and that we were able to get it fixed right away. The system is relatively new and we are still trying to get it figured out. Computerized equipment....you gotta love it!! Lol Anyway, if you ever find yourself back on the Olympic Peninsula, keep us in mind. We would love for the opportunity to host you once again! 😊
Great Views, Spacious House
As mentioned by other reviewers this spacious house, perfect for two couples, offers fantastic views of Port Angeles harbor, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and Vancouver Island, including the lights of Victoria, B.C.
Beautiful view overlooking the strait
It was nice to come back from a long day of sight seeing and able to sit back and relax. More comfortable and homing verses a hotel room. First time I used vrbo and definitely won’t be the last. Thx for an enjoyable experience!
Easy to check in and out, clear instructions. Clean home with great view, easy to get to the Park from.
