Wonderful home in Mission Bay

  • 5 of 5

Our party of 12 stayed at Kerri's home for a spring break trip. Kerri was very responsive and overall her home was spacious and very clean. Home was very close to Mission Beach, San Diego Zoo and Legoland. The separate suite downstairs was perfect for the teenage boys. Thank you again Kerri for having us!

Overall it was nice, clean, and very conveniently located to Sea World and other attractions.

The property fit our needs perfectly. It was roomy enough to host our large family plus my sister and parents who flew in to spend a week with us in San Diego. The children enjoyed the backyard and picking lemons from the lemon tree with which we made fresh lemonade. My kids also really enjoyed the piano and were able to perform songs for their grandparents during our stay. The property was clean except for a few stains in the carpet. There was no shampoo or conditioner but we brought our own so this was not a problem. There were plenty of towels and bedding and even a highchair and crib for the baby. The downstairs mother-in-law's quarters was not quite as nice as the main house, but but still just fine. My older kids slept down there and enjoyed having their own space. We loved the large open gathering space on the main floor and the beautiful view of sunsets on the bay. The best thing about the property was probably the very convenient location to San Diego attractions. We visited the zoo, sea world, and the beach and never had to spend more than 5-10 minutes in the car.

We did hear the neighbor's dog once, but it was overall a very quiet, safe neighborhood and we had no problem sleeping. I would highly recommend this property to other families!

Spacious and very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

My employees and I came in for a convention at the Town and Country. We had multiple family members join us throughout the week as well as some who got stranded in San Diego because of the unusual northeastern snow that hit when they were supposed to leave. That being said, everyone was thrilled to stay longer and we had plenty of space for the 13 that ended up together for a few days! The house is extremely convenient to all San Diego has to offer and the owners were readily available when needed. We are all hoping to come again soon!

We absolutely loved it! Perfect location and plenty of space for our whole family. Everything was perfect. I especially loved the personal touch of the welcome basket with goodies and wine. So nice and everything was clean and beautiful! We had a grand time and will look to you again when we travel to San Diego.

The house was amazing, especially contrasting it against booking 4 hotel rooms. We would do it again

  • 5 of 5

We chose this property, after careful consideration of other houses in the area (we were attending a Marine Graduation at MCRD, 15 minutes away), and hotels for out party of 15- 9 kids, 5 adults, and one Marine Graduate.

The house itself was in a comfortable family neighborhood. We didn't fear our safety, the neighbors were friendly, and it was easy to find with our GPS. The backyard, with children's playground toys, fruit trees and outdoor entertaining areas, was perfect. We utilized it often in our down time. It was great to have a fenced in yard for the kids to play outdoors and get some physical activity in after so many hours of sitting in a plane, sitting still for a ceremony, and riding in a car. Very beneficial for their age group.

We also loved the decor. It was comfortable, and much more relaxing than a stiff hotel room. The large open area allowed our group to eat and play games, as well as watch movies together. On the flip side, the bedrooms are far enough separated that each family felt comfortable at night.

We used the basement suite as well, using the whole property. It has the laundry facilities (how great to arrive home with no dirty laundry!), as well as a living room where some of those in school used for quiet study away from our large group.

The water was always hot for showers, the rooms very temperate. The linens fresh, and all areas were very clean. The views were nice out the back window, and on the upper back porch.

The directions were simple to follow and communication was prompt.

When we arrived we visited a nearby Costco and stocked the fridge and pantry with our weeks needs. Some are provided already. A lot was saved on our vacation budget by cooking our own meals.

Our favorite part was probably how at home we felt. Everything seemed of high quality, sturdy, not fragile. The thought put into making families with children comfortable was definitely apparent. High chair and booster seat, children's books and games, as well as kids movies were there, waiting to be played with, in addition to the outdoor area. It rained our first couple days there, but we were all just as content indoors.

If I were to return with my family again, we would all vote to rent the same property. It is located close to many beaches (the family favorite was Mission Beach), popular shopping venues, as well as the airport and the Marine Corps Recruit Depot.

To Kerri and John- thanks for all you have done to make it what it is.
