We wanted to create a piece of heaven for our large family and this home is it! You'll see the deer and turkeys stroll through the yard at any time of day. This cabin, situated on seven + acres is located across the road from the Swan River which offers great fishing and inner tubing, has become a favorite summer activity for local residents as well as travelers near and far. Wherever you go, it always feels cozy return to the cabin.
We know you'll enjoy your home away from home surrounded by the beauty of Bigfork.

We have six children, who are mostly grown with eight grandchildren. We have a cleaning business here in Bigfork that we have run since 1999 after farming in Idaho for 23 years.
Mark and Renae Neilson purchased this cabin in 2003
Every season of the year provides its own unique charm and beauty here.
This home is just a short walk from Swan River, and borders state land. In addition, just a short stroll through the woods brings you to the beautiful Loon Lake. Our favorite family activity has been taking float tubes down Swan River which access is just adjacent to our driveway.
Our family stayed in this VRBO while we attended a family wedding a couple of miles away, in early September. It was perfect for our group, including 10 people. The home is beautiful, with great beds, nice linens, and beautiful leather western furniture. It is open and spacious and built with lodge pole pine. Everything was clean and inviting, with a well-equipped kitchen. It is near the beautiful Swan River, and we had deer in the yard, along with a swing and horses near by for the kids to enjoy seeing. Our whole family was amazed at how nice it was, and we would definitely highly recommend it. The owners were very nice as well.
Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home. The home worked perfect for 3 families to stay for 1 week during the summer. It had everything we could hope for in a vacation rental home, owners super friendly, beds very comfortable, all the kitchen and linens we could ask for, and in beautiful Big Sky country. We would highly recommend it!
This is a large, beautiful home in a gorgeous setting! The beds were comfortable and linens very clean. We were visited by chipmunks, turkeys, deer, squirrels and the neighbor dog Purdy! She seemed to know just when the barbecue was lit and we enjoyed her sweet spirit very much. We enjoyed our peaceful stay and would recommend it to anyone.
As others have mentioned, this is a beautiful log cabin. The pictures do not do it justice. There is a large great room with beautiful views on the main level which leads out to a beautiful deck. We enjoyed having our coffee out there every morning and wine in the evenings. The house and yard is very well maintained, clean, and stocked with everything you might need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Very comfortable beds (not sofa beds) and spacious bedrooms that will sleep 11-12 people but there is plenty of room in the walk out basement to throw a few more kids on the floor. There's also one room with a crib if you are traveling with tiny ones. There's a full bath on every floor of this 3 level home with an extra shower in the laundry room. Having 4 showers came in handy since we were traveling with teenage girls. We also located the leafs to the dining room table and were able to seat all 11 of us comfortably for family dinners. Watching the deer and the turkeys in the yard and having the fresh garden and eggs just added to the rustic charm of this beautiful home.
This home is about 10-15 minutes outside of Bigfork and North Flathead Lake with an approximate 40 minute drive to entrance of Glacier National Park. It took us about 1 hour and 10 minutes to get to Lake McDonald Lodge within the Park. There are lots of places to fish, swim, tube, horseback ride, boat and raft both within the national park and closer to the cabin. The swan river is just across the road from the cabin and has a great place to enter the river for tubing/swimming. The owners Mark and Renae were very accommodating and did everything possible to make our stay as welcoming and as comfortable as possible.
Whether you are 3 or 88, you will enjoy this beautiful Montana Cabin.
We just returned from probably the best vacation of our lives. We visited Glacier National Park, Whitefish and Bigfork. Our entire group went white water rafting and filled our days with activities. However the most memorable moments took place in the evenings when we returned to our wonderful huge cabin (Cabin of the Swans) that we rented for the week.
The cabin has a huge Great Room where everyone can gather and a large outside deck off of it.
All of the bedrooms are good size. The place is squeaky clean and it is fully stocked with anything you would ever need. The owners are the nicest and most gracious people you will ever meet.
There were five children in our group and it was fantastic for them to experience this great scenic rural location. There were dozens of deer that came through the property as well as wild turkeys. They also would check out the chicken coupe for fresh eggs daily. There was a large fenced garden and they were allowed to pick fresh raspberries. They are all city kids so this was a wonderful experience. Everyone was outside most of the time. We fished in both the river across the street and in the lake which is a five minute walk. They also went tubing in both. A few rode the two bikes briefly and almost everyone played co-Ed touch football on part of the large grassy area.
In short, if you are looking for a great vacation and a wonderful place to stay in Montana - this would be it.

This VRBO was perfect for our family reunion! The home was extremely clean and had lots of space for everyone to spread out. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The location is ideal. It's a private setting that was really quiet....no city noise, yet close to Kalispell, Flathead and Glacier Park. Each morning we would wake to deer and turkey in the yard as we would collect the eggs from the chicken coop. Great experience for young and old. This is a beautiful setting that allowed us to visit with everyone in the evenings while enjoying many adventures during the day. June was the perfect time of year to visit, temperatures were comfortable while the crowds in the park were minimal! No matter what you want to do, hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, floating, fishing, shopping, etc., its all in close proximity and some of the most serene county in the northern hemisphere. Truly breathtaking! Mark and Renae are the perfect hosts! Very kind and take such pride in keeping everything in perfect order. It was wonderful to have met you and visiting your home was a blessing for our family.
