Why Jenifer Cartland chose Lincoln Charter Township
In Kindergarten, we were asked to draw a picture of our favorite places in the world. I drew the swing set at my grandparents' cottage in northern Michigan. I still have that picture. Whenever we are at our little cottage in Stevensville, I am transported right back there to my grandparents' cottage . . . and only 90 miles from home.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love hiking at Grand Mere all year round. In the winter, the sledding is fantastic. In the summer, the beaches are so clean and beautiful (and never crowded).

Great cottage and location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. All the necessities were available.
Very nice place to stay, quiet and beautiful surondings.
We had a great stay at the cottage.
Great sucluded retreat
Great secluded retreat if you wanna get away from people for a weekend. The property could be maintained a little better. I had to do quite a bit of clean up as there were many fallen trees on the property, including one that fell on the fire pit. A little work is good for everyone! But maybe not what people are looking to do right when they go on vacation. Still a great place in my opinion.
Thank you for the nice comments! And thank you for the help in moving the fallen tree. We were not aware that a tree had fallen on the fire pit. I want you and other guests to know that if you find something out of order or needing attention you can let us know and we will do what we can to correct the situation.
Great Cozy Weekend Stay
My wife and I met here for a weekend with our son and daughter in law and it worked out great. Literally right down the street from Grand Mere State Park and a nice hike across the dunes and along the Lake Michigan shore. Plenty of space for cooking in the well equipped and updated kitchen and lots of room to relax by the fire with DVDs and board games. The cottage was exactly as described and worked out perfectly for us.
Lovely secluded cottage. Fireplace and huge garden.
Very nice mid Feb stay. Clean and had everything we needed. Lovely open fire place. Very near to the lake, but also just moments away from the highway - you don't know it's there at all, it just means the cottage is very accessible.
Old fashioned inside, but very comfortable. 2 equal size double bedrooms. Huge garden with swing set.
Would stay again.
Had a great time loved fireplace glad i brought wood and kindling and an axe
Plowed tru the snow to the pond cant wait to bring grandkids back
