Welina mai kakou! E kipa mai ia makou e 'ike i ka nani o Pa'ia..

Greetings to us all. Visit us to witness the beauty of Pa'ia...

Welcome to Hale Nihi Bed & Breakfast. We are located on Maui’s North Shore, on Baldwin Avenue in Historic Paia Town. Staying here at Hale Nihi B&B, you will enjoy the convenience of being within walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars, and cafes, with access to post office, bank services, and yoga studios, while also having the opportunity to visit sites such as the Great Paia Peace Stupa (recently visited by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in April 2007) and the world-renowned surf spot, Ho’okipa Beach Park, along with some of Maui’s most beautiful sandy beaches.

Maui’s North Shore offers something for everyone! Whether you are seeking the steady warm trade winds for windsurfing and kite surfing, the consistent ocean swells generated by storms far to the North of the Hawaiian Islands, relaxed times soaking up the warm sun on a quiet beach with calm waters or simply driving around exploring the many diverse micro climates ranging from tropical lush rain forests with natural waterfalls to the cool moon-like landscape found at the summit of Haleakala, Hale Nihi B&B offers a convenient central location as your base.

Paia has a rich history as a former sugar plantation town. Evidence of its history can still be seen today, as remnants of the Old Paia Sugar Mill still stands in the distance and sugar cane is still being grown in clear view. Staying at Hale Nihi offers you a glimpse into Paia’s history with vast and expansive views of green fields as far as the eye can see with the jagged ridges and peaks of the West Maui Mountains as its backdrop.

Chose either the 'Sunrise' or 'Sunset' unit located in the heart of Paia Town. Located within walking distance to Paia Town, Hookipa Beach, Paia Bay, Shops, Restaurants, Bars, Mana Foods, Post Office, Beauty salons, Yoga, and the unique people of Paia!! Each unit is completely furnished with Queen bed, complete cooking facilities, FREE Wi-Fi, access to 24-hour movies, on site laundry, on site parking, relaxing private lanai's, fenced yard with picnic & BBQ area.

Quiet, getaway close to everything

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in Paia. This rental is far enough away to be quiet and feel like a local, yet close enough to walk everywhere and be a visiting guest to the town.

A 4 minute walk and you're in the town center! This town is definitely a place to visit and discover. An eclectic mix of locals and bohemians, vegan food and fish tacos, rain and sunshine.

If you are going to visit Paia, you are better off staying here. Driving and parking are not fun. Walking everywhere and experiencing the town; that's fun!

Stay here. Have fun!

Beyond expectation!

  • 5 of 5

This was an amazing find with an absolutely wonderful hostess. This property was beyond perfect for my family to stay for a week in Hawaii. We are super low key people and love to stay in a more quiet location. We this was a dream. It had everything we could ever need including chairs for the beach. It was clean, quiet, and totally comfortable. Avis was never more the a text/phone call away. This property is close to awesome surf, groceries, and resteraunts. I would totally stay here again.

Great location, Avis was a great hostess, perfect setup.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at Hale Nihi. The location was great, as it is located in Paia within walking distance to everything. Avis was very welcoming and helpful for our whole stay (9 nights). We were greeted by a welcome basket on the table when we arrived which was a very pleasant surprise. The room was nicely set up with a bed and a futon, which was great as my wife found the futon more comfortable to sleep on. The suite was well stocked with all the things we needed, and the use of a propane BBQ was a great addition. There were nice lounge chairs outside to sit on, perfect for watching the geckos run around. We really enjoyed our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend the Hale Nihi to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay.

Property is centrally located and you can walk everywhere. We were here for three nights and did not get in the car once.

Condo is extremely clean and cute.

  • 4 of 5

The condo was well maintained, clean and fully stocked. It had everything we needed for our stay. Within walking distance to downtown Pa'ia. Although, I'm unsure why the condo is called a Bed and Breakfast (No breakfast). This is a condo below the homeowner.

My husband are no strangers to Maui. This was our 11th visit. However, our first experience staying for a few nights in Paia before heading to Kahana area for the remaining part of our trip. If you're heading to Hana it's the last town you'll visit. The beaches are just ok, in Pa'ia. Shopping is pretty good. Close to Haleakala crater. (Must see) especially for sunrise or sunset. Fantastic and beautiful views. Great options for restaurants (Mama's fish house is amazing). There's lots of odd things to see if you're into people watching. Our first night we witnessed a women going to the bathroom in the bushes fully naked on the main downtown parking lot. On the second day, we saw a 65 year old having a physical altercation with homeless man on a bicycle. Lots of homeless in the area although very harmless.

Overall we enjoy our visit. The host Avis was helpful with providing us some local must do activities and educating us on the area.

Thank you,

Victoria

Nice place right in town

  • 5 of 5

Easy walk into town, food, shopping, and the beach. And in heavy traffic times (which were constant over holidays) you can take the access road from Hana Hwy/Kahalui instead of having to sit forever--very nice.
