I not only meet our expectation. It exceeded them great house. Ruth the property manager was very attentive to any concern that we might have. All ready planning next trip.
Very nice house , only few problem no hot water , and no wi fi.
Geat place to stay great ocean view. Overall very spacious and comfortable.
We just got back from an amazing experience. Travelers included my wife and I, our two daughters and their husbands and 4 grandchildren 10 months to 12 years. All had a great time. We never felt crowded. Beach was beautiful and not crowded, Fire pit in the evenings was great for the kids and their smores. Adults enjoyed the roof top every evening for Happy Hour and a Grilled dinner. Our routine was Breakfast and Dinner at Home, lunch in Town or on the Beach.
We recommend a fishing excursion on a Panga Boat ( we caught 27 fish between two of us), a day trip to Puertecitos to visit the Hots Springs on the Ocean, visit the Giant Cactus, Rent an ATV for $20 and Hour, and sample Street Food away from the Malecon and touristy souvenirs. Our Favorites were the Carnitas adjacent to DJ Market and the Marisco across from the new Super Market.....all these small locals allow you to BYOB.
If you have a 4 wheel drive, you can ride on the beach in front of home, just lower the tire pressures to about 10 psi...we learned this the hard way but a next door neighbor came to our rescue ( we met several and all were nice).
Internet at the home never did work for us but, that was a blessing!
Doug the owner was extremely prompt in answering our pre-trip questions and his caretaker team was responsive. Our only need was a Propane Tank for the gril and it was delivered within less than 10 minutes.
The house was amazing. We enjoyed the huge kitchen and roof top patio the most. Waking up to the sun rising over the sea was amazing also. About 6 miles from town and 2 miles from "The Giant Cactus Forest", made it easy to go for drinks, dinner, shopping and sightseeing whenever needed. We will definitely be back.
Staying on the Sea of Cortez was great. I drove down from California with my wife and 3 young adult children. House is charming with a lot of room for us all. We did a lot of family bonding.
We hit some of the best weather all season for December (brisk at night but beautiful days in the 70's). Walks on the beach were nice as there was no one else around. Spent a good deal of time by the fire pit outside.
We were able to experience the first full moon on Christmas eve (next one will be in 2038) and really the evening were as I stated above really picturesque and beautiful. House amenities were just right - everything we needed was there. Property was clean and well-maintained. Ruth the house manger is great and Jamie the guy who can assist with facilities is an Ex Pat (Latin) American that speaks perfect English. He was really great and attentive to what we needed (checking to be sure the water tank was full and answered any questions).
The owner Doug is really nice as well and attentive to sending us what we needed before the trip.
Absolutely recommend this to friends. This is our second trip and can't wait to go again. If you have any special food needs (like vegan) best to buy special food items before the in USA. Great market for meat is "La Vaquita" and another called "JR Market". Internet was sporadic (they have a great coffee house in town with great WI-FI and most places also have it). We did not mind as it was good not to have everyone texting all the time.
Recommend by a package for cellular service (and limited data) when in Mexico to avoid excessive bills.
All in all one of the best times my family has had together in years....
You will not have any trouble filling your days with activities or just relax around the house or on the beach. Your worries and stress melt from the moment you arrive. If you have quads or motorcycles bring them along, you can ride them right on the beach outside the front door. If you have a small boat or jet ski, it can be launched in front of the house to go fishing, sailing, kite surfing, wake boarding or water skiing. You can rent a boat at the marina and rent quads in town. The shelling and fishing from the beach are spectacular. There are plenty of great restaurants and shopping in town. We have referrals for all of your needs no matter what they may be.
