Overview

About the property

3 bed/1 bath + sun porch (sleeps 6-8)

Charming fully furnished Lake house for both friends and families to enjoy. The house is situated on a charming 450 acre lake in northern Wisconsin. The lake is known as a class A Musky Lake, but other species abound including Walleye, Crappie, Bass, Perch, and pan-fish. If fishing is not what you are after, there are also water-sports to enjoy. The property has 100 feet of slowly sloping sandy bottom frontage. My friends have children that love to play around the dock. Even at 200 feet out, the sandy bottom is only 4-5 feet deep.

After a long day of fishing or playing on the water, it is always nice to enjoy a few smores and beverages around the large fire ring. There is also a wood burning Sauna located 5 feet from the water. Perhaps a nice relaxing stint in the Sauna followed by a jump in the lake is what you're looking for? New floors, cedar tongue and groove ceiling, and a modern bathroom are among the highlights. The kitchen is also newly finished with modern appliances. Nice furniture and a 55' LED TV come standard in the living room. Perhaps sitting around the cozy fireplace tickles your fancy?

Sleeping arrangements are as follows.....1 queen bed upstairs in the Master Bedroom facing the lake. Down the hall there are 2 more bedrooms. One room houses 1 double bed, and the other, 2 twin beds. In the sunroom there is a hide-away bed, and there is also an air mattress and couch to sleep a few more.

About Jim Saksewski

I have decided to rent out my lake home over the summer now that I work and live an hour away. My loss is your gain!

Jim Saksewski purchased this house in 2008

Why Jim Saksewski chose Wisconsin

This area is a great getaway destination for friends and families. The lake is close enough to a big city(Duluth / Superior) but yet far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. This particular location is notorious for being 10 - 15 deg warmer than in town (away from Lake Superior).

What makes this house unique

This is a great place to wake up to the residing Loon family singing a song. Walk out the door and 100 feet to the lake while enjoying your coffee. Peace and tranquility can be enjoyed to its fullest!

I also enjoy the 3 watering holes around the lake. There is also a general store at the campground...they have the best pizza around!

Lovely lake cabin styled home.

  • 5 of 5

Enjoyed our stay very much. Jim was always available with any questions we had before and during our stay. This was a lovely home with any amenity you could ask of a vacation home. Access to water right on the property, a very beautiful, quiet lake. Would happily recommend this property!

Family Reunion -August 2017

  • 5 of 5

We had family in town from Ohio, NY and Minneapolis ranging in age from 1 to 80 and this home was perfect!. The level lot and plenty of parking made it easy for all to move around. We played lots of yard games and used the kayaks every day. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and will rent again if the reunion is up north again. Thank you

Absolutely the perfect location for our family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting for our family vacation. The house was roomy, well stocked, and perfectly suited for our needs. The lake was exactly what we were looking for, with plenty of room for every thing... fishing, skiing, kayaking, swimming! And the property was spacious, open, and well kept. My only advice would be to make sure you map where you're going because our cell service (gps) wasn't available as the house really is tucked out of the way, also would recommend bringing something for shade. Other than that there are places just a short drive if you forgot anything, and plenty of sightseeing in close proximity. Jim communicated promptly and thoroughly throughout the process. All in all I will definitely inquire into another stay at this property.

A relaxing, fun weekend!

  • 5 of 5

The place was wonderful and relaxing!

Jim was so wonderful in accommodating all our questions and even from afar, thru text and email and friendly neighbors, we never had any problems.

Our family (of all ages) had a great time!

Thanks Jim, hope to see you again!

Great trip!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful lake! I visited with my three young kids (ages 2, 4 and 8), and the lakefront area was perfect for them. They could play in the sand and were able to stand for a ways out into the water. And the lake was quiet enough that my oldest learned how to kayak! The house was large and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this house!
