Cozy Lake Home with All the Amenities

Bedrooms 3
Property type house
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

3 bed/1 bath + sun porch (sleeps 6-8)

Charming fully furnished Lake house for both friends and families to enjoy. The house is situated on a charming 450 acre lake in northern Wisconsin. The lake is known as a class A Musky Lake, but other species abound including Walleye, Crappie, Bass, Perch, and pan-fish. If fishing is not what you are after, there are also water-sports to enjoy. The property has 100 feet of slowly sloping sandy bottom frontage. My friends have children that love to play around the dock. Even at 200 feet out, the sandy bottom is only 4-5 feet deep.

After a long day of fishing or playing on the water, it is always nice to enjoy a few smores and beverages around the large fire ring. There is also a wood burning Sauna located 5 feet from the water. Perhaps a nice relaxing stint in the Sauna followed by a jump in the lake is what you're looking for? New floors, cedar tongue and groove ceiling, and a modern bathroom are among the highlights. The kitchen is also newly finished with modern appliances. Nice furniture and a 55' LED TV come standard in the living room. Perhaps sitting around the cozy fireplace tickles your fancy?

Sleeping arrangements are as follows.....1 queen bed upstairs in the Master Bedroom facing the lake. Down the hall there are 2 more bedrooms. One room houses 1 double bed, and the other, 2 twin beds. In the sunroom there is a hide-away bed, and there is also an air mattress and couch to sleep a few more.

About Jim Saksewski

I have decided to rent out my lake home over the summer now that I work and live an hour away. My loss is your gain!

Jim Saksewski purchased this house in 2008

Why Jim Saksewski chose Wisconsin

This area is a great getaway destination for friends and families. The lake is close enough to a big city(Duluth / Superior) but yet far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle. This particular location is notorious for being 10 - 15 deg warmer than in town (away from Lake Superior).

What makes this house unique

This is a great place to wake up to the residing Loon family singing a song. Walk out the door and 100 feet to the lake while enjoying your coffee. Peace and tranquility can be enjoyed to its fullest!

I also enjoy the 3 watering holes around the lake. There is also a general store at the campground...they have the best pizza around!

Quiet and Relaxing

  • 5 of 5

Our family of six spent five days and enjoyed our stay. We didn't rent the boat or kayaks, but our kids had a great time swimming off the dock in the shallow lake. There is a nice bar/restaurant just up the shore, with others also around the lake that we didn't check out. This home had adequate space for all of us and there are remodeling projects in process that will make this home even nicer in the future. The owner was also pleasant to work with and easy to contact if needed.

Well-maintained and well-equipped home on quiet lake

  • 5 of 5

Well-maintained and recently renovated lake home. Description on VRBO website is accurate. Wide variety of sleeping options including second floor bedrooms and more public areas on first floor. An easy 15 minute drive to Superior (for shopping) as well as good access to lake communities south of Superior along highway 53. Owner is easy to contact via email and responds to questions quickly. Would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it to other prospective renters.

This is a great place to stay. So peaceful and relaxing. Clean and seems just like home. The kitchen is spacious for cooking and gathering around. The living room is so cozy with a beautiful fireplace. The sauna is fantastic. The front porch faces the lake which is gorgeous. I will be going back either with friends or family.

Great girls weekend location!

  • 5 of 5

Every year several of my girlfriends get together and have what we call a "widow's weekend" during deer hunting season. There were 8 of us and there was plenty of room for all to socialize and sleep comfortably. The kitchen is large and great for cooking meals for a crowd. The home is very clean. Living room area and kitchen are attached allowing all to be a part of what is going on! Its also a great space for lounging and just relaxing (comfortable furniture). The front porch provides a good view of the lake. My favorite part was being able to sauna and enjoy the evening stars. The sauna was relaxing and comfortable for a small group to hang out. Showering and bathroom space was sufficient for a group of girls. Everything you needed in the home was there (from a can opener to games for all to play). The fire place was nice for relaxing and the house was kept at a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. There are local bars and restaurants close by for those who want to venture out. There also are great routes to take a walk around the lake to enjoy the outside air. I would highly recommend this location and we are in for next year!
