Great flat with wonderful views over the Firth of Forth and Anstruther Harbour. Anstruther is just 9 miles south of St. Andrews in the picturesque East Neuk of Fife. A beautiful coastal walk connects the fishing villages along the coastline. Anstruther is the largest of the five villages and the flat is located on the main street of town just steps from many great shops, pubs, and restaurants. The ferry to the Isle of May leaves from Anstruther Harbor. The island has a fascinating history and is a bird watcher's paradise. The East Neuk offers many historical places of interest as well as beautiful beaches and lots of outdoor activities.
The flat has 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room so it can sleep up to 6 people maximum. Both the larger bedroom and the living room have outstanding views over the Firth of Forth and Anstruther harbor. The flat is part of a listed building rebuilt in 1835.
Keywords: Comfortable, spacious apartment with harbor and water views situated in a beautiful area of Fife, Scotland, just 9 miles south of St. Andrews. Anstruther is one of 5 picturesque fishing villages along this coastline.
My husband and I live in Florida but I am from Scotland. We both love Scotland and purchased the flat so that we could have a place of our own when we visit family. We intend to spend a lot of time there after retirement.
The Owner purchased this apartment in 2007
We chose Anstruther because it is a very popular holiday destination that is not too far from my family. The area is very charming and beautiful and offers many amenities.
We really enjoy the coastal walk that connects the fishing villages and the top notch seafood restaurants and pubs in the area. We like being close to St. Andrews - my husband enjoys all the great golf courses within easy driving distance as well as the fun 9-hole course in Anstruther. Being close to St. Andrews and only an hour to Edinburgh is also a big plus. I also have to say the water and harbor views from the flat are wonderful.
The flat has wonderful views out across the harbour and everything you could need for a comfortable stay.
This was my second time staying in the flat and I would definitely stay again if I am back visiting the area.
We had a wonderful 5 days (our second visit) in this flat, which offers total comfort and excellent value. The location is ideal for exploring the Fife coast (by foot, bike, bus or car) and for great golf. Fabulous views. Shops and cafes steps away. Even a Michelin star restaurant! The flat owner is very caring and accommodating. We hope to return again.....and highly recommend this exceptional property!
Superb views out of windows right onto harbour. Clean plenty of room , has all you need comfy beds tv dvd wifi and two minutes walk to local shops.
Easy to find.
Bus stop at front door if you want to leave the car.
I preferred this flat to one we had last year in elie.
Very well located, immaculately clean, roomy, easy to find and easy to travel to surrounding villages. We had a lovely stay and will be back.
We spent two relaxing days in the flat overlooking Anstruther harbour. The flat is nicely kitted out and homely. Highly recommended.
We had a lovely couple of days stay in the flat which had a wonderful view over the harbour to East Lothian on the other side of the Forth. The flat was extremely was very comfortable, clean and had everything required for our stay. Anstruther is a good base for exploring the East Neuk of Fife. We did a circular cycle one day and walked part of the Fife Coast walk the next passing quaint villages on the way.
