My family and I loved our stay while renting this house. We were literally one and a half minutes walk to the beach and activities. The house was very clean, quiet and full of all the luxuries you would want away from home. The house was spacious and allowed for us all to spread out on our extended stay. The two bedroom 2.5 baths was perfect. The outdoor living space was terrific. We used the grill and fire pit every day. The bikes we great, all adult sizes, though. There were beach toys, chairs and we left the boogie boards we purchased. The washer and dryer space was clean and so convenient. Pack on the light side, with this being so nice to have on site. Garage parking was great. The owner was easy to work with. We had no issues to call him on when we were there. He was quick to respond to my questions prior to our arrival. Check in and out were so easy. The internet was good, making work convenient. Anything you can imagine to do, is in the area or easy enough to get to. This was a great unit and we would stay again.
We really enjoyed staying in this home. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels and washcloths along with laundry if needed. The kitchen was very nice. The location was excellent, and having a garage to park in was really great for us.
There were 2 queen beds and 2 and 1/2 baths. We stayed with our son, but this would be perfect for 2 couples. Plenty of privacy for each couple, and plenty of space in the kitchen/living area.
Another thing that we really appreciated is that we didn't have to purchase hand soap, dish soap, trash bags or toilet paper like you do with some rentals. All of those things were provided, and that made things much easier moving in.
Owner, David, contacted us before our stay with all the information that we needed, and was easy to reach. We would definitely stay here again.
The house itself is beautiful and well-maintained. In general it was clean, but there was sand in the bottom of one of the showers when we got there. I had asked the owner for his phone # in case we had any questions and he gave it to me but when I called to say that the door to the laundry was locked (not his fault, ours), he said he had only given us the phone # for emergencies. He did send someone over with the key for the laundry, but I was afraid to call with questions after that. It would have been great to leave instructions on how to use some of the things in the house. For example, there was a beautiful outdoor gas fireplace which I eventually got working, but it wasn't self-evident how to do that. Also, we were never able to figure out how to change the channels on the TV in one of the rooms. In addition, I could not find the garbage can so when it came time to take out the garbage I had to put it into a neighbor's. There is a great outdoor kitchen with a grill, but I could not find a hot pad or any grilling utensils.
The front door is really hard to find. A cab will drop you off in front of the garage and there is a house immediately behind that but that is not the correct house. You have to keep going to the opposite alley before you reach the property. He did not tell us about that which is how we ended up opening and then locking the laundry room. The neighborhood itself is a bit sketchy. As two women, we were not comfortable walking around at night by ourselves.
As others have shared this property is well kept and the owner really tries to please. His responses were quick and he responds to both email and cell. The beds are comfortable. Pretty much anything you could ask for in a rental property. It would have been helpful to have a small booklet with information such as internet login information, what to do upon leaving, etc. Other than that, this place is perfect. Thanks for a nice stay.
Wow, not only was this place absolutely adorable, but it was set with everything we needed to enjoy the 4th of July in a fun neighborhood. David was super responsive whenever we had an issue, and we loved every minute here. Next we'll be back again for longer. Highly recommend this spot!!
Venice Beach is the infamous haunt of Los Angeles' beat-poet and art society of yester-year. Today, the beach is a parade of outrageous characters including performers, fortune-tellers, artists and craftsmen. Lounge about in the sand, people-watch on the Venice Boardwalk, check out high-flying stunts at the Venice Skate Park, or head over to the world-famous Muscle Beach Gym. From sunrise to sunset, Venice Beach is where it's at.
