Home sleeps 14 in beds, and there are also 2 queen size futons and a loft with air mattress and sleeping bags. We allow a MAXIMUM of 18 guests.

And of course, let's not forget that you are only MINUTES away from world class skiing and golf at Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, A Basin and Vail.

About Bill and Marla Vollmer

We're a semi - retired (real estate development) couple from the St. Louis area who have been coming to Summit County for almost 30 years. Our grown children have made Colorado their home and we figured if we wanted to spend more time with them we should make the move, too. You just can't help but love it out here!

Why Bill and Marla Vollmer chose Summit County Colorado

We wanted a property that was centrally located, offering easy access to all that Summit County has to offer. Considered Breckenridge, but getting in and out of town during the busy seasons can be SO time consuming.

We wanted to be able to reach Hwy. 70 quickly and easily. That way, if we decided to ski Vail or Beaver Creek, or drive down to Ft. Collins or Denver, the highway is practically right out the door and we don't get hung up in Breck traffic! We love that it's close enough for our kids to drive up and visit often! Knew that we wanted Mesa Cortina or Cortina Ridge...just love this quiet and friendly neighborhood! We just had to be in this area rarely come up for sale!

What makes this house unique

We love the views this home offers, the neighborhood, and the easy, level entrance into the garage. Very few homes in Summit County have everything you need on one level with no steps, and since we plan to grow old up here, this home is ideal. So easy to unload and put away the groceries, carry in packages, etc... And again, a big plus being in Cortina Ridge in Silverthorne makes highway 70 access so convenient, getting anywhere we want to go is a breeze.

Master on main level and easy one step entry make home accessible to elderly or infirm. Hair dryer, straightener, and curling iron in master bath and basement guest bathroom. 2017 Spring Break Ski Trip

Loved your place. Was very clean and very large. Location was great. Was perfect for group of 4 families to share and never felt crowded. Want to reserve it for next year.

Beautiful home with great hosts

The home was beautiful, but what really made this vacation stand out was how nice and responsive the hosts were. They have a stocked kitchen that they allow to use anything out of, labels on everything for easy access and are extremely responsive to email. I highly recommend staying at Bill and Marla's place.

"Renegade 25 Year Reunion"

I have to start with homeowners and their first rate treatment throughout the process. Their communication and concern for a top notch visit were very reassuring. As for the home the pictures just do not do it justice. The kitchen was amazing and surprisingly well stocked. The grill was great for preparing BBQ and grilling burgres and brats. We used the pool table and the hot tub after our days of skiing, shopping and site seeing. This home is just a great place for a group gathering. Our group of combat vets came from all over the country for our 25th anniversary reunion and to the man were totally impressed with this home and the surrounding area. Thanks again to the owners for one of the best reunions the "Renegades" have had. "Climb to Glory"

The house was well designed, thoughtfully furnished and supplied and perfectly situated.

The Two Bears property was the perfect place for our family's Christmas celebration. It could not have been more comfortable or convenient. On clear days, the younger family members headed for the nearby ski slopes; in bad weather, they played pool downstairs. In all weather, they enjoyed the hot tub. The owners, Bill and Marla Vollmer, were very gracious, helpful hosts.

Great home, worked amazingly for our large group!

A great summer time base camp for our Jeeping adventures! This is a wonderful home, very grateful the owners shared it with our group!

I was surprised to see the owners were Cardinals fans. As a Cubs fan, this couldn't be left alone! We left a great party gift behind; Cubs hat and Harry Carey glasses on the buck hanging in the living room! Haha!

Thank you for having a sense of humor, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful home with breathtaking views

The past several years, our family rents a house in the Silverthorne area to ski over the kids' Spring Break, and this year was no different. We had not stayed in this home before, but it ended up being one of our favorites. The pictures do not do it is beautiful. In fact I might recommend posting a new picture of the outside. My husband was concerned that it was a duplex at first because the outside picture only shows half of the garage.

There were only 4 of us, so everyone had their own huge room, and we liked that the other bedrooms were in the basement separate from the master so that my hubby and I had a little separation if we wanted it. And we loved that all of the cabinets were labeled in the kitchen. Both Bill and Marla were wonderful to work with and were very responsive anytime I had a question. The view outside of the great room was absolutely gorgeous. The hot tub was huge with lots of different jets and features, and it was cleaned once (regular maintenance) while we were there, which was nice. And the pool table was very fun although it was a little too close to one of the walls for certain shots.

The last day we were there, my hubby and I took our snow shoes out and after walking down the road a bit, stumbled upon this path that took us through a field and into some woods, which we loved.

The only things I can "complain" about, and they aren't really big complaints, are that we didn't find the beds and pillows super comfortable, so our nights were a bit restless. But I know that is a very personal thing, and not every mattress/pillow is for everyone. And we have certainly stayed in places with less comfortable beds and pillows. Also, especially on sunny days, it was really hard to regulate the radiant heat in the house (which is mentioned in the documentation). We like our house pretty cool, so it took us the first day to realize that on sunny days, we needed to turn the thermostats way down. We also were a bit surprised that the hot water ran out so quickly when all of us were wanting to shower after skiing...but we dealt with it and just alternated. And we loved the steam shower in the master bath, but learned that you can't regulate how hot it just have to turn it off when you've had enough. :) Lastly, we aren't fans of commercials, so not having any movie channels was a bit of a bummer, but we just rigged up our own movies to watch.

But all in all, we had a great time! Thank you Marla and Bill!
