Why Antoine Attier chose Lionshead Village

Location! Location! Location! This is not the most luxurious property in Vail, but definitely one of the best located in the valley. I buy primarily based on location, and this one is a 41 second walk to the Ski Lifts! No more jammed shuttles/bus, just wake-up and you're on the slopes!

What makes this condo unique

The Building also has many amenities on the premises as well such as complimentary high-speed WiFi, a hot tub, 24 hour ATM banking, ski rental shops, restaurants and retail shopping.

Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in early August and really enojoyed the beautiful weather (high 70s, low 80s during the day). We spent most of our time on the balcony when we were back at the room. We were in town Thursday through Sunday for a wedding. This location was central to other hotels, restaurants and shopping. The pictures are true depictions of the area and unit.

Local transportation: We took a shuttle from the airport to Vail, which was cheap and comfortable. Once we arrived we did not need a car. We walked between Lionshead and Vail villages. It's a well maintained sidewalk with homes and shops along the way. They have a FREE shuttle that goes between villages, and we even took the shuttle to a grocery store (Safeway and City Market) off highway 70 going west (FREE).

Restaurants: The cafes and restaurants below the unit are fantastic. Garfinkel's is super yummy and casual. Bart and Yeti's is super popular (casual enough to take your dog) and next door is Montauk Seafood (a little more upscale, $$$$). It was awesome to sit on the balcony and figure out which restaurant to go to based on available seats outside. There are nice shops below the unit (Patagonia) and a Starbucks a few stores down.

Unit: When we arrived the unit hadnot been cleaned. It looked like someone had just left. We called Juan and he came over within 20 minutes. He asked us to leave while they cleaned, but we were so tired we sat on the balcony. It took them about 25 minutes to clean the unit. This was very disappointing. They did a good job of cleaning the unit. It is an old place, but functionally it will meet your needs. They had a coffee maker (included filters), silverware, dishes, etc., which we used. The bathroom had makeup remover wipes, which I appreciated. They actually provide these so you don't ruin their towels. (You will be charged if you get makeup on the towels). The bed was comfortable, but the pillows are flat. They do not provide blankets so make sure to bring one if you get cold.

Access and stay: The unit is very quiet at night, even with the restautants and shops below. We changed the key pad code and felt very safe in the unit/building. Anthony was very thorough with making sure we had what we needed when we arrived. It was a very smooth and efficient process.

Overall, this is great a unit for convenience and location.

We had a great stay in this condo. The bed was very comfortable and the unit was clean and stocked with most of the essentials one might need to have a peaceful weekend and not dining out for every meal. Would stay again!

Central and uncomplicated

  • 5 of 5

This is a very central condo in the Lionshead section of Vail, steps from the public parking garage and the gondola. The description is accurate - it is like a studio with a wall divider between the living area and the bed. The view is as depicted - you can see the ski hill from the little balcony. It was quiet at night while we were there. The living area has a sleeper sofa and a much appreciated gas fireplace. The kitchen area is functional. Antoine was very responsive and had detailed explanations about accessing the place. It was really nice to be able to walk to everything. The place was a good size for two people and could work for 3-4 if they are sharing the two beds. Vail is expensive and with that taken into account this was probably one of the more affordable places to stay centrally. And the skiing in Vail is divine.

Car: not necessary

Location! Location! Location! In the heart of Vail Lionshead Village, Colorado, 41 seconds (120 Yards) walk to the ski lifts and Gondola, across the pedestrian mall from the Arrabelle At Vail, Resort and SPA. No need to ride the shuttle to get to the slopes!
