Top floor unit in Vail Village, located across from Solaris, and just a short walk to the ski lifts/ Vail Gondola 1, in Vail Village Colorado. Across the street from the ice rink in Vail, this unit is a loft/Studio-One bedroom condominium located on the second floor. This property offers a fabulous location across the square from Solaris (5 Star Resort), BOL (Bar and Bowling alley), Vail Ice Rink, also located in same building as La Tour Restaurant.

This property is in a premier location within Vail Village. Just steps to skiing, ice skating, fine dining and couture shopping.

It sleeps 4 in one Queen Bed and one Queen Sofabed. It has:

Location! Location! Location! This is not the most luxurious property in Vail, but definitely one of the best located in the valley. I buy primarily based on location, and this one is a prime central location close to the slopes, dining, nightlife, summer festivities! No more jammed shuttles/bus, just wake-up and hit the slopes!

The unit was perfect, in the center of Vail Village

The unit was as describe, and was exactly what we were looking for. Parking was right across the street, you are in the middle of Vail Village hence everything is there. We had a great time

Condo Vail Core

The location is wonderful close to all locations in the village and on the bus route out the front door. If you are tall, the bed loft upstairs will not work for you. It was clean and had all the necessary essentials.

Expected more

I have to start by saying that I did not contact the property owner regarding these issues during my stay, as I just trying to avoid additional hastles.

The plumbing system is strange. It seems like the tub, toilet and sink in the bathroom are all connected. If you took a shower and someone else tried to use the toilet, a few minutes later, the water would back up in the tub, from what was recently flushed. We were only able to take showers on the first full day we were there, quite disappointing if on a ski trip.

2nd, there is no way to get fresh air into the unit. It looked as though the window cranks were removed and the windows sealed. It would have been real nice to have some fresh colorado air, especially since there were plumbing problems.

3rd, the sleeping equipment felt really old and cheap. I understand that you can appease all guests, some like firm and some like soft, but a quality firm mattrest is still comfortable, and I sleep on a firm back home. The loft mattes was hard as a rock, not firm. Investment in a quality mattress should be done. The pullout mattress, which we used because the upstairs was so uncomfortable after a day of riding, was as if there was no mattress at all. It was compressed, and the frame was so sagging, that your feet were more elevated than your head.

Location is great for the money, but definitely not the r and r we were looking forward to on our vacation. If you are okay with roughing it, and need to book on budget, this will do it, but I would have rather spent a hundred more per night and enjoyed nice sleeping arrangements, working plumbing, and fresh air.

Owner's Response: Sorry but you forgot to mention that you or someone with you actually may have clogged the sewer system in the building by throwing stuff in the toilet that made the sewer back up. The building management spent a 1000$ just after you left to fix the plumbing in the building and I will not mention what the plumbing company found. The system was working fine before your arrival and it stopped working the last day you left and no one in your group dared reporting it to us to avoid being slammed with the plumbing bill. There is nothing wrong with the plumbing but when the guests throw stuff in the toilet (other than toilet paper and I think everyone understands what I am talking about) it clogs. If there was any problem when you arrived I am pretty sure you would have told us! We found a big mess after you left. Also, the windows are shut tight in the winter because the temperature is close to 0 and guests open the windows and leave the unit and we deal with pipe freezes and leaks. This is the reason they are shut in the winter and open the rest of the year. Getting zero degree fresh air is just outside the door. Again, if you had reported to us we would have told you where the handle to open the windows is located in the unit. We just keep it on the side. Finally the mattress, it is a regular high end Ikea mattress and you may think it is hard and others think it is soft. Ikea does not have any hard mattress in their catalog as you can check, so am not sure what to say. I guess this is why there are so many kinds of mattresses on the market because the feel is very subjective. Thank you for your stay.

Gem in the Village

Great location, cozy fireplace, great kitchen for all your needs. Loved this place. Will no doubt come back. Spent a long ski weekend with my daughter here, perfect size for 2 people but pull out couch would accommodate 4. We kept are skis and boots at the Ski-Haus overnight which was 15$ a day(worth it). Public parking was 25$ a day and right across the street. Very clean and comfortable. No brainer

Great Location, Nice new upgrades but the upstairs BR is almost unusable

The upstairs BR has a ceiling height of about four feet. OK to sleep but not able to stand. You must sit on the floor to access the dresser. Nothing on the website indicates that.
