It's great for families, couples and singles to relax and also explorers alike looking for an active beach town. This Villa Was Excellent
I have to take time to thank Jamia and the rest of the management staff for villa #8. The villa is very nice right down to small details, such as: a big screen television and cable in all the bedrooms and living room. They were very accommodating to our unusual arrival and departure schedule. I have stayed in Hispanola Residential in other villas several times and I will definitely stay in villa #8 again. I would recommend this villa and staff.

Great villa and outstanding staff
This villa is close to the gate, secluded with a wonderful staff. Cannot go wrong by staying here.
This was by far the best vacation I have ever taken. I absolutely LOVED having the entire villa to ourselves. What an incredible time. The private pool, open floor plan, cozy kitchen and warm accommodations made this stay impeccable. There is 24 hour security which made me feel very safe and the staff on site were great. Owner was so nice and made booking super easy. If you book, you won't be disappointed.
Disappointed but made the most of our month
The location and security were good, as were the daily maid service and gardener. There was always a fresh bottle of water for the dispenser. The layout of the house works well and the pool was used daily. It is close to the supermarket (and a couple others too) and all the taxis know how to find you.
There were numerous deficiencies and it took us over 2 weeks to get some things fixed. We would have preferred to have decent amenities, especially the fridge. They finally fixed the barbecue but a number of things still weren't done by the time we left.
Not all of their photos are accurate. Some of the furniture is missing.
We were looking forward to "The community also has its own private beach less than a 5 minute drive away." but that is untrue. To access this beach costs $50 per day payable to the hotel. There is no arrangement.
We do have good memories but there were some challenges we weren't expecting.
Short of luxury
A very convenient and quiet location but it fell short of my definition of luxury. The kitchen was under-equipped: no suitable knives, one wine glass, mismatched dishware, and the fridge froze food even when the temperature was reduced. There was no usable BBQ which I do understand was subsequently repaired. The BBQ is on the ground level where after dark there is no suitable light so be prepared with a flashlight to see what you are cooking. The pool area has three lounge chairs, all showing signs of mildew. If guests exceed three people, someone will go without. A simple water and bleach solution used occasionally on the chairs would remedy the mildew issue. The pool was well maintained with daily cleaning. The house includes a room for the grounds keeper and supplies as well as a laundry and clothesline that maids use for for laundry from other properties, meaning these staff are frequently walking around the property throughout the day. Not exactly private.

Had termites in headboard which crawled a over the person for 3 nites. Rented for 5 people and only pool furniture for 3. BBQ was rusted right through. Definitely not luxury. Missing lots of kitchen tools. Even had to buy knifes
From a management perspective we don’t like to hear you were not 100% satisfied with your stay. This is highly uncharacteristic for our properties; we have a proven track record with numerous reviews to corroborate the positive/exceptional experiences from other guests.
We always strive to exceed expectations, however sometimes as many of us do, we fell short. For that we are sorry that your experience was not the stellar one we all had hoped.
As you stated there were many things you enjoyed about your experience; therefore, your entire trip was not unpleasant! In an effort to satisfy your request, we happily refunded a portion of your payment, quickly responded to all of your concerns and had onsite staff to assist you.
The lovely tropical beaches are the main attraction of Sosua. Activities in Sosua include glass-bottom boat tours, waters sports like snorkeling, diving and kite surfing, as well as night life and shopping in luxury boutiques or local souvenir shops. With a tropical Caribbean climate, Sosua also offers plenty of opportunities for sunbathing and relaxing on the beach. Charter boats for sailing and sport fishing in Sosua are available and there are also several beautiful waterfalls near Sosua to visit. Activity tours. Snorkeling and diving tours in Sosua depart from Playa Sosua. The area of Cabarete near Sosua is popular for windsurfing. Horseback riding and jeep tours are available. Whale watching in Sosua is a popular activity during the winter months, and local tour operators offer rafting and mountain biking tours. The North coast of Dominican Republic also offers a few golf courses worth trying if you are visiting Sosua
