we fell in love with the relaxing atmosphere that the Berkshires provide, and the endless activities
we really enjoy floating around the lake on a hot summer day.
Perfect cabin interior, nice view of the lake from the big sliders, ample space inside. But outside needs a gas grill! Sure the built in wood fire cooker is nice, but if youre out an about all day or getting in late one evening, its nice to just fire up a grill real quick. Otherwise we had a blast. Thanks!
Enjoyed an extended weekend at this cozy cottage on the lake. Everything was as described and an added bonus was the outdoor fireplace! Excellent location for little ones to fish from the dock because they don't have to wait long to get a bite - even without live bait. Close to everything the the Berkshires have to offer, but at the same time, off the beaten trail for those who prefer a more secluded location. Would return for another stay.
We stayed for about a week and had a great time. The paddle boat was a blast, and the cottage was just perfect us. Very comfortable, nice kitchen.
The cottage was very cute. It was clean, modern, and very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay in Becket. There's lots to see and do in the area, and the cottage was very secluded and relaxing after a long day of exploring the surrounding area. I would definitely recommend this to others.
This is our second summer we stay at this cozy cottage. We had a wonderful time with Teresa and Frank being available whenever we had any request. The lake is lovely and the pedal boat is such a fun! Not talking about all cultural events so accessible from this place. We look forward to renting it again next summer.
The cottage was fantastic. As soon as we walked in the door (tired around 11 pm) we were immediately filled with excitement. The cottage is incredibly adorable. It is rustic, cozy, and clean all at the same time. Rejuvenated and excited to start enjoying our vacation, we decided to walk down to check out the dock even though it was dark. We couldn't see very much of the lake at the time of night, but then we looked up and were captivated by the blanket of stars. We spent nearly an hour just laying out on the dock watching the sky and pointing out shooting starts.
The lake is small, but very clean and calm. We had a great time swimming and pedaling around. Also the neighbors are very kind and welcoming. Of course Jacob's Pillow was great, but if you want a seat at the Inside/Out free performance I'd recommend getting there early. However, even if you don't get a seat, the performance is only about half and hour. After Jacob's Pillow we enjoyed cooking outside and sitting by the fire.
Check-out is at 11, but we weren't quite ready to go home, so we found Camp Overflow about 20 minutes away, where we rented kayaks for a few hours. The camp is on a very large and beautiful reservoir. However, there are a lot of motorboats on the water, which made us a little nervous at first but then we came to enjoy the ride of the wakes. If you're looking for canoe/kayak rentals Camp Overflow is closer and less expansive than Onota Boat Liver.
Bottom line, we had a great, peaceful, but active stay. Our only regret was that we didn't stay longer.
