About Bob and Warren Shoemaker
Our cottage has been thoroughly enjoyed by the large Shoemaker family of Portland for 4 generations, has provided many happy beach memories and celebrations. Our favorite activities are playing games, enjoying campfires and playing on the beach, and walking the bay and the ocean beach toward Oceanside.
Bob and Warren Shoemaker purchased this Cottage in 1963
What makes this Cottage unique
Our cottage lends itself to great together time, with an open kitchen and 'great room' layout, deck with ocean view, and a variety of games (including horseshoes in the large yard). There's no TV, but we do have a DVD player (you can borrow DVDs from the Terimore Motel without charge). Time to catch up, relax, read, play games, or walk on the beach - great stress reducers, family builder!

Fun in Netarts
If you are looking for a rustic, homey vacation rental, this is it!! We enjoyed ourselves immensely and were in want for nothing. Beach is a stone's throw down the street and the scenery in any direction is absolutely surreal. Thanks, Bob! We'll be back!!😃
We very much enjoyed our stay at this cabin in Netarts. This well-loved, rustic cabin has a lot of charm and made for a very pleasant stay! We found the owners very accommodating. Netarts is a quiet community and there is great access to beach activities and Netarts Bay. The kitchen is well stocked, there are lots of board games available and the people at the Terimore Hotel were happy to loan DVDs. The owners recommendations about activities in the area were spot on and very helpful. This is a fun and affordable cabin with lots of bunk beds making it perfect for families with small children. We very much enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend this cabin. Thanks for making this a very pleasant experience.
Great little house
Have to admit we were a little disappointed when got there, but the house was so homey our girls loved it , we felt like we were home . The beach was amazing , the walk way to the beach was our favorite would definitely go back . Mr shoemaker was very nice even gave us a discont.
Adorable and convenient
Owner was friendly and easy to work with, provided excellent instructions.
A great property in the heart of Netarts, this was perfect for a weekend at the beach. Plenty of bunks for kids or a party that doesn't mind a little shared space. Upstairs is a wonderful kitchen/living room loft.
Good for a jumping off point to the coast!
Charming family-friendly cabin
We stayed for several nights with close friends, a bunch of kids and our dog at this charming cabin. Very rustic and it is clear that this place is well-loved. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything one might need. We enjoyed being close to the beach and buying fresh oysters and crab right across the street at the local market. Our kids and dog loved taking the short walk down the beach to the sand dunes. Lovely, quiet and low key town. Nice break from the bigger tourist spots.
Great Place in Netarts close to beach and market.
I stayed here with a group of friends and was delighted with the cabins charm and feel. We all liked the location close to the beach and right next to Josi's market in town. The layout is nice having the sleeping area downstairs and the kitchen and living area upstairs. Well stocked kitchen with a grill and crab pot for use on the deck. We all look forward to staying here again soon.
Quiet beach on Netarts Bay, and surf beach as you walk north to Oceanside. Low-tide beach exploration, crabbing in the bay (rental boats available), clamming, and mussel gathering. Hikes in coastal rainforest at Cape Lookout and Cape Meares state parks.
