Modern two (2) bedrooms apartment, located in a 'real NY' neighborhood called the Upper West Side. Only 2 blocks from Central Park, and near many museums, Lincoln Center and Times Square. The 1/2/3 subway(metro) are only half a block away, so you can affordable travel anywhere in the city in less than 15 minutes (Times Square is only about a 5-minute subway ride away).

First bedroom has: 1 queen size bed + 1 single bed. Second bedroom has: one queen size bed. A large living room with a queen size sofa bed and twin size sofa bed. If needed a small crib(Pack & Play) supply also.

Full size bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and large dining table.

Apartment is fully furnished and equipped with everything you will need for your short or extended stay. 42” flat screen T.V, cables, wireless Internet(Wifi), iron, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, flatware, dishwasher, pots/pans, linens, bedding, towels, etc. Air conditioning and heat through out the apartment.

The Upper West Side serves as a great home base for visitors looking for an authentic New York City experience. Primarily a residential neighborhood, it provides an escape from the chaos of Midtown and other heavily tourist areas. The area is famous for lovely tree-lined streets and brownstone buildings. It is a great neighborhood for shopping, especially at gourmet stores, like Zabar's and Fairway and is a train hop away from the shops at Columbus Circle.

This particular stretch of Amsterdam Avenue has an amazing diversification of affordable (i.e. non-touristy) but excellent restaurants, with foods ranging from cuban to vietnamese to sushi to steakhouses.

The neighborhood is completely safe to walk at any time during day and night.

***The subway station is on 96th street and Broadway, the #1/2/3 trains.

Good place, terrible attention to clients

The place was clean and well equipped for our needs. However, we need to point out the treatment received by the time we were arriving to the place was unacceptable. We were driving from another city to Manhattan and unfortunately our arriving time changed. We called and try to provide a good estimate for our new arrival time, considering we are foreigners. In this call we noticed the person we spoke with was upset, and was not cooperative enough.

By the time we called again to inform we were entering Manhattan this person was not only upset, she yelled and threaten us saying we would have to spend the night on the street with our 3 children aged 8, 12 and 14 years old. We were also forced to pay a fine of 100 USD in cash as a condition to give us the keys of the apartment, despite this amount was over the fine established in the contract we signed.

Once we were in the apartment everything worked well. However, the building does not have elevator, so if you are a family of 5 traveling with large luggage, this is not the place to stay as you have to carry all your luggage up and dawn through very narrow stairs. Absolutely not recommented for pleople with disabilities, small children or elder people.

General speaking the place is ok, well located but the people who manage the relationship with clients are extremely rude and impolite. The exception was the lady who cleans the apartment; she was always responsive and very kind.

Owner's Response: This review is a complete false and shocking after the nice treatment those guests got from us. In order to have a nice and smooth check in with our guests, we always set a check in time and explain the guests that as we are not a hotel, we come to the apartment especially to meet with them. So if the guest is delayed they need to let us know. If guests fly, we alway have the flight number so we can check. We highlight this on our check-in email and explain it a few times. These specific guests, asked for a special early check in of 11am instead of the normal check in of 3 pm. We agreed for no change. We had waited at the apt just before 11am. We heard nothing From the guests by 12pm, so we texted the guest, we had no response so we called and left a voice mail. We also sent an email, but nothing. We had tried many time since than but no response from the guests. Finely we got the guests around 12:30 and they said "we are running late be there around 2pm. By 2 pm we heard nothing, we tried calling again, but nothing. We finely got a hold of guests again and they changed now to 4-5pm. Again we heard nothing. We kept leaving voice mails to the guests to explain to them that it's just not possible to have a person waiting all day for them to arrive. We got a call from them at 6pm telling us that they decided to go shopping and it would be later. We had explained to them that is unacceptable and they must head in to the city now. We explained to them that we where waiting from 11am and we can't wait any more. The guests ignored us and at 9pm at night we got a call from the guests to let us know that they are on there way. We explained to them that at this point there is no one waiting for them any more and if they still wanted the apartment for they night they will have to pay the late fees that are agreed in advanced per the contract and they will have to pick up keys form a different place. They disagreed about it, so we told them that they can go to a hotel at that point. The guests finely arrived at 10pm and picked up the keys and paid the late fee per the contract. After all of this, these guests forgot their iPad at the apt and we went out of our way to return it to them. These guests have no respect at all for others. When renting an apartment, guests must understand that they are not renting a hotel room with a lobby and a 24 hour check in desk.

AVOID THIS PLACE

Owner was unresponsive to issues with the apartment - he would not take our calls and did not return our messages. In fact the "owner" asked that should anyone in the building ask we should mention that we were family. I don't think he was actually the owner of the unit but rather he leased the apartment and then sub-leased it to us.

The apartment was dirty. Our socks were black from simply walking on the wood floors in the unit. I doubt the floors were regularly mopped.

On the second day of our stay, we informed the owner's assistant that the toilet did not function. She told us to use the plunger. After having tried to use it for over 30 minutes we again tried to reach her to no avail. We tried to contact the property manager / owner (Ari) via phone and text. He did not respond to any of our attempts to communicate with him. The assistant appeared to have shut her phone and did not take any additional texts / calls from us for the remainder of the day. Finally on Saturday night the Super came and told us there was a problem with the toilet (not due to a blockage but rather due to there being a lack of water coming out of the reservoir) and fixed it. I would note that we were five people in the apartment - with only one bathroom. I don't believe it should take two full days to send a repair man and both Ari and his assistant could have made themselves available to respond to our concerns in a prompt manner.

The Super had to initialize the TV since we were unable to use it. After watching some TV for one night, it did not function for the rest of our stay.

The fridge was also an issue. After trying to contact the assistant and and the owner multiple times, we finally got through to assistant and the Super was sent to fix the fridge . At that point we had to throw away approximately 25$ - 35$ worth of groceries. I don't believe this was an isolated incident since the assistant mentioned that they have had issues with the fridge.

Owner's Response: I really do not understand why those guess wrote a review like this, they had received an excellent service from us. We had respond to all emails, texts and voice mails immediately. We open the toilet for them 5 times during there stay even though they kept plugging it with putting to much toilet papers. We had sent the supper to unplug it every time they called. We had show the guests how to put the TV at check in like we always do. That same night they had called us calming they cant put the TV on again after putting it off. I personally was on the phone with them trying to explain them what to do. After 30 min conversation, when they could not understand, we had sent the supper to put the TV on. Nothing was broken, they just never put the cable on, only the TV. After that they had called and text us again about the TV every day of there stay, every time they put the TV off they could not put it on. Our supper never had to go to one apartment so many times. Nothing was wrong with the fridge, but we still had the supper check and told us that he just adjust the tempter for them. We still offered to give them the money back for what they had claimed got bad. This is an apartment, it is not an hotel, to put a refrigerator with a colder temperature, to put on a cable box, to open a toilet when you plug it with so many toilet papers, we expect the guests to do on there on, but we still responded to all there calls and came to the apartment without charging the guests as we should and specify in our contract. Those guests were a problem from before even arriving to the apartment, there emails and texts were very rude. They had many requests that we reply and except. They wanted an early check in, a late check out… and they got all requested. We really went out of our way with those guests, but nothing made them happy and they blamed us for all there wrong doing. We are proud at the way we clean our apartments, everything is cleaned, washed, laundered and shine before a new guests are arrived. There is no way that they got in to a dirty apartment and if they did, why they did not say a thing, they called us 5 times a day for everything else. ***We are just happy to say that with all our apartments and all those years, we do not get guests like those often. We probably bound to get someone like that from time to time, but 99% of our guests are pleaser to work with. Any question you have, please do not hesitate to contact us before you book.

Well-sized for a family visit, great location

Spent a few days visiting as a family of four (parents + two school-age kids) and we really appreciated having separate bedrooms and small living area. Much nicer to have a bit of space than just one shared hotel room. Clean, well-furnished apartment had everything we could need. Easy to make all our arrangements through manager Ari, even though our reservation was a bit last-minute. Apartment has a great location on the Upper West Side. Only one block from the 96th street subway station (1,2,3 lines) and a few blocks from the station for B & C lines, made travel to midtown quick and easy and even down to lower Manhattan was no problem. Great restaurants nearby, we really liked the wood-fired pizza at Numero 28 and the Manhattan Diner was great for classic diner fare. Also many small groceries nearby to buy a few breakfast basics. Would recommend, especially if visiting as a family or a group of adults.

Clean, great location and roomy

Our family loved staying in this apartment. It was conveniently located near the subway station and close to Central Park. The apartment was very clean with plenty of room for our family of 6. The managers were accommodating and welcoming. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Friendly, efficient check-in, plenty of space and fantastic location

We spent five nights in this 2-bedroom apartment [4B] on the fourth floor [no elevator for those with limited mobility but not a bad climb at all]. Rosa was friendly and efficient in checking us in on a Friday evening, and there was enough space for my husband, four children [14 to 6] and me. My sister and her husband also stayed for three nights in one of the bedrooms while the kids bunked out in two IKEA-style pullout sofas. The apartment basically has three rooms - 2 bedrooms and a central living room with a TV, two sofas and a small 4-person table for eating. The kitchen and bathroom are NYC-small but have everything you'd need. The location was wonderful, just enough away from the hubbub of Midtown and Times Square but accessible to it all. The metro was just around the corner; Central Park just two blocks away; and there are plenty of decent local markets and restaurants. Thanks again to Rosa for her kindness and letting us store our luggage a little while before our late departure, and to Ari for quick information and straightforward booking.

Great NYC Apt
