About the property

We offer accommodation for 1 to 7 people. Please call for more info.

Please ring me on my cell, should you be seriously interested in this house. 781.254.9941

Cent Dix Sept is radiantly heated in winter and air conditioned in summer. The house offers three bedroom suites on two separate floors, with a living level in between. The Master Floor is upstairs on the third floor and the other two bedroom suites, home theatre and laundry are located on the first floor. I designed the house specifically to offer the lower two bedroom suites privacy from the master floor upstairs. It is not the ideal house for children.

The house can be rented EITHER as a two bedroom or three bedroom suite property. Rates are different, depending upon how many bedrooms/floors you occupy.

NOTE: Two different rates, depending upon whether you book two bedroom suites or all three bedroom suites. WINTER NIGHTLY RATES are posted for the three bedroom version of the house. Two bedroom rate is less. SUMMER WEEKLY RATES are posted for the two bedroom version of the house. Three bedroom rate is more. Please call me on my cell: 781.254.9941 to discuss, as I do NOT accept online bookings without at least one personal telephone conversation with my rental clients.

Stowe's winter reputation is world-renowned. We're home to Mount Mansfield, the highest peak in Vermont, and the Stowe Mountain Resort, recently acquired by Vail Resorts and another place your Epic Pass can be used.

For the winter season:

Holiday nightly rates are in effect during Christmas/New Year's and Presidents Week periods. Nightly holiday rate for Christmas/New Year's is $900 and the nightly holiday rate during the Presidents week ten day period is $850.

The three bedroom non holiday 2017/2018 winter nightly rate is $750, January 1 through February 15. From February 26 to April 1st, the three bedroom non holiday nightly rate is $700.

Situated only two walking minutes above the Mountain Road and The Harvest Market, this house is walking distance to Stowe's Recreation Path, our Sunday Summer Farmer's Markets, the West Branch Gallery, the Swimming Hole and many other recreational options. One mile up the Mountain Road, makes the village only two minutes away by car. And five miles from the mountain, makes skiing an easy drive or free commute on the Stowe Shuttle. We're in the middle of biking heaven, whether you ride on or off road.

Summer weekly rate is $2200/$3200. Summer nightly rate is $400/$600.

If you look on the homeaway map, you will see the grey line of Stowe's Recreation Path and the blue line of the West Branch River intertwining, as they meander the 5.5 mile course of the walking path. The house is 1/4 of a mile from our Rec Path, a shaded and peaceful place to walk for fun or as an alternative to the sidewalk and into the village, about 1 1/2 miles from the house.

Arts, Culture and Entertainment in Stowe: Summer activities include Stoweflake's Hot Air Ballooning Festival, Concerts in the Meadow up at the Trapp Family Lodge, outdoor arts festivals, culinary dinners and our weekly Sunday Farmer's Market. Please visit for a complete list of summer festivals and activities.

Fall is also lovely, here in Stowe. Evening temperatures are cool and days are warm. New England is known for its gorgeous foliage and our area features spectacular sugar maples that glow in every shade from sunshine yellow to scarlet. Foliage peaked last year between Oct 8 - 12.

We are also happy to accommodate smaller parties and have done so for honeymoons, anniversaries and other spur of the moment special occasions. Please call to discuss your situation. 781.254.9941

What makes this house unique

The walkability, quality of furnishings & aesthetic set this property apart from all others in Stowe. You just won't have the combination of nearby access to The Harvest Market & Stowe's Rec Path with the nurturing & beautiful interior of Cent Dix Sept. Absolutely, there are larger gorgeous properties in our town -- but if you're looking for something intimate and comfortable for 2-6 people, I would bet you won't find anything comparable and urge you to check out the other available houses in Stowe. Call me, if you have questions. 781.254.9941

Guestbook comments from the owner

Good morning Wendyll,

We both wanted to thank you for letting us stay in your wonderful house. We had such a lovely vacation.

We rode all of the SMBC and FOTW areas that make the Stowe area such a fantastic place to mountain bike (it really amazes me that East Burke is still held up as the "gem of the East Coast" in the biking magazines when Hinesburg, Sleepy Hollow, Cady, etc. are so much more challenging); we rode all of our favourite road loops; and when the rain came, ran our favourite trail runs too.

And each day, we got to return to your wonderful house, relax in the tub, sit on the deck with a beer, and enjoy the solitude in the woods. Truly fantastic.

Over the last 20 years, we have visited Stowe probably 14 or 15 times for such trips, but never with such wonderful accommodation until this trip, so rest assured, we will be in touch to rent from you again.

Thank you so much.

Cent Dix Sept was designed as a luxurious sanctuary for adults. The pantry features a wet bar and barware for cocktails and wine. Exterior and interior stairway railings are cabled and inappropriate for small children. Home theatre area on the lower level can double as an office. Television is by cable and is available on all three levels. Internet is high speed wireless. Network has a code. The chef's kitchen was designed with the gourmet dinner party in mind. Henckels knives, Villeroy mugs, All-Clad and Calphalon cookware provided and we ask that the Calphalon NOT be put through the dishwasher. Should you prefer lighter weight cookware, it is also available.

A Magical Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

This property is truly magical. You feel like you are sleeping in the treetops, as the house is nestled so perfectly into the beautiful Vermont woods. It's immaculate, spacious, and well-kept, perfect for people who love to be both indoors and out. The kitchen is fabulous and the guest rooms are lovely, each with its own individual charm. In the morning, you can walk down the hill for gourmet coffee and baked goods, and there are restaurants and things to do everywhere you turn. An absolutely a one of a kind place to stay!

Lovely, clean house with great host

  • 5 of 5

It amazes me that this property is available for rent. We rent in Healdsburg, CA, twice each year, and only because it is inexpensive as a 2BR. This house in Stowe is SO MUCH MORE FAB as a 3BR, I don't exactly understand how the numbers work. Doesn't matter, at the end of the day.

The location is great: walking distance to the Mountain Road, restaurants, galleries and The Harvest Market.

If you like Stowe, you will love this house.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family spent a week in Stowe and loved staying in this beautiful and well maintained house!! It was convenient to everything including the Stowe recreational path, the Stowe Village, canoeing, hiking, Mr. Mansfield, and even zip lining. It definitely made our vacation more relaxing! We loved Stowe and would definitely return and stay here again!! Thank you to the owner who was very helpful and does an outstanding job in preparing for your stay. We wish we were back in Stowe right now (the weather was much nicer than Florida during the summer!!)

We felt like we were home

  • 5 of 5

We've stayed in many hotels, apartments and houses in Stowe, and this stay was by far our best and most enjoyable Stowe experience. There was no detail missed in the design of this house. It was cozy and comfortable, and you can't beat the location. We walked to the Farmer's Market, into town for dinner and ice cream, and to the Harvest Market grocery store at the bottom of the hill for morning coffee and muffins. And to top it off, the owner is incredibly hospitable, reliable, wordly, and just fun to be around. We will definitely stay here again.

Owner's Response: How very nice! And I didn't even have to pay them! Seriously, though, a lovely family with two children who were beautifully behaved, well mannered and great conversationalists, in their own right. Really lovely rental clients. I look forward to welcoming them back to Cent Dix Sept.

A Perfect Stay!!!

  • 5 of 5

I rented this home as a family getaway, to enjoy a couple days of relaxation with my son, who was off for parents weekend from Norwich University. The house was absolutely gorgeous -- very well located, spanking clean, and superbly decorated. Owner Wendyll has provided every amenity you can think of - kitchen is fully outfitted with everything from martini glasses to a Cuisinart. I was able to cook a wonderful home-cooked meal for my Norwich "rook" and we all enjoyed the sauna, hot tub and beautiful surroundings. This was truly a perfect stay, and we will definitely rent again!!

Thank you so much,

Kim, Patrick & Maggie Martin

Could not be more pleased!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a spectacularly wonderful summer vacation week in Stowe. There are many reasons for this but we are certain that the Cent Dix Sept house was a major part of our pleasure. The property itself is beautiful, well appointed and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked for any type of cooking. We also enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit a few evenings. You should also know that the location is exceptional, being very close to the heart of Stowe Village.

The Green Mountains are lush and beautiful with fresh clean air and scenic in so many ways with many activities and places to visit. We enjoyed the Ben & Jerry's tour, horseback riding and fishing among other things. As for Stowe, it is a clean, friendly and pleasant village that is easy to get around in with many fine places to eat. The 7-mile Rec Path is a true highlight, cutting through and around the village with great vistas. In all, we could not have been more pleased with our stay and look forward to a return visit in our future.

Owner's Response: This couple came to Cent Dix Sept with their two children and their niece for a one week stay in July. The weather was perfect and the kids had great fun cycling the Rec Path by day and toasting marshmallows in the fire pit at night. The proximity of the house to the village amenities definitely contributed to everyone having such a great time. Stowe is an exceptionally safe community with many restaurants and even more options for recreational entertainment. Please come for a visit and learn firsthand why our town has the reputation it does!

How much more fun can it get? We are walking distance to Stowe's Bike Path and the Harvest Market, with their fine array of morning coffees, prepared foods, wines and freshly baked breads. And that also makes us walking distance to the Mountain Road and the free shuttle that runs from 7am until 10pm between the Stowe Mountain Resort and our nearby village in winter. Our local stop is at the Town & Country Inn on the Mountain Road or en route and with a wave of your hand.

Fly into Burlington and use Peg's Pick-Up for local transport to Stowe. Or drive to town via I-89 to Exit 10 -- which takes you to Route 100 North and right into the village. We're located just about one mile up the mountain road, aka Route 108, and six miles from the mountain.
