The suite was renovated, May 2011, and the use of local materials, suppliers and trades makes it uniquely Victoria. Furnished to 'stand out from the crowd,” all fabrics and furniture pieces were selected by Interior Designer, Teresa Ryback, who is recognized for creating grand prize lottery dream homes and luxury residential properties. The Pied-à-Terre features two balconies on the main level that open to create a refreshing cross breeze and a private, rooftop deck that can be accessed via an in-suite staircase (luxury yacht-type ladder) or by way of elevator and stairs from the building’s hallway. Loved the Pied-à-Terre Penthouse

When we arrived at the Pied-à-Terre, our gracious host Teresa gave us a full tour of the penthouse and we were immediately impressed.

It was beautifully decorated and fully equipped with all the amenities including fridge, dishwasher , washer/dryer, TV, etc.

Gorgeous floor to ceiling windows so we could enjoy the harbour view from anywhere.

We enjoyed the 2 patios which included an incredible roof top deck.

Located in a fabulous central location everything was within a short walk away, including restaurants, pubs, boating, transportation, gift shops etc.

The underground parking spot was close to the door/elevators.

We should also mention that the price was very reasonable.

We had a wonderful stay at the Pied-à-Terre and would highly recommend it.

Beautiful Condo!! Centrally located!

This property exceeded our expectations! The interior was immaculate, well decorated, well maintained and stocked with everything to make you feel at home. We cooked several meals in the kitchen and all of our breakfasts in the morning and it was stocked with everything and more that one would need.

Victoria is a very walkable city and the location of the condo was central to everything we wanted to check out in town. We even took a water taxi one morning (very fun) though our destination was a pleasant walk away.

Both Teresa and the concierge Francis were very helpful and prompt to communicate.

We went the Canoe Restaurant across the way and took home a growler of beer. Took pizza home two nights from Famoso a short walk away.

I've already recommended this property to friends heading up in November.

Excellent Penthouse and Perfect Location.

Stayed for 3 wks Jul-Aug, everything was as advertised. Previous review is spot-on. Study the local street map and you can walk to almost everything in 15 mins or less. Location is on an active waterway so, yes, there will be "boat sounds" including horns from the ferry and water taxi (if you can't manage 15 min walks the water taxi is very convenient and right out front). Seagulls and some across-the-street construction will add to the noise but again, you are in a busy area and on the waterfront: it's to be expected if you want to be in the center of activities. If you close the windows it's very quiet. We had no issues with feeling safe even walking back at 10-11 PM at night. Lots of homeless throughout Victoria (and everywhere else these days...) but they were friendly and rarely even asked for change. There may be less expensive units in the same building/area but this is THE premium Penthouse with corner views into the inner harbor, a deck out front and your own private rooftop deck up top.

We definitely will return

The condo was as good as advertised -- we loved the open, airy feeling in the living room with its two walls of windows. The location is great. We have visited Victoria many times and this is close to our favorite restaurants, Brasserie L'Ecole and Il Terrazzo, and within walking distance of most things we want to see and visit when we are there. The bus system is tied in well with the Google Maps app, so it is very easy to get around without a car. We went out to the UVic campus and several other places using the buses. All in all, a wonderful experience.

A mixed bag of a review

My review is a mixed bag, we had chosen to stay in Victoria after driving from Calgary through the Rockies on honeymoon, as we were looking forwarded to some lazy days of getting up late and wandering round Victoria having some good food & wine.

I am going to split my review in two, as the actual apartment is fantastic, with great views and facilities. The roof terrace was great to sit in the late afternoon sun and enjoy a beer or glass of wine. We were able to watch the world go by from the balcony on a morning while having breakfast.

The location for sightseeing round Victoria is fantastic however the building work next door was an issue. There is building work on a new bridge and construction work on a set of apartments next door. At 07:00 on the Saturday morning we were awoken by loud siren going off followed by the sound of builders filling a skip by throwing rubbish into it form the second floor.

I contact the owners who told me that work should not be going on over a weekend, however there was! Sunday thankfully we were able to have a sleep in, however for the other day of our trip 07:00 was our alarm call whether we liked it or not!

There is also a “community centre” at the top of the road which seems to attract some of the more dubious characters Victoria has, not a massive problem but on an evening they did seem to hang around the front door making it a little uncomfortable walking past.

As I said we LOVED the apartment, we LOVED the roof terrace, we LOVED the location to the city centre, the things that let it down are out of the owners hands but I believe you need to be aware before you book…… Big question would we book it again, and the honest answer is only a maybe……

Perfect.

our trip to Victoria was wonderful, and the condo was everything we hoped for. Reading other reviews I worried about the noise level but that was no problem at all. What little noise there was we easily drowned out with a fan. If I could do anything differently it would be to read through the owners binder of dining recommendations earlier (I flipped through it the day we left). I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
