We had a wonderful time at your beach house and left you a note (not sure if you got it or not) at the house...
We will definitely return to your lovely home – it was perfect for our family (the spiral staircase was a little tricky though)!
We spend one night in this beautiful property that has direct beach access and is tucked away in a private residential area behind a ranger-patrolled state beach.
While the beach is accessible to the public, people not from the area rarely do. They use the public access from the state beach, making this an amazingly secluded experience. I slept with the windows open, enjoying the waves and woke up to a huge migration of whales that you could see dancing all over the Monterrey Bay.
We are city people and really needed time off just like this – cooked at the house, went running on the beach and played board games at night. The deck is stunning with sweeping views of the whole bay and this is where I spent most of my day reading while the rest of the group discovered an apparently amazing fish restaurant in Moss Landing which I missed out on being lazy. Oh well!
We'll be back for sure. What a happy place!
Our family of 4 (two teens) enjoyed the beach house. The views were great, although it is chilly on the deck. The house was clean. It is an odd layout with the tiny spiral staircase and outside access through the master, but that only added to the charm. We appreciated the keyless entry, hot tub on the deck, games, washer/dryer, huge beach towels, boogie boards, and beach access. The steps to the beach are intense. We are quite fit and while we didn’t need to pause on the way back up, we were huffing and puffing. It was worth it though for the nearly secluded beach! The water is chilly, but that didn’t stop the kids from boogie boarding- better waves than we had in the Gulf. There are not many houses right on the beach, so if you want a view (and ocean sounds from the master!) this is a good one. It is 10 minutes from town with everything you might need. One added bonus- you will pass many strawberry fields. Now when we buy strawberries we notice they say from Watsonville, CA.
Wonderful stay. Couldn't be more happy. Quiet and friendly neighborhood. You would never guess there was any neighbor around you. Just walk in and felt like I was on a island by myself. Never heard any outside noise. Loved that you could drive a minute down the street to fresh strawberries. Best I've ever had!! The stairs down to beach aren't to terribly long, but coming back up was a great workout. My mother is in her 60s and did really well with stairs and I think we visited the beach at least once a day. Everyone seemed really friendly in the area, including the local fisherman every morning down on beach. Shopping and grocery stores only 5 to 10 minutes away. Great management, she answered and returned every single one of our phone calls, plus answered all our questions. All instructions are clear when you first walk in on how to manage the house. There's everything you would need in a kitchen. Dishwasher doesn't work well, we hand washed most. Washer and dryer available. Bedding and sheets are very clean. Only used the hot tub once but was wonderful. Does get pretty chilly at nights and we are from colorado. Thanks for the stay and wonderful communication.
Beautiful place to stay for a more reserved and quiet vacation, yet was close to Monterey and Santa Cruz. Very steep steps to the beach though, but worth the effort.
We stayed here with my friends for 2 nights last weekend.
We absolutely loved this place.
They have anything I mean anything that you need in this place.
The view is outstanding !
The house is so clean and overly loaded with dishes and towels.
The only problem may accure if you travel with kids or elderlis is the stairs to the beach.
We will be back again.
We loved our stay at this ocean front house only a few minute walk down the cliff steps to the beach. The sound of the waves was a relaxing back ground to this secluded quiet neighborhood which is all but hidden by a state park. We enjoyed walking on the beach and using this home as a base for exploring Santa Cruz, Watsonville, Monterey, and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Many shore birds are to be seen, as well as, passing dolphins, etc. A cute little hummingbird visited us each morning as we enjoyed our coffee on the deck. Also, great view of sunsets!
