End unit condominium in Bigwood with sunny exposure and views with no one above, below or shared walls. New windows, carpet and remodeled bathrooms. Bigwood is located in a quiet neighborhood in town on Majestic Pines, has a nice view of trees and the Sherwin Mountains, and is adjacent to the Sierra Star golf course. The yellow line shuttle (free service) travels to Eagle Lodge and the Village and is a short walk of .25 miles. Chair 15 is a quick drive of .75 miles from this woodsy complex with home style architecture.

This two level, two bedroom and two bathroom condominium is located in Building T, close to the Pool and spa. There is a fully equipped kitchen, 3 flat screen TVs, DVRs, DVD player, and woodstove (firewood provided). The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The upstairs bedroom sleeps 6 with two bunk beds and a double bed. There is a table with 4 chairs, a full bathroom and walk in closet upstairs

The living room has a new sofa sleeper. This unit is non-smoking and has a single car garage (only one parking pass is given for the second vehicle to park outside, large vehicle may not fit).

- 6 foot wall by front door dedicated to hooks and benches for coats, boots etc?

- Wood burning fireplace that quickly warms up the living area, plenty of free firewood provided

- Fully equipped kitchen

- Single car garage to pull your vehicle into (7 foot clearance)

- Easy to find- only a few short steps to the front door

- Large Jacuzzi, pool and laundry facilities just steps away

- Wireless internet

The Unique Benefits at this Condo: You'll find that being in Bigwood allows you to be close enough to town, but in a more woodsy and residential neighborhood that is quiet and beautiful. During the winter, areas for snow play are quite close. In the summer, bike paths are close. What is unique about our condo is that it has a more modern feel while still reflecting the mountains and beauty of Mammoth. We've been coming to Mammoth for 16 years and finally bought a place of our own. It's an amazing place, both in winter and summer, and we know you'll have a great time.

About Kelley Barton

We've been coming to Mammoth for 16 years and finally bought a place of our own. It's an amazing place, both in winter and summer, and we know you'll have a great time.

Kelley Barton purchased this condo in 2010

Why Kelley Barton chose Mammoth Lakes

This condo does not share any walls with other units, no one above or below. Great views of the pool and jacuzi, short amount of stairs, garage right underneath. That's why we chose it, along with the nice view of the Sherwins and lots of bright sunlight through the windows.

What makes this condo unique

Our condo is a blend of rustic and modern. Its much different from the folksy and cute decor many in Mammoth have.

Guestbook comments from the owner

I would describe this condo as “Rustic Modern.” Its high open-beam ceilings and rough hewn timber beams are offset with new modern furnishings, steel architectural details and up-to-date electronics. The condo has 3 large flat-screen TVs each with their own cable boxes and WiFi, Bring your X-Box or Wi and plug and play. This condo feels more like a home than a condo because it has no adjoining or shared walls with other units and garage parking is directly below the unit. The wood fireplace is extremely efficient and warms the condo wonderfully and quickly along with other mini heaters in each room. The view of surrounding peaks is spectacular and because the complex is heavily wooded you feel like you are in a forest retreat, while being only minutes from downtown Mammoth. This condo is perfect for 2 adults or great for a slumber party of 10. It is extremely close to the Jacuzzi so those late night dashes back to the condo through the snow are quick. The dining room table opens up to fit 4-6 people comfortably and the breakfast bar can hold 3 to 4 people. The kitchen is small yet quite functional with microwave, refrigerator freezer, oven, electric cook-top, dishwasher and garbage disposal. The complex has it’s own bulldozer so plowing the roads and driveways start early so you can get to the slopes at opening. This is a wonderful, functional, comfortable, cozy, and private condo. I highly recommend it!

What a place!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this rental for 3 days and had an absolute blast. I surprised my wife with a trip to Mammoth for her birthday and we brought the whole family up. The rooms were very spacious and well kept. The house was warm during our entire stay. We had everything that we needed and felt so rested afterwards. I would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Nice location with modern updates

  • 5 of 5

Well appointed unit just perfect for our family of 2 adults and 3 kids under 8. Easy access to the pool, spa, and laundry. All of Mammoth is convenient. We went mountain biking, bowling, shopping, out to eat, and used the bike path. Thank you for the clear and quick communication both before and during our stay.

Fishing Trip With Grandson

  • 4 of 5

The condo was very nice and roomy with lots of pleasant creature comforts. The spa and pool were adjacent to the unit, but noise was not a problem. Excellent unit except for the parking. Had to have the teenager park the car, because he was the only one that could get out after parking.

Owner's Response: The garages in our complex were built in the 70s and are a challenge for large SUVs or Trucks so I can relate. I have to get from the passenger side and crawl over when I park in the garage with my Sequoia. But there is usually adequate outdoor parking spaces for those with larger vehicles.

Perfect vacation condo!

  • 5 of 5

I went skiing with a few friends and stayed at this condo for 5 days--it was exactly what we were looking for!! It's really modern and clean, looks exactly as good as the pictures, and has basically everything you might need. In addition to being in close proximity to the town and mammoth mountain, the condo has good internet service, a really cozy wood fireplace, access to a nice hot tub, and a good selection of tv and movies available. We cooked dinner most nights and found the kitchen to be very well equipped. I would definitely rent this place again when I return to mammoth.

The Perfect Weekend Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were a small group of young adults and had a wonderful time spending the weekend in this cabin. There were plenty of beds, wifi, cable, and easy access to the town and surrounding activities. The cabin matched the pictures and is well thought out, organized, and well maintained. The owner is very friendly and provides great customer service. For such a great price, I would stay at the cabin again and recommend it to friends and family.

Perfect for our Family!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was perfect for our family of 5. Our kids, ages 8, 11 and 13, LOVED the bunkbeds in the loft bedroom and there was room for their cousins to have sleepovers very comfortably as well. (There was a baby gate provided in the master bedroom closet for a family with a toddler.) The unit is just as it shows in the pictures. It has been very tastefully renovated and pretty much anything we needed was there, including plastic sleds that we used on a very snowy morning. There were games in the closet, tons of firewood on the porch, great instructions for everything and comfy, good quality soft sheets on the beds (something I am picky about). Bathrooms were spotless and equipped with nice towels and hotel-sized shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soaps. The garage is directly under the unit and right next to the stairway so it was easy to unload the car. The attendants at Bigwoods were constantly plowing the snow and shoveling the walkways including the stairs up to the unit. We regretted not sitting in the hot tub which is right next door but it was really cold when we were there. When we go back to Mammoth, we will absolutely book this condo again. It was a terrific trip and we felt very at home here. All the units at Bigwoods are compact and this one was so well planned/designed that we never felt short on space. The wall, upon entering, had enough heavy duty hooks for all our coats & gear, a rack for helmets, goggles and gloves, a bench for more clothing and boots and a nice set up for storing skis and snowboards. During our 5 day stay, there wasn't one thing that felt we needed that wasn't provided. The owner was in communication with us prior to check-in to assure a smooth arrival and followed up with us the day we checked out. I highly recommend this condo. Our family had a terrific time.
