Welcome to our classic Florida beach home, located less than 5 minutes from two of Delray’s best beaches. Beachy, fun, Key West furnishings inside, original hardwood floors throughout. Three bedrooms and two completely updated bathrooms, along with a brand new granite and stainless-steel kitchen.
Spend your days at the beach and your afternoons on our covered back porch, under the ceiling fans, sipping something cool. Fenced-in backyard with shaded and sunny seating, plus a dining area for entertaining outside. We’ve got a BBQ and even a chiminea (fire-pit) to boot.
In the evenings, you can easily walk to Atlantic Avenue’s many restaurants and shops, or better yet, do as the locals do and call up Delray's Downtowner shuttle (a free local golf cart shuttle - just one of the tips in our Locals' Guide you'll read about later!) and let them take you where you want to go! Either way, Atlantic Avenue is exactly 8 blocks, about a 10-minute walk. The home is 2 blocks from the Intracoastal Waterway, and it’s just a 5 minute drive to both the “main” beach at Atlantic Ave. and the quieter, more natural beach at Atlantic Dunes Park (We actually prefer the latter!).
Our charming, immaculate house has been our home during the off-season, and we are sure that couples and families alike will find our location, accommodations, and rates ideal! When you arrive, check out our 'Locals' Guide' we've made to give our guests info and directions for the best food, fun, and sun! Beach games, board games, and tons of books already there, you just bring the sunscreen!
There is also a wonderful waterpark 30 minutes north for family fun (The Rapids, West Palm Beach). Don't forget about historic Palm Beach Island, where the rich and famous play, and of course do their shopping on Worth Ave. (About 20 minutes N of our home on A1A.)
3 hours to Disney/Universal Studios theme parks
45 minutes to Miami
30 minutes to Ft. Lauderdale International Airport (FLL)
25 minutes from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI)
We hope you'll stay with us sometime soon!

Kelly and I have lived in Delray since 2008, although Kelly is practically a Florida native, having lived near here since she was 12. I'm originally from Alexandria, VA, but I fell in love with the ocean (and of course, Kelly!) and decided to stay for good!
We both travel a lot for work and pleasure, and have found that renting out our home is a win-win for ourselves and our lovely guests! We've had great luck with VRBO and have made some good friends with those who've rented here -- we hope to meet more wonderful people like you!
Jeff + Kelly Yates purchased this house in 2008
We love Delray!!! Of all the beach towns in South Florida, we chose this one not only as our vacation spot, but also as our permanent residence when we're not traveling for work and play. Delray has a great combination of beautiful beaches as well as shopping and restaurants/nightlife on Atlantic Ave.! It's becoming a bigger tourist destination every year, but it still has its local charm and cuteness.
If you check out our map, you can see we're right in the middle of everything there is to do in Delray!
Our ideal day when we're staying at our Delray property: Wake-up at 9 or so and spend the morning surfing or sunbathing at the beach. Shower off, grab a quick breakfast on Atlantic Ave (Crepes place is the best!). To cool off, we like to read for an hour or so at the many coffee shops on Atlantic or at the bookstore in the nearby shopping center. After a nap, it's off to dinner on the 'Ave' -- our favorite place the The Office - killer gourmet burgers!
The five of us were very comfortable in this clean, well appointed 3 BR house. The beds, furnishings and decorations are comfy and fun and the location is perfect. We used the free Downtowner to get us all to the beach and Atlantic avenue, or just walked. Hope to go back to Delray soon and will stay here again!
This was a great little place for our family to come down out of the mountain snow and stay in while visiting local relatives. The inside of the house is great. Open and inviting. The AC worked...which was important to us. 3 very different bedrooms all with extra linen. The outdoor washer and dryer was a bit different to get used to. Just light a citronella candle or two and youre good to go. Youre close to "downtown" delray beach and some great food and coffee. It would be great for friends heading to Delray, or a family with not as young children as we do. On rainy days it could get busy inside quick. Its not quite walking distance to things, but bikes would be great to get around. Grocery stores are close as well.
This house is a traditional peaked-roof three-bedroom house with central A/C and a modern kitchen, a dining room with four seats at the table, a living room with an entertainment center, and a small front room with a convertible sofa. It is a long walk to the beach at the end of Atlantic Ave, the shop and restaurant street (40 minutes, perhaps), and a shorter walk to the Atlantic Dunes beach, the one with public parking but no restaurants nearby. Much closer is a large shopping mall with a fine supermarket (Publix) and a huge LAFitness center, with an excellent pool, first-rate machines and free weights, and squash courts, along with the usual banks, clothing stores, etc. (To a New Yorker used to small, cramped facilities, these were a great resource.) On the way, one would pass a walk-in medical office. To those who enjoy or are hardened to suburban driving, though, these distances are trivial.
A pleasant patio south of the house is well screened from passersby (very few) and neighbors. Outside one will also find the washer and dryer. I had mixed feelings about the kitchen, though. It had new appliances, including a monster double-door fridge and a ceramic cooktop stove, both modern and fashionable, and two coffee makers, but the cooktop heats up and cools off slowly, and there was no tea kettle or working can opener. The cupboards revealed no cereal bowls, and the flatware was of the type one would find at a school cafeteria in a poor neighborhood. One bathroom lacked even one towel rack (that was one for the books, I thought), and the tub and shower had no grab handles, a troubling lack for elderly people worried about falls. Otherwise, the walk-in shower was most pleasant.
So the location is no problem for those who like to drive everywhere, and the neighborhood is most quiet. Walkers might have mixed feelings. And little things are sometimes annoying.
This is a cozy, classic Florida cottage that's well-maintained and has lots of room. We've come back three times. With three bedrooms and two baths, we had plenty of room for four people. Jeff is very attentive to detail. We'd recommend the house. It's best for renters with a car or bikes, though it is walking distance to Atlantic Ave.
We stayed over Christmas and New years with four people (16, 29, 53, 59 year old, from Germany). The house is as charming and pretty as shown in the pictures. Especially the spacious kitchen and living area were great for family gathering. Also the kitchen was super stocked with spices, herbs and all needed cocking accessories.
Rooms are nicely decorated but all the mattresses are very squeaky, unfortunately to the point that it inhibits good sleep. Electrical outlets in both bathrooms didn't work, so shaving etc. had to happen in the kitchen... there was no response from the owners regarding this matter.
We never met Kelly and Jeff what we regret. We would have preferred to meet them.
The outside yard and patio is in definite need for some tlc.
All over we had a relaxing and comfortable stay.
We recently stayed in Jeff and Kelly's lovely home in Delray Beach. It was our annual girls trip and our first time staying in Delray Beach. The house was lovely! There were four of us (five one evening) and the house was quite accommodating. We have rented several times through vrbo and yet to be disappointed. Delray has much to offer from great restaurants and nightly entertainment. As we prefer not to drive during our stay über, cabs but most especially the Downtowner were easy and quite fun! The pictures are exactly as represented, actually much better than the photos!
